Amanda Smith sighed, walked in, and noticed her old laptop still placed on the desk, and the bedding on the bed was just as she left it.
"Is this Mommy's room?"
Lily looked around curiously, her eyes sparkling, "Then can Lily stay next door to Mommy?"
"Yes," Amanda smiled, hugging her. "Aren't you happy?"
To Lily, the Johnson family was a completely unfamiliar place. Although Amanda had told her they would live there for a long time, she still had no concept of it. To her, it was just an unusually big and beautiful house; she felt at ease only because Amanda was by her side.
"Where is Daddy's room?" Lily asked, lifting her head.
"Samuel…" Amanda lowered her head to look at her and smiled, "Do you want to see it?"
"Yes, yes!" Lily nodded, "Will Mommy take me to see it?"
Amanda thought for a moment and said, "Your daddy doesn't like others touching his things, so let's just take a quick peek and then come out, okay?"
"Roger that!"
Lily excitedly saluted Amanda.
