Everything was going smoothly until something happened. "Sure! We're under attack!" The soldier that was injured said. "By who? Who are we under attack by?!" William asked as he's wondering if the dragons betrayed them. "Vampires, and there a lot of them! That's not all, I think I saw a centaur!" The soldier responded after he collapses from blood loss. Some of the guest panics when he did. "Everyone remain calm! The entire pack is right here. We all won't die this night, now everyone who can fight, come with me!" William announced it as he ran outside with some soldiers to fight the vampires. Valeria drank a wine glass and headed out too. She may not have her wolf but she still has her magic. Lilly wanted to head out too but then her brother stopped her. "No, you stay right here." Ronnie said while blocking her. Lilly wanted to say something but Ronnie cut her off and told Maddie to protect her. She agreed of course and then Ronnie went out as well.
Maddie transformed her tail to protect Lilly as she looks around for enemies. Suddenly a Sonic Boom blasted Lilly from behind. "Lilly no!" Maddie yelled as she rushes today the attacker. The attacker jumped to the ceiling by backflipping to dodge Maddie. They then sliced a part of the chandelier to make it fall on them. Maddie blocked it by transforming part of her arm into her dragon. "Why are you doing this!?" Lilly asked as she doesn't want to fight. "I was ordered to assassinate you, blah blah blah, and I got paid a lot for this." The attacker replied to her. She stepped out of the shadow and revealed she was a banshee. Maddie blasted searing hot flames at her but the banshee just made it dissipate by using a Sonic Boom which not only overpowered the flames but also hit Maddie. The Sonic Boom didn't really damage her because of her dragon scales but it did damage her eardrums a bit. "Whatever you do, is useless. You cannot beat me. Shifters are simply inferior compared to humanoids." The banshee said while thinking she overpowered them completely. Suddenly the ground beneath her melts and then it solidified again. "What is this!?" The banshee said. "Like it? It's my magical ability, Convection. It allows me to transfer heat to an object from another one. In this case, the heat from the candle and the air temperature from when I use my fire breathing thing at you. You see temperature doesn't just go away, it gets transferred equally to something." Maddie explained to her how the ground ended up like that. "So you removed a lot of temperature on this for it to solidify again. Very clever, however this is child's play." The banshee said as she broke out of it easily. "Of course I knew that, that was only for me to distract you from doing this!" Maddie replied. She actually transfered the heat through the air and made it go to the Banshee burning her skin. "I see, your ability is dangerous. I shall eliminate you quickly." The banshee backs up and starts focusing on creating an attack that is concentrated onto one point that it's destructive power is very deadly. She then fires it at point blank as Maddie tries to use herself to block the attack from hitting Lilly. Suddenly a blue flash appeared and then the attacked went back to her in an instant. The attack pierced her heart and went through it completely and then went through several layers of the castle walls before creating an explosion that destroyed the mountain terrains at the background.
It all happened in an instant. They didn't see how it happened or what even happened. What they know is a man in a black cloak and a mask suddenly appeared in front of them. Lilly could only watch as she feels that she's nowhere near as powerful as the other people in the room. The banshee struggles to breathe as she tries to stand up again and fight. She does one last charge and the cloaked-man but he just dodged it and punches her so hard his fist went through her body. This all happened really fast for both Maddie and Lilly. Suddenly the man disappeared in an instant. Maddie made sure Lilly was alright. This is the first time where Lilly felt incredibly powerless and didn't want to feel like that again. Instead of being scared for herself, she know thinks that she may be unable to protect what's important to her.
Someone entered the room after a while. "Are you two alright? Are you injured?" Valeria asked them very worried about them. "We're fine, I protected her from the assailant so we're okay." Maddie said while dismissing the mysterious man that appeared because it may cause some problems later on. Party was cancelled and everybody went home as the castle was being cleaned. Maddie stayed with Lilly in her room during this. I guess this is the first night they slept together. It would've been very romantic, however it wasn't due to what just happened earlier.
The very next morning, Maddie left after saying goodbye to Lilly. She has duties at her kingdom as the queen. Lilly went to her mother because both Ronnie and William are busy. "Mommy, can you help me with something?" She asked. "Of course honey, what is it?" Valeria agreed then asked about it. "Can you train me? Please, I want to get stronger." Lilly answered with courage. She did not want to feel that feeling again. Valeria agreed and asked her to change into something comfortable. Lilly changed into a jacket and jogging pants while Valeria is wearing a sports bra and a short. "Do you know the basics of magic?" Valeria asked her because she didn't know if Lilly knew it back then because Ronnie didn't. "Yeah, Bobby told me about it. Each races are associated with different elements. Wolf and Banshees are associated with Sound, Dragon, Phoenix and Goblins with Fire, Unicorns with lightning, Krakes n and Mermaids with water, Griffins and Pegasus are with Air, Minatuars, Centaurs and Basilisk are with Earth, and then Vampires can use all. However there are some races that aren't associated with any of these." Lilly responded. "Alright, it seems Bobby talks to you more than he does with Ronnie. But that's not all, each and everyone of us have different magical abilities as well. You haven't awakened yours yet, but soon you will." Valeria told her. "What's your Magical Ability?" Lilly asked in curiosity. "My magical ability is Repetition. Basically any attack I deal..." She punched a tree afterwards. "Will go twice." The tree gets punched again by another impact afterwards. "Is it only twice or can it go multiple times?" Lilly asked again out of curiosity. "It can, I'm out of practice however but it does work." Valeria responded. "When will I get mine?" Lilly asked very excitedly about it. "You'll get yours when the time comes." Valeria replied and was about to add something else. "Because of that, we'll train your elemental ability first." Valeria told her while she takes a fighting stance. "Stop my attack Lilly." She said that as she rushed at her. Lilly couldn't react on time and got hit by a punch with Repetition. "Ow... That hurts a lot mom!" Lilly complained as she might actually cry from the pain. "I won't go easy on you Lilly. To master the sound element, you must be able to feel it. You must know the sound, you must acknowledge it!" She said that again while preparing for another attack which Lilly wasn't ready for. Lilly got hit in the face which caused her to spit blood a bit. She also started crying from the pain. "Lilly, I'm not here to hurt you. Your enemies won't give you a chance to get up. You must remember that. Maddie, Ronnie, your father or I won't be able to save you everytime. You must learn how to act on your own." Valeria told her this to encourage Lilly to try harder.
Lilly got back up trying to muster through the pain. Only then was she able to hear her own heartbeat. She suddenly heard footsteps and it was her mom rushing at her. This time she could see her movements and where she will go and managed to dodge it once. "Nice one Lilly! You did well to dodge my attack. However how about the next one?" After saying that Valeria attacks her again. Lilly could do nothing but run. "Lilly, running from an enemy who's faster than you is useless." She said that after jumping at her in which Lilly was scared to take another hit. Because of that Lilly screamed and her sound element amplified that scream which blasted Valeria away a bit. She gets back up with ease and no struggle whatsoever. "You've grown so much Lilly! However that was merely a fluke. You have to be confident with your actions because if you hesitate, it might lead to your death." Valeria told Lilly because she didn't even try to do that attack earlier. "Do not worry though, your powers will only get stronger once your wolf awakens." She added while smiling at her. "I can't wait mom, but how am I supposed to fight back if all I can do is run?" Lilly asked her a question which Valeria was getting to. "Simple honey, I'll train you in combat." She said that after getting into another fighting stance.
A couple hours has passed after that and it's lunch time. "Hello hon-" Williamed stoped talking after seeing Lilly covered in bandages. "What happened?" Ronnie asked. "We had a little bit of training." Valeria answered them while smiling and her eyes are closed. "I think this should be considered as child abused." Lilly muttered those words but Valeria heard her. "Oh honey, if I were abusing you, you wouldn't be able to stand right now. Much accurate is you wouldn't be able to talk." Valeria replied to her. William, Ronnie and Lilly are now scared after what she said. They had lunch very peacefully, except for Lilly who's having Vietnam flashbacks every time her mother stared at her. Lilly did nothing in the afternoon but watch TV. She was watching an action film and the hero there reminded her of the man who appeared last night. She then watched a horror movie but the antagonist reminded her of the man last night again. She just called Maddie on the phone to get her mind off of things. She then flew to the palace to visit Lilly. "How's it going sweetheart?" Maddie asked in a kinky tone. "Peachy." Lilly replied. "You know something incredible just happened." Madeline said before Lilly cut her off. "Oh yeah? Something incredible happened to my face." She's talking about the injuries caused by her mom. Maddie just hugs her afterwards and kissed her on the cheek. "You look beautiful to me no matter what." Maddie added to her action. "Anyways, when I announced the thing to my kingdom, I thought they didn't like the idea, but really they actually want to see you." Maddie told her very cheerfully. "Really? Do they really Maddie?" Lilly asked for reassurance. Maddie nodded yes and she asked if Lilly was okay to come with her tomorrow. Lilly said yes it was okay.
Meanwhile in a secret place. "It seems your worst nightmare has happened." Said by a mysterious person to an unknown man. "In that case I'll deal with this myself." The man replied to the mysterious person.
