Raven Inanis would freely admit to himself in private that despite how much he was coming to hate humanity, it did have its merits.
Humanity was tenacious.
Upon their individuality and split from nature, the existence known as Gaia became two beings instead.
Gaia, The Worlds will to survive and stay beautiful. Protecting all creatures of her shell. Coming to see humanity as a threat and worked against them. Forcing their magic to degrade.
Alaya, The Will of Mankind. Ensuring humanity's survival at all cost, no matter what the cost is. Even if the cost is most of humanity, so long as they survive, and it survives. Its power existed in all humans, but it has become weak due to the sheer population of humanity. The sheer amount of them spreading it thin.
What a scary thing humanity was, managing to cause a being such as Gaia to fracture into two.
With a sigh, he shook his head and focused on his original thought. Despite how annoying they all were, not all were bad, and they had some good ideas.
Pizza, French Fries, Pokemon, Games and more.
Honestly, he'd keep humanity alive just to see what they could make. Though he was sure it would take more then a few thousand years for them to die off, or kill the planet.
It would still happen eventually.
After all, humanity wasn't a kind species.
He knew from experience just how far their kindness went. Both ways.

Raven raised an eyebrow at the motley trio before him huddled in the library, or perhaps he should say at the three asking him for help.
"You want my help in making a polyjuice potion?" He asked, and sure he'd do it for the sheer amusement of chaos it could cause, it wouldn't be that hard for him to make it, he wasn't sure if he cared enough to do so.
"Yes. We're trying to figure out who the heir is." Rose explained and he hummed, he was pretty sure it was some dark mind controlling magic happening, but whatever. They could do what they wanted.
"I don't exactly have the time for this, I do have my NEWTS to prepare for." Raven said and the three in front of him knew exactly what he was stating. He wanted compensation for his time.
"I can pay you." The slightly chubby boy said and he raised an eyebrow and looked down at his clothes, extremly expensive high quality ones.
"Money is not an issue for me." Especially since he didn't care for the economy and could make gold at will to sell. Jewels as well. Really, if he needed money immediately he could also just rob a bank.
"Knowledge?" The bushy haired buck teethed girl asked and I huffed.
"You don't have knowledge I don't already possess." He replied as he returned to his book.
"The chaos you could enjoy from whatever happens with the potion." Rose said and he smirked at her as he hummed.
"You know me well apprentice. You know me well. I do love chaos. Very well. I will assist you with the creation of this potion. You will need these ingredients, do NOT take them from Professor Snape's storage, or I will not be assisting you." Raven said with a steely glare at the two who weren't his apprentice, after all, he had taught Rose manners and some customs in the wizarding world.
Once he was pleased with their understanding of his hidden threat, he handed over a piece of paper listing all the ingredients for the polyjuice potion.
"Come find me after you have gotten all these ingredients." He said and waved them off as he returned to his pile of books, because he'd be damned if he didn't break every NEWT record held and then go beyond that.

Raven hummed to himself as he stared at the blank canvas before him, a bit away from him sat the bubbling cauldron containing the polyjuice potion. He could have just altered the recipe and let it be made many times faster, but he enjoyed the stressed looks the bushy haired girl would send him over his casual laziness for dealing with the potion.
It was annoying, but he just didn't care enough to deal with it. She at least knew to keep her mouth shut around him, though he could hear her grumbling when she thought he could hear her.
With a shake of his head he focused back onto the canvas in front of him and dipped his brush into the painting.
He let his hand flow and start painting, letting his body naturally guide itself, to follow his soul and its desire to draw something.
For four hours he had his eyes closed as his hand moved with the perfectionism he expected of his skills, and once he was sure he was done, he at the brush down and opened his eyes.
The painting was otherworldly.
Yet, despite all that, he felt a pull to the painting, to the castle, the floating islands, the giant mountains, the sky, the water, everything!

He felt a single tear slide down his face before he wiped it away, he was surprised he even had tears left at this point.
"Perhaps not everything in me is gone yet." He mused aloud with a small smile before he let the painting dry as he waved his hand and a floating sturing stick moved in the cauldron working on the next step.
Unnoticed by him due to its small size, was a small y detailed person with white hair and a small smile on the tallest mountain.

Raven hummed as he moved to enter the spot where he was brewing the potion, earlier he had sensed someone enter the room, the wards declared it was the bushy haired girl.
An amusing idea formed in his mind and he laughed silent before his form suddenly shifted, his clothes changing into all black.
Professor Snape was here to punish a dunderhead student for stealing his boomslang.
Which had actually happened to his utter annoyance. The stupid girl and the plump boy had apparently stolen some boomslang from Professor Snape.
Taking a moment to channel his potions Professor, he took a hard deep breath and then slammed the door open and dramatically walked into the room.
"Granger, why am I not surprised to find you here? I expected to see two other dunderheads, but perhaps they have some common sense not to steal." Raven tried to channel the usual drawling the professor used typically.
"P-p-Professor." The girl stuttered and Raven internally rolled his eyes.
"Yes, I am a professor you dim witted girl. Detention tonight in my office after dinner. I expect you there by no later then half past seven. Now leave while I deal with whatever concoction you tried to create." Raven slowly walked forward ensuring his cape billowed dramatically as he did so.
Yet she didn't move.
"Now Ms. Granger, lest I decide to take this up with the headmaster." That had the girl running out the room almost in tears, and once he was sure she was gone, he broke down cackling after he waved his hand and closed the door.
"Stupid girl, Professor Snape would have demanded expulsion, not a detention." Raven laughed joyfully.
With a snort, he waved his hand and checked the potion to make sure she didn't mess anything up, and it seems she tried to stir it more then it already was, stupid girl, you don't touch a potion already in the making and not knowing where it's at.
With a sigh, he vanished the potion and created a completed version of it, this was much easier, and he could just say he hid it away after the professor got rid of it.
He'd play the long game, it would be humorous to see her reaction tomorrow as she tried to explain this.
With a smile, he cleaned the room up and leapt out the window to enjoy a nice night time fly in his crow form.

In some unknown location, some unknown realm, a single blue slit eye on the left side and a golden slit right eye snapped opened and stared at nothing before it slowly shut.
A single emotion present in those eyes.
Amusement.

It's been a little bit huh? A solid two weeks since I last updated this story. This chapter really wasn't all that, but it got some stuff out I wanted.
Also I have managed to do something impressive, I recovered the original version of this story, someone who read this reached out to me and had apparently had a copy of it for offline reading purposes, so I have the original version of the story again.
Thank you person, you know who you are.
So I plan to release that, with a bonus chapter that will play into this story, not sure when I'll get the time to do that, but it'll happen don't worry. Though I'll have to do some editing to fix it up since it was originally a wattpad story, which is what caused me to move to this site fully.
Anyways, ima head out now, got some other writing I wanna get done tonight before I clock out, gotta work today. Adult life sucks.
Bye~
