Chapter 524 - Chapter 524 Do You Think You Can Draw Your Sword Now?

Killua was a rare prodigy within the Zoldyck Family, seen perhaps only once in several centuries, so the Zoldyck Family placed enormous importance on his growth and future.

For this reason, they had even tacitly allowed Illumi to insert needle into Killua's head and then used his Manipulation-Type Ability to tamper with some of his cognition and memories.

"This is all for Killua's own good."

Even the Zoldyck Family showed the same parent-like tendency to impose expectations on their children.

Thus, when Illumi reported the situation back to the family, Silva immediately ordered Milluki and Kalluto to bring Killua home.

That was why the two of them were here.

"Should we go straight in?"

Kalluto glanced at Milluki, with a questioning look in his beautiful violet eyes.

His primary role was to locate Killua using Nen, while Milluki would be responsible for bringing Killua back home.

If possible-

Kalluto wanted to avoid playing the bad guy in front of Killua, as that would make Killua dislike him.

"No way we're just waltzing in there!"

Hearing Kalluto's question, Milluki shook his head firmly and cautioned:

"This is the Hunter Association's territory after all. Let's check things out first before making a move. Better safe than sorry."

"How do we check?"

Kalluto asked expressionlessly.

With a sly grin, Milluki pulled a green mechanical fly from his pocket and said proudly: "We'll use this!"

"?"

Kalluto looked at the green fly in Milluki's palm, and his brows slowly furrowed.

Seeing Kalluto's reluctant, disgusted expression, Milluki remained unbothered and, with a gleeful tone, explained:

"This is a mechanical fly I specially made, and it's equipped with audio capture and real-time monitoring functions. If necessary, it can even act as a gas bomb. With this, checking inside will be a piece of cake."

After saying that, he looked away from the mechanical fly and turned to look at Kurt who was right in front of him, and asked excitedly: "How's that? Cool, right?"

"…"

Kalluto was silent for a moment.

To encourage Milluki to stay motivated about bringing Killua back, Kalluto reluctantly nodded in agreement.

Seeing that Kalluto recognized the value of his mechanical fly, Milluki grinned, clearly thrilled.

"Let's have it check if the final test is over first."

Milluki took out a remote with a screen that controlled the mechanical fly.

After a few simple tinkerings, accompanied by a buzzing sound, the mechanical fly buzzed to life and flew toward the palace-like building ahead.

At this moment-

Inside the building, outside the meeting room-

Raizo's challenge to Moses had captured the attention of everyone present.

Hanzo, who hadn't walked far, stopped and looked back at Raizo, who was exuding a fighting spirit. He immediately guessed the other party's motive for doing this, and a hint of disdain appeared in his gaze.

'A dying samurai spirit...'

'So stupid.'

Hanzo thought to himself.

Everyone's gaze was focused on Moses and Raizo.

Menchi was not far from Moses, and she walked over to help Moses deal with the harassment from Raizo.

However, Moses raised his hand to signal Menchi not to worry about it.

Menchi was stunned for a moment, but still obediently stopped in her tracks.

Raizo noticed Menchi's reaction but paid it no mind, his right hand resting on his sword hilt as he fixed his gaze unwaveringly on Moses.

The third phase had allowed Raizo to truly experience Moses's strength.

'A fake who looked like the examiner?'

'How is that possible!'

Raizo would never easily believe Beans' one-sided words.

Also because of the rule that prevented examiner from causing substantial harm or directly attacking examinees, Raizo hadn't experienced a real battle.

So-

Raizo wanted to find out the true gap between himself and this monstrous examiner, which was why he issued the challenge after the briefing.

That's right-

It is a challenge, not a sparring match!

Raizo still understood this distinction.

Moses looked at Raizo in front of him with calm eyes. He could read Raizo's will and motives from his surging fighting spirit.

"Raizo, I can accept your challenge, but..."

"Hmm?"

Raizo stared at Moses unflinchingly, awaiting his next words.

Moses slowly raised his right hand, pointed his palm at Raizo, and said calmly, "Do you think you can draw your sword?"

Before he finished speaking, a flash of red light flashed from Moses's eyes.

[All Extinct]

A torrent of killing intent bore down on Raizo like a wave.

In an instant-

Raizo's body shook violently and his eyes widened rapidly. He suddenly saw a giant twisted crimson skull jumping out from behind Moses. The empty eye sockets, which were filled with terrifying killing intent, were staring straight at him.

Crushing, suffocating...

Faced with this sudden, overwhelming bloodlust, Raizo felt paralyzed, unable to even remember how to breathe.

He stood frozen, wide-eyed, staring blankly at Moses.

Around them-

Gon looked at Moses, his breathing becoming unconsciously rapid as cold sweat started to trickle down his face.

Even though the oppressive aura wasn't directed at him, Gon's keen senses picked up on the danger completely, triggering a slight stress response he couldn't avoid.

On the other hand, the reactions of Hanzo and others, although not as obvious as Gon's, were not much better. They all looked at Moses, who exuded an intense and terrifying presence, with fear or dullness.

If even those standing on the fringes of [All Extinct] felt this way, then Raizo, who is caught in the storm's very center, must be enduring something far worse.

'Do you think you can draw your sword?'

The stunned and horrified Raizo seemed to hear Moses's words echoing repeatedly in his mind.

'I couldn't… draw it...'

His body had become so heavy that it was unable to respond to any command from the brain.

Before challenging Moses, Raizo would never have thought that the other party could suppress him with his sheer presence alone to the point where he couldn't even draw his sword.

The gulf between them felt endless, a despair that knew no end!

In that moment, Raizo's fighting spirit was crushed underfoot, scattered like ash in the wind, as insignificant as dust.

Sometimes, blindly pursuing the 'truth' will only lead to deeper despair.

Moses gradually withdrew the oppressive killing intent of [All Extinct].

But at this moment, even without the suppression from All Extinct, Raizo was unable to draw his sword in front of Moses.

Moses looked at Raizo, who had lost all his fighting spirit, and without saying anything else, he walked straight past Raizo and glanced at Netero, who was watching the fun not far away.

'The Hunter Exam is over. Now it's our turn.'

This was the meaning conveyed in the look he gave Netero.

Netero understood instantly, grinned, and nodded slightly at Moses.
