On the order of the Lord Marshall, the armed forces of Ravenfell—all of whom were Mana Liquefaction Magi—quickly entered through the secret passageway that led to the underground prison.
A few minutes later, one of them emerged from the door and walked toward Sabrina Benton with a grave look on his face. The man had an expression of disbelief, anger, and pity.
"My Lady," he began, trying to find the right words to speak. "There are over a hundred women inside, all of them imprisoned behind bars. Although they seem to be physically healthy, I can't say the same for their state of mind…"
The man paused for a moment before adding with slight unease, "It would appear that they have been under the effects of mind-numbing drugs for extended periods of time."
Sabrina turned her gaze toward Daneli and stated, "It would appear that your claims were not false, young elf."
"I dare not lie to the Lord Marshall," Daneli spoke with a slight bow, pressing his hand on his chest.
