- Felix -
Milim and I both laughed as we released the energy we had been gathering towards each other
" " Drago Nova! " " We both yelled.
"Master, there is a very high likelihood that when the two beams of Stardust collide, the resulting explosion will completely burst through all the Barriers placed and destroy this dimension, I recommend leaving."
'Yeah that's about what I expected, good thing I'm prepared.'
I immediately teleported to Milim who looked at me in surprise, she quickly reacted and slashed out towards me, expecting some kind of attack.
"Not now Milim!" Milim stopped and allowed me to grab her.
I snapped my fingers and created a portal under Raiden, Middray, and Frey before using Blue to draw them through the portal.
Once that was done just as our two Drago Novas collided I teleported myself and Milim back to the Cardinal World, from the corner of my eyes I saw the supernova that our beam clash had become before vanishing, only to see the dimension flooded by the mysterious energy that inhabited the space between dimensions.
Well… rest in peace random dimension.
"Woah! That was fun Felix!" Milim yelled as she appeared in front of me, already out of her combat mode, with Satanael disabled and her Aura back under perfect control.
We appeared right where we left, in Milim's office.
"As expected of you Master." Raiden stated.
Middray was looking at me with approval in his eyes. "It seems that I have not been training enough!" He muttered to himself.
I shot him a thumbs up. "Yeah, go plus ultra!"
Middray tilted his head. "Plus ultra?"
Right, he wouldn't get that reference, stupid uncultured world.
The fandom of My Hero Academia may have been shit, but the series itself was alright, though I heard it got worse later on.
"Ah, it's nothing, just a saying from my previous world, one that basically means to push further beyond your limits."
Middray nodded. "Plus ultra? I like this saying, yes, I must go plus ultra!" Middray said as he raised one of his clenched fists into the air.
Woah, he just emanated some All Might energy, truly Middray is a chad.
Milim clapped. "Awesome! I want to go plus ultra too!"
Middray laughed. "That is the spirit, Lady Milim! We are never at our limits until we believe we are at our limits! Even you can grow further, I am sure of it!"
A stronger Milim makes me shiver, even current Milim is someone that I wouldn't be sure about taking on when she's serious.
"Do not worry, with my assistance no foe is unbeatable!"
'And people call me arrogant.'
"It is not arrogance if it is true, it is confidence."
'Sure then, I'll be counting on you the day I face a foe I have no chance of beating.'
I noticed that Frey was looking at me cautiously. "Very impressive showing Felix." She stated in a clipped tone.
I didn't really blame Frey for her coldness at this moment, we weren't super close to begin with and she just had her mind blown with how strong some people in this world are.
If I was her, I'd be panicking too.
I watched as Yamato faded into motes of light and appeared back in my Infinity Space before dissipating my armor as well.
I looked at my right arm, where a simple black bracelet was now adorned, before looking back to Milim.
"Yeah, I had fun too, I got to test out some moves I wouldn't use on others."
I got to have fun with a handful of the Ultimate Skills I have data on, I used Faust's Probability Manipulation, Metatron's nigh-absolute Spiritron control, my own Ouroboros and Satanael, I also used some of Asmodeus' lifeforce sucking abilities in between by coating Yamato in Asmodeus' energy.
Even the Magic I used was fairly interesting to finally put into practice, I couldn't just summon a ton of meteors anywhere after all.
I thought back to Metatron, perhaps one of my Skills with the most potential.
I had literally fired off two hundred amped-up beams of Disintegration in less than 3 seconds which was practically a sure-kill technique, Milim was just abnormal. Metatron would literally sink continents, continents in the Cardinal World which was practically a star level feat due to just how durable the planet was.
Leon could very likely completely break through my Multi-Dimensional Barrier, though I don't think he has the precision and control needed to do that with Metatron, the only reason I am able to control the Skill so perfectly is due to all the data Othinus has which has basically optimized the Skill that I use through Brahma. Metatron on its own is very very difficult to control very precisely, so if you use it the user has to expect massive amounts of destruction as collateral.
Metatron's Energy optimization was also pretty huge, theoretically it should even be possible to optimize your Energy so much that your EP basically goes up as you are using far less than what you should be, therefore conserving more Energy than others.
So, in short, Metatron goes brrr.
"That is an apt way to put it."
If even my super smart Manas agrees then I can only be right.
Still, Leon had a hell of a lot of firepower at his disposal, he was someone to watch out for.
But at least I got to learn a lot about my own combat power and things I needed to improve on. Taking part in a fight far longer than my usual battles was a learning experience, even if I had an absurd amount of stamina it was still something I needed to get used to.
"I am glad for your safe return Lady Milim, Lord Felix." Arc interrupted.
I turned towards Milim's desk where Arc was still hard at work, the pile of paperwork was all practically finished since I hadn't sped up time in the dimension Milim and I fought in.
"Oh, hi, Arc!" Milim waved. She looked at the now reduced stack of paperwork. "You're a real saint, Arc!" Milim cried out in relief.
Frey sighed. "There is more work to be done, Milim."
Milim turned to Frey with a heartbroken look. "B-but!"
Frey rolled her eyes. "I suppose you can have the day off. Just how long have we been gone, Arc?"
"Just under a day." Arc responded.
Frey nodded. "I see."
I thought we'd be gone longer, but then again Milim and I had been fighting for almost a day nonstop, I've never fought for such a long period of time before.
Hinata should be waking up soon, then, right?
"She should wake up within the next 12 hours."
'Got it.'
I'll have to be there when she wakes up, I'm curious what sort of effects her evolution had on her.
Maybe I'll drag her to a spar? She should definitely get a handle on her power as soon as possible, not to mention I'm sure she'll be a little cocky with her evolution, I'll have to beat that out of her.
"...Are you not the epitome of cockyness?"
'Yeah, but I'm different, I have you to cover my ass in case I'm being an idiot. Plus, didn't you just say it yourself? It is not arrogance if it is true, it is confidence.'
Hinata won't have the privilege of having Othinus watching her back. If she messes up, it can be fatal.
"I see, that is an acceptable response."
Even a Manas can't refute me.
Hinata should have grown a decent bit more powerful with her evolution, it would be bad if she's leaking her Aura all over the place due to not being used to containing that much power in her body, so I'll get her on that immediately.
I'm actually kind of excited to see how much she's grown with her evolution. She should be beyond even Arcueid, Megumin, and Lalatina, at least EP-wise, and perhaps even combat-wise now. Enough raw power is sometimes enough to get the upper hand on someone with masterful technique, the combination of raw power and technique is an even more deadly combination.
But I'm sure that won't be for long, I already have a good method to evolve my subordinates to the next tier, so that should be more than enough to even the playing fields.
As for Hinata, I'm honestly pretty damn proud of her. She's achieved what practically none have, she's become a Divine Human.
The only people I can think of who are Divine Humans are Rudra, the first True Hero, Chloe, and maybe Leon was also one before he became a Demonoid, he has Divinity now as a Demonoid so he was probably a Divine Human beforehand.
I noticed Frey was clenching her fists. She turned to me, "While Milim is taking her break, can I leave it to you to take care of her?"
Milim pouted. "Hey! I don't need anyone to take care of me!"
I rolled my eyes. "Sure, sure, I'm fine with having some more fun with Milim."
It's nice to hang out with someone as unrestrained as Milim.
"Yipee! Let's go have some fun then, Felix!" Milim chanted.
"Yea,h we'll leave soon."
Milim nodded.
Frey turned to Middray. "Would you be open to beginning our training immediately? I have become more… enlightened."
Ah, it seems like Frey got a fire lit under her ass, now she wants to get stronger.
Woo! Training arc!
A wild grin appeared on Middray's face.
"Of course!" Middray then looked at Raiden. "Did you wish to join us, lass?"
Raiden was about to refuse, but I interrupted her. "Go ahea,d Raiden, I'll be fine for a couple of hours. Think of it as you getting stronger to better serve me."
I always had to use some roundabout way to get Raiden to have fun, I know she's been enjoying training with Middray, everyone needs a good mentor figure.
Raiden bowed. "Very well, if that is what you desire, Master."
"It is what I desire. I'll leave you guys to your training then. Fly back to Azeroth on your own since I may take a little while."
Raiden nodded.
I placed a hand on Milim's shoulder and transported us away.
We appeared in the main plaza of Tempest, more specifically, the main plaza of the tourist district where there are tons of attractions.
"I've already placed illusions over us so that no one bothers us." I told Milim.
Milim nodded. "Let's go then!" She yelled as she dragged me along.
"Do you even know where you're going?"
Milim froze for a moment before continuing to pull me along. "Nope!"
I sighed. "Of course."
- Raiden -
She squeezed down on the hilt of her Tachi, Lightning flickering into and out of existence around her as she stared her opponent down.
Middray had first started this training session by making her go through the various forms he had taught her for the Drago Fist martial style that Lady Milim had created.
She did not primarily use martial arts, but even she could not deny the sheer utility this martial style had, she could also transcribe what she learned from the Drago Fist style into her swordsmanship somewhat.
The essence of the Drago Fist martial arts is that the martial artist takes in the energy of the planet and channels it through their body, one needs to be very careful when doing this as too much of the planet's energy can be very harmful, but all in all it was a wonderful practice in Raiden's humble opinion.
It allowed one to fight somewhat above their weight class if they were true masters of Drago Fist.
While she was practicing her stances, Middray had gone to Frey and began assisting her, Frey was not suited to Drago Fist due to her fighting style so Middray settled for helping Frey with her own style.
Frey liked to maintain the aerial advantage and then attack with precision and grace before backing away, she had a far more cautious fighting style.
"Lady Milim truly created a wonderful art." She found herself voicing out as she felt the planet's energy flow through her in preparation for the battle she would soon have.
Middray nodded along from the side. "Indeed! The usefulness of Drago Fist cannot be put into words, Lady Milim's power and wisdom is truly unmatched!"
Raiden's mind flashed back to one time when Milim was stuffing her face with some cake she had made. "Right… her wisdom is unmatched." She responded with a stiff smile.
Frey sighed and gave her a pitying look.
Middray clapped his hands loudly. "Now, I wish for both of you to fight each other, go all out but do try not to grievously wound each other. I would like to see how much you have progressed Raiden, and I would like to see exactly where Frey is at."
Both she and Frey nodded with determined looks. She would not lose to the Harpy Queen, all of her base stats were above Frey's, the only thing she needed to worry about was whatever Unique Skill Frey had since she did not doubt that a Demon Lord Seed like Frey at minimum had a Unique Skill.
"Start in 3, 2, 1, go!"
Her Draconic wings fluttered behind her as she sent a lightning bolt directly at Frey. Much to her surprise, Frey managed to flap her wings fast enough to avoid the lightning bolt causing it to crash into the mountain behind her, removing the peak from the mountain.
Middray had taken them somewhere isolated in Lady Milim's territory to fight so there would be no casualties and so they could fight freely without having to worry about the damage they caused.
Frey whipped around and with a wave of her hand sent multiple Wind Blades towards her. Raiden furrowed her eyebrows as she shot forwards avoiding the Wind Blades entirely.
Once she was close enough she felt Frey try to make use of her Extra Skill: Magic Jamming which was successful to a certain extent. At most some of her attacks would be slightly weakened since Frey simply was not powerful enough to truly prevent her from making use of her magicules.
In the blink of an eye Raiden appeared in front of Frey, she punched out with her off hand, not wanting to use her Tachi just yet, her Fighting Spirit clad fist met Frey's midsection sending Frey crashing into the very same mountain she had just beheaded.
She could easily end this fight now, but Sir Middray wished to see how much progress she had made, and he also wished to see what Frey's capabilities are, ending the fight early would be detrimental to that goal so Raiden held herself back from blitzing forward and hitting Frey with a barrage of attacks Frey could not track.
She descended down to the earth before Frey burst out of the mountain, annoyance clouding her visage.
She needed to be directly touching the earth to properly channel the energy of the planet, that meant she could not be flying if she wished to properly make use of Drago Fist and she had not yet discovered a method to channel the power of the planet while in the air since she was drawing on the power of the leylines, direct contact with the planet was practically necessary.
She began pulling in some energy from the leylines while making sure not to overwhelm herself.
Frey boomed forwards as Raiden channeled the energy towards her Tachi, once Frey was close enough she slashed downwards sending an arc of raw power that was capable of harming those above her own weight class.
The speed of the arc of energy was almost too fast for Frey to react to.
Frey's eyes widened as she quickly dove out of the way, but she didn't avoid her attack entirely as the arc grazed Frey's leg, cutting a portion of it off.
"Gah!" Frey screamed in pain even as the wound slowly regenerated from Frey's Self-Regeneration.
Raiden winced slightly, but the wound itself wasn't deep, and it wasn't like she chopped of Frey's entire leg.
Frey quickly got a hold of herself, she flew towards Raiden at speeds far faster than previously. Once Frey was above her she dove down, her claws glimmering in Aura as she swiped for her face.
Raiden casually raised her now scaled arm to block Frey's claws, the moment Frey's claws striked her scales a small boom resonated off of them as sparks appeared from the clash of scales and claws.
Frey twisted herself above her as she dove down for another attack seeing that her initial attack failed, Raiden once again blocked Frey's clawed attack with her scales, but her instincts warned her of incoming danger, unfortunately Frey's claws had already reached her and she was unable to adjust herself in time as she felt energy begin to rampage through her.
She grit her teeth in pain as Pain Resistance wasn't enough to completely negate the pain.
She fought off the rampaging Aura inside of her, the energy felt very familiar, she could feel some of the energy of the leylines mixed with Fighting Spirit.
Raiden appeared a distance away from Frey in a burst of lightning as she looked at her foe warily.
It seems she had underestimated Frey significantly if Frey was truly able to wound her as she did.
She looked down to her damaged scales and her bloodied skin that was rapidly healing.
She had been able to quickly fight off the foreign but familiar power that was coursing through her, but some damage had already been done.
Thankfully Frey either couldn't or didn't use the full brunt of the original attack she sent.
Did Frey have some sort of ability to reflect attacks? She would have to take that into account when fighting her from here on out, if any of her attacks could be turned back on her then she would be far more limited in the actions she could take.
She activated Thought Acceleration and began analyzing everything that happened with her Unique Skill: Thunder, her Master had added some sub-skills that increased her own analytical ability, something that was coming in handy now.
Frey was no True Demon Lord, so she did not have much raw power, even Raiden was no True Demon Lord however she had the benefit of being named by her Master which granted her a significant boost in power, and the Gifting from her Master's own Harvest Festival further increased her strength.
Frey's combat style centered around speed and decisive strikes, she had Frey beaten when it came to speed, and yet Frey had still managed to harm her.
She thought back to the amount of energy she had felt invade her body when Frey's claws managed to reach her, it was a fairly small portion when compared to how much energy Raiden had imbued within her attack, but she also recalled that Frey did not manage to completely avoid her attack.
Perhaps Frey was able to reflect however much damage she was hit with? Or else Raiden could think of no other reason why Frey did not use more power, enough to at least knock her unconscious.
Now that she had a theory as to how Frey's power worked she felt more confident, it did not matter if her theory was correct or not, she would eventually get the answer as she was exposed to Frey's Skill more and more.
She would make sure to limit her output so that Frey could not completely eliminate her from this spar by reflecting a powerful attack.
Raiden readied her Tachi and gave Frey an acknowledging nod, Fighting Spirit and Dragon Ki blazed around her Tachi before lightning began to flicker in and out of existence around her.
Raiden dashed forwards, breaking the sound barrier multiple times over as lightning trailed behind her. Frey met her in the middle at a somewhat slower speed.
"Guh!" Frey cried out in pain as lightning began to course through her body, yet she pushed through, releasing her own Fighting Spirit to the max in a futile attempt to contest against her own power.
Raiden began turning herself into lightning, taking on similar properties to a Spiritual Lifeform enhancing her power by multiple magnitudes, however doing so for long periods of time was impossible due to the sheer amount of energy needed to keep this state active.
Yet the power boost made it worth it, in this state even Arcueid, Megumin, and Lalatina would fight against her far more carefully.
She began to flicker in and out of existence around Frey, moving at speeds Frey could not possibly follow.
This fight was in her favor now, and she would no longer be going easy.
–
She looked down at her fallen foe as she allowed her Tachi to dissipate into nothingness, finding its home inside of her.
She heard clapping. "Well done you two!" Sir Middray praised.
Frey groaned as she sat up. "Well done? I couldn't do anything after Raiden got serious." Frey responded bitterly.
Sir Middray nodded. "That may be true, but now you know your limits, you can only grow stronger from here, you have already taken the first step by acknowledging your weakness."
Frey's lips twitched at Sir Middray's comments but she nodded nonetheless.
"Now come, let us begin our training!" Both she and Frey nodded.
- Felix -
Milim and I continued to wander through the entertainment district, doing whatever struck our fancy.
We had already been here for a few hours, I'm sure Rimuru had sensed us but he seemed to be busy since he hadn't sent anyone to get us for anything.
Oh well, I'm not complaining.
I sensed that Leon was still here so Rimuru was probably still busy dealing with him.
All of a sudden Milim froze, she tugged on my sleeve and looked at me with a face filled with panic, I hadn't seen her look like that ever before.
"F-Felix! It's hatching! It's gonna hatch!"
It was fairly easy to figure out what exactly Milim was talking about, there was only a single egg that Milim would panic over.
A beautiful silver egg shimmered in the light, I could feel energy radiating off of it in flickers signaling the birth of a new Monster.
"Got it, let me take us to somewhere safe." A moment later the both of us appeared on an empty floor of The Dungeon which had still yet to be completely set up.
Rimuru and Ramiris were seriously slacking on that, but then again they didn't have nearly as many Monsters that were strong enough to play as "Bosses", in the worst case I'm sure they can use Daemons as Bosses.
Milim and I both watched with bated breaths as the egg finally hatched.
"Gyuuiii!" A tiny chibi dragon roared as it broke out from the egg.
Its length was around fifty centimeters, the being that was once the Chaos Dragon is now this chibi Dragon, how amusing.
"Gaia?" Milim voiced out.
Gaia's head snapped to Milim. "Gyuu, Gyuu!"
Gaia flew into Milim's arms as the two hugged.
Look at that, there are happy endings.
My analysis of Gaia came up pretty weird, Gaia's nature was different from every other Dragon I've analyzed, different from even the True Dragons so it's safe to say Gaia is not a True Dragon, though that was obvious anyway since Gaia is nowhere near powerful enough to be a True Dragon.
It seems Gaia is basically a unique Monster, a being that was born through chance and is different to others of their same species.
Gaia was nowhere near as powerful as the Chaos Dragon was, they are practically different entities so that does make sense.
After a few minutes Milim ran up to me and hugged me tightly. "Thank you, Felix!"
Even Gaia flew behind my head and hugged me. "No problem Milim, what are best friends for?"
Milim nodded. "Umu! Best friends for life!"
"Gyuu, Gyuu!" Gaia agreed.
It's weird that I can understand the chibi Dragon.
"Come on Felix, let's have some fun! This is Gaia's birth, we have to celebrate it!"
I nodded. "Sure, what do you want to do?"
Milim smirked. "Let's go have fun in The Dungeon! Gaia needs to learn how to hunt and stuff, Dragons need to know at least that much!"
"Hah, I'm sure Rimuru won't be happy if we kill all the Monsters so let's just be careful."
Milim nodded as she grabbed Gaia. "Onwards!"
I rolled my eyes.
I guess I'll be power-leveling a Dragon today.
–
"Good job Gaia!" Milim complimented as the chibi Dragon finished off an A Ranked Greater Daemon.
It seems like Rimuru did in fact introduce some Daemons into The Dungeon, once I expanded my senses I could sense a couple Arch Daemons around acting as Floor Bosses as well, however towards the lower end of The Dungeon there were still some empty Floors that Rimuru had yet to fill up.
"Gyuuuu!" Gaia roared in victory, though it came out more as a squeak of victory.
Even though Gaia no longer had the power of the Chaos Dragon, that didn't mean Gaia had nothing, Gaia could of course fly which was useful, but along with that it seems Gaia had a natural inclination towards Gravity Manipulation and had made quick work of various enemies with it.
Of course, as a Drago,n it even had a breath attack which was very reminiscent of the Chaos Dragon's own breath attack.
Chaotic Breath was what I called Gaia's breath attack. It is a highly concentrated miasma with a curse that corroded any substance it touched. Its effect was similar to the Corrosion of Beelzebuth, Lord of Gluttony, and it is damn powerful too, not at the Chaos Dragon's level, but even A Ranked Monsters were easily erased by this breath attack,
Along with that, Gaia had an affinity with Eart,h which is likely what gave Gaia an affinity over Gravity since the two elements are somewhat related.
Gaia was a fearsome foe once it had time to grow, Gaia had intelligence now, after all.
Gaia had some mad combat instincts that, in combination with abilities like Chaotic Breath and the super-gravitational waves Gaia was throwing around, I'm sure Gaia will grow into someone powerful.
I swiped my hand out towards the last Daemon of the group, slicing it to pieces with Dismantle.
I clapped my hands. "Alright, we should leave now, we've already lowered the concentration of Monsters in The Dungeon enough."
Thankfully the Daemons and intelligent Monsters would all respawn with Ramiris' help, so they'd be back soon enough, but I didn't want to make things too easy, that would be bad for Rimuru's business!
Milim nodded with a pout. "Fine." Gaia chirped and flew around Milim's head.
Milim nodded. "Okay! Hey Felix, Gaia wants to see my territory, so let's go back to the City of the Forgotten Dragon."
I shook my head. "There's someone I'm waiting for here in Tempest, but I'll send you two back."
Milim pouted. "Fine, but you owe me candy for cutting this bestie day short!"
I rolled my eyes. "Sure, sure."
I snapped my fingers, teleporting both Milim and Gaia back to Milim's territory.
Milim herself is more than capable of teleporting, but she dislikes doing so due to all the calculations needed.
I don't need to do any calculations since Othinus has me covered on that front.
Othinus for the win!
"Hehe."
I had placed some Barriers around Hinata just in case she woke up and immediately lost control of her Aura. Through those very same Barriers I could tell that she was not awake just yet.
I guess I'll just wander around then.
"Lord Felix." I sighed as I turned around.
"Hello Souei, did Rimuru need something?"
Souei nodded. "I have been ordered to request your presence at whatever time is convenient for you."
Well, it seems I've just found something to do.
"I'll go now. I have nothing else to do."
Souei nodded. I felt the pull of his Shadow Motion and allowed it to drag me in. We were in the shadow realm for a moment before appearing inside the conference room in the Chancellor's building.
I raised a brow as I looked around the table, Rimuru looked dead inside, Chloe was staring at Rimuru with doe eyes, and Leon was trying and failing miserably to get Chloe's attention.
"It seems you guys have been having a fun time."
Rimuru groaned. "Don't even start. We took a break and reconvened and we still ended up like this."
I nodded and took a seat on the table. Chloe waved to me. "Hi Felix-nii!"
I waved back. "Hello Chloe."
Leon glared in my direction. "Stop that."
I tilted my head. "Stop what?"
"Don't talk to her."
I rolled my eyes. "Ugh, you have the worst tendencies of a yandere, get a life, loser."
Some yanderes are good, but the ones that don't want you to speak with anyone other than them are troublesome.
"G-get a life?!" Leon exclaimed.
I nodded. "Exactly, seek character development."
"Pfft. I haven't heard that one before." Rimuru laughed.
Chloe giggled. "Seek character development, saying that is just like you Felix-nii."
Leon looked like he took a critical hit from Chloe's giggles.
"So what have you guys been talking about?" I asked as I lounged back in my seat.
"Well, we explained everything about Chronoa and her situation."
I raised a brow. "Even the whole time stuff?"
Rimuru nodded. "Even the time loops."
I shrugged my shoulders. "Well, it seems Leon seems to be closely related to Chrono,a so it's up to you."
Rimuru nodded. "Thanks for trusting me, Felix, now the reason I wanted to talk to you is that in most of the previous timelines, Chronoa is killed."
I nodded. "She dies to Guy."
Rimuru nodded. "Right. Leon said that was most likely because she was a threat to the safety of the world, so Guy fulfilled his duties as the Mediator."
I looked at Leon with a raised brow. "I'm guessing he found out about that whole Mediator business from you?"
Leon nodded. "Indeed, I had learned of Guy's role in this world after he had told me after a fight of ours, something about saying he'd kill me if I decided to let loose."
I shrugged my shoulders. "I see, I wasn't sure if Guy wanted that being known so I never shared, but you got the jist right, Rimuru?"
Rimuru nodded. "Yeah, I understood that Guy had to protect the world for some reason so it doesn't matter."
I nodded. "So, what is it you want me to do again?"
"Ah right, I was wondering if you could maybe speak to Guy about everything that has happened and will happen soon? Just so that we make sure he doesn't interfere and see Chloe as a threat to the world for whatever reason." Rimuru requested.
I tilted my head and nodded. "Yeah, I guess I can go see him, I've been meaning to ask him for something too." I looked at Leon for a moment before continuing, I guess I can trust him. "I'll also tell him to stay out of the attack on Ruberious, it's something that will catch his attention since Ruberious is a stabilizing factor for all of the Western Nations, he'd rather nothing disturb the relative order present, but I'm sure I can convince him to leave it to me."
No matter what there will be chaos after the Holy Kingdom is attacked, Ruberious has a presence in every single Kingdom in the Western Nations in the form of their churches, Luminous was widely worshiped by practically all in the West, an attack on her domain will cause many Kingdoms to be upset, while others will attempt to take advantage of the opportunity to gain some more status.
Rimuru sighed in relief. "That would be great, thanks, Felix."
"What attack on Ruberious?" Leon questioned with a frown.
I waved him off. "It's nothing to worry about, just some of Luminous' subordinates getting a big head."
Speaking of Luminous, I should visit her sometime soon, I'm not the pump-and-dump kind of guy, and while it hasn't even been a week since our relationship advanced it is still probably a good idea to visit her.
Umu, I'll do that later.
Leon nodded. "I see." I could tell he wanted to know more, but he was politically inclined enough to know when to fuck off.
It seems he doesn't rule an entire continent for nothing.
"So when is your meeting to join the Council of the West?" I asked Rimuru.
It's been a little while since he was sent the invitation.
"Oh that? That's in a few weeks." Rimuru responded nonchalantly.
I frowned. "That's in quite some time." I said not quite hiding my suspicion.
There is a very high chance that Granbell still retained some control over the Council, it wouldn't be crazy to think he scheduled Rimuru's meeting to be when he plans his attack so that we have fewer resources to call on, in fact something like that is only normal.
Rimuru nodded. "Yeah, it is a bit suspicious."
I sighed. "We can talk more about that later." I said while motioning to Leon.
Leon looked at me with a frown. "I am still here, you know?"
I ignored the wannabe yandere as Rimuru nodded. "Yeah, now that I think about it I do have a bad feeling about it all."
Rimuru sighed. "Why can these things never be easy?"
I shrugged my shoulders. "Because Humans are idiots?"
"H-Hey! That's not completely true!" Rimuru protested.
"No, it is." Chloe rebuked.
Leon nodded. "Indeed, Humanity can be quite foolish."
Rimuru looked at the two speechless, what could he say to defend humans against a True Hero and a former True Hero, two beings that once protected Humanity themselves.
Rimuru shook his head before turning back to me. "Fine then. Is Hinata awake yet? Those Barriers of yours are blocking me from sensing inside your house."
I shook my head. "Not yet, but she should be soon, I'll probably go and check on her after this."
Rimuru nodded. "I see. A Divine Human, huh?"
"Hinata-nee is evolving?!" Chloe exclaimed.
Ah, right, she wouldn't know about that.
"I thought she was just laying low for now or something!" Chloe added.
I nodded to Chloe. "After our spar, Hinata seemed to have reached enlightenment and began developing Divinity, so she should be a Divine Human when she wakes up."
Chloe nodded excitedly. "I see! I'll need to spar with her, I wonder how strong she is now!"
I shrugged my shoulders. "Who knows, but I don't think you should spar with her until you have full control over your power, Chloe."
Chloe has a lot of Energy to work with. She may accidentally do something she didn't mean to do if she doesn't have full control over her power.
There is a reason I want Hinata to gain control over her power before anything else, without control, one is just a brute, that's what Veldora was before meeting Rimuru, all power, no control, and look where that got him, sealed in a cave for a very long time.
I do wonder how strong Hinata will be exactly. I'm sure her EP will surpass even Megumin's, my subordinate with the greatest EP. I also don't know how Othinus had helped Hinata out since I wanted to keep it as a surprise for myself.
I wonder if Hinata got an Ultimate Skill out of all this? That would make things a lot more interesting.
Then I also had an idea about how to get Hinata another Hero's Egg, but it's probably best if she gets used to her current power before that, as I have a feeling her Hero's Egg will hatch the moment she acquires it, she did go through a training arc in the past and had some character development.
"The Right Hand of God has gained Divinity hmm?" Leon muttered. "It seems Luminous' side will have become more powerful then." Leon said.
Heh, I wonder what he'd think if he knew Luminous had an Ultimate Skill now on top of that.
Though between Luminous and Leon, if both were going all out and neither had the home field advantage I'd still bet on Leon, his Metatron just gave him so much raw power, to the point that he could incinerate a True Dragon, even without much control.
I'm sure Luminous could work her way up to the same level, but her Skill did not specialize in raw destruction, Asmodeus was best used with finesse. Until Luminous managed to truly master it and come up with some unique ways to make use of it, Leon would firmly be stronger.
I sat up from my seat. "Alright you guys have fun with whatever it is you're doing. I'm going to go check on Hinata."
Both Rimuru and Chloe nodded while Leon just gave me a neutral stare.
I don't think he likes me, I wonder why?
"Perhaps it is because of your earlier comments?" Othinus said with exasperation.
'I just told him to seek character development and to get a life, that's some of the most basic shit talk I've ever heard, if Leon was offended by that he would not survive a day in a Call of Duty lobby.'
"Alright, see ya." I waved, moments later I appeared in my residence in Tempest.
The Barriers were still up, and Hinata was still in her evolutionary state.
I entered the room I had put Hinata to rest in and began observing her body. It was pretty interesting to see how her body was changing, Hinata was already a Spiritual Lifeform so it wasn't like her body was completely remaking itself to be made of energy, but the quality of her Energy was increasing, her soul was growing stronger, she was transforming into something else entirely, similar yet different to a Spiritual Lifeform.
My own ascendence to Divinity was pretty different from Hinata's, I seemingly fulfilled whatever mysterious conditions there are to ascend to Divinity during my own Harvest Festival, as did Rimuru.
'Hinata should be waking up very soon right?'
"Yes."
Hehe, why don't I tease her a bit then.
- Hinata Sakaguchi -
She felt herself come back into awareness. She sighed in pleasure as a pleasant feeling enveloped her body.
Her head seemed to be lying on something as it was elevated slightly above her body.
Her eyes fluttered open, the first thing she saw was Felix's smirking face above her.
Was he giving her a lap pillow?
"Ah, is this a dream?" She mumbled. She was still feeling somewhat out of it.
Felix looked at her in amusement. "A dream? Are you dreaming about me now, Hinata?" Felix teased as his fingers stroked her head as if she was a child (She loved it).
Her eyes widened as she jumped up, rising up off of Felix's lap (No matter how much she wanted to stay there). All her memories had come back to her. "Felix?!"
"Aww, you were being so cute, now you're back to your old stern self." Felix mock sighed.
She was about to argue with Felix before he interrupted her. "Now before you get your panties in a twist you should get your Aura under control, if it weren't for these Barriers and my own interference you would have already torn my poor house apart."
Her eyes widened as she focused on her power, she hadn't even noticed that she was leaking some of her Aura, she blamed Felix's lap pillow for her oversight.
She closed her eyes and began drawing her Aura back inside of her, however unlike usual, she was having a somewhat difficult time coaxing her Aura inside of her.
She could feel the potency and power of her Aura had increased dramatically, a simple Magic Bullet imbued with her Divinity could erase a Saint if used at the right moment, her power had undergone a qualitative change, similar to when she became a Saint from an Enlightened.
This was the kind of power Felix had for who knows how long? It was no wonder he was able to brush her off so easily, everything about her was just… better.
"Is it me, or did your breasts get bigger?" Felix asked curiously.
Her lips twitched as she ignored Felix. Her breasts did not grow bigger at all, no they did not, they definitely didn't seem to be bigger due to her thinking that was what Felix preferred, that would be insane.
"It seems that you'll need to practice controlling your newfound power a bit."
She opened her eyes and nodded. She was able to get her Aura under control but it required more effort than she was happy with, and even now some of her Aura was still leaking out of her.
Being unable to fully control her power would likely cause issues later down the line.
Felix smirked at her. "Well, why don't we see how much you've improved?"
She could feel her lips curl up. She'd like to see how she matched up to Felix now, especially with the new power she could feel lying within her, waiting for her to call upon it.
Felix offered his hand to her. "Let's go then."
She took his hand, and they vanished.
