Chapter 269 - Chapter 269: The Army Approaches Sunagakure

Standing on top of the massive cube, there was no sign of Otsutsuki Isshiki in the air.

Is that guy's ocular technique? Does it increase the size of objects? Or can it both enlarge and shrink things?

Can it only be applied to objects, or can it also work on living beings?

How interesting…

The feeling of losing the advantage of information, and now everything depends on guessing.

It gave Raijin a rare sense of pleasure.

Because of this, Raijin became even more determined to start this war.

Engage him, fight more, and try to make him reveal more information, until finally, take him down.

"You can't even do this right."

Suisei appeared next to Raijin, holding a towel and wiping the blood off her long sword.

The blade was scorching hot, making the blood still bubble on the surface.

As the towel wiped, a wisp of smoke rose.

Although there were still many enemies left to defeat, Suisei, for the time being, preferred to come over and mock her foolish teammate.

There was no way they could win in a fight.

So, she had to find another way to take satisfaction.

Show off that damn sense of superiority from being born a few years earlier.

"How much can you do?"

Raijin glanced at Suisei with disdain.

The next moment, he raised his right hand slightly, and a large amount of lightning appeared out of nowhere.

Countless Uchiha clansmen, who were fighting fiercely, could only watch as their opponent, who had been lively and full of tricks just moments ago, was instantly turned into piles of charred remains.

Tch, only Raijin-sama could do that...

With little interest, Raijin sheathed his sword, and one by one, the Uchiha clansmen who trained in Senjutsu in Konohagakure, started to lower their heads and clean up the battlefield.

Training in Senjutsu did make them feel stronger.

But without the right opponent to sharpen their skills, their swords would inevitably dull.

But when the boss takes action, who would dare to say anything?

"Hurry up! Hurry up!"

Uchiha Suisei yelled, walking around the crowd with her hands behind her back.

On the side of the Land of Rivers.

The elite forces from Konohagakure, led by Tsunade, were gathered in a temporary command center where Satoshi was sipping tea.

Sunagakure hadn't yet made a move against Konohagakure, so everything here was relatively calm.

Tsunade and the others stayed here mainly to keep an eye on Sunagakure.

They aimed to create the pressure that if Sunagakure dared to support Iwagakure, Konohagakure would directly launch an attack on Sunagakure.

This was to provide Raijin with a relatively stable battlefield.

"It should have been unified long ago."

Orochimaru sipped his tea and said, sounding displeased.

He was still a little unhappy about being pulled out of the lab for this mission.

"Yeah, this time it will be unified. If it's not unified, we'll be unified instead."

Tsunade nodded, propping up her chin with one hand and speaking slowly.

While the main battlefield was with Uchiha Raijin, the true outcome of the war would depend on Sunagakure.

No one knew if Otsutsuki Isshiki would fall alongside Sunagakure.

But Sunagakure and Iwagakure could no longer remain in this ninja world.

Once they attacked Konohagakure.

"Don't scare me. If Konohagakure really gets unified, I'll surrender."

Orochimaru raised an eyebrow and said to Tsunade, seemingly serious.

"Don't worry, you'll definitely die before me."

Tsunade raised an eyebrow upon hearing this and replied seriously.

"Is that why you're the Hokage?"

Orochimaru pursed his lips and chuckled lightly.

"What's wrong with being Hokage?"

Just then, a voice sounded, and Raijin appeared inside the tent.

"Yo, back already? That was quick."

Orochimaru looked at Raijin, his eyes flickering with a hint of surprise.

Orochimaru knew Raijin would come quickly, but he didn't expect it to be this fast.

It hadn't even been two hours since Raijin clashed with Iwagakure, right?

"Raijin, he said you're fast."

Jiraiya quickly chimed in.

"Tch, only you know everything, huh?"

Raijin's face darkened, and he shot a glare at Jiraiya.

"Those who are fast always think everyone else is fast."

Orochimaru raised an eyebrow upon hearing this and glanced at Jiraiya. A dangerous light flickered in his narrow eyes.

Jiraiya instinctively shrank his neck. Though Jiraiya had been living a carefree life with his disciples over the years,

when he returned to this small group of four, he quickly adjusted himself, realizing he was the weakest one.

"I've never heard of Jiraiya having someone he likes?"

Raijin was stunned upon hearing this and asked Orochimaru.

"Isn't he always out on missions, making tons of money?"

Orochimaru smiled slyly and glanced at Jiraiya, then looked back at Raijin.

Raijin and Orochimaru exchanged a brief smile, but halfway through, their smiles abruptly stopped.

"What's 'isn't he'? I don't quite get it," Raijin said, walking over to Tsunade and resting his head on her shoulder.

As Raijin grew older, he realized Tsunade was becoming harder to deal with.

"Good boy~"

Tsunade naturally wrapped her arm around Raijin's shoulder and patted him.

"Hahaha!"

The ninjas around them burst into laughter.

Only Might Duy looked confused, not understanding why everyone was laughing.

"Alright."

Tsunade tapped on the table, and the room instantly quieted.

"Let's head to Sunagakure."

She stood up and addressed the ninjas. When fighting Iwagakure, speed was the key. But for Sunagakure, there would be no time limit.

They would keep fighting until one side was completely wiped out.

...

"Madara-sama, Iwagakure no longer exists."

Inside Madara's base, Black Zetsu appeared in front of Uchiha Madara.

"Iwagakure lasted less than two hours."

After a pause, Black Zetsu continued.

"Less than two hours, and everyone is dead. The real battle only lasted a few minutes."

Madara closed his eyes slightly and massaged his forehead.

Although he hadn't seen it firsthand, Uchiha Madara could roughly guess what happened in Iwagakure.

It wasn't hard to figure out.

But this also meant that those two ninjas could easily win in a one-on-one fight.

"So what do we do next..."

Black Zetsu asked, looking at Uchiha Madara.

Given the current situation, Black Zetsu felt helpless.

All he could do was put all his hopes on Uchiha Madara.

"Iwagakure is gone, and the ninja might not have realized it yet, but Sunagakure won't be so careless. They've worked hard to train their strong warriors. How could they just give up easily?"

Madara slowly opened his eyes and looked at Black Zetsu.

"So, take this opportunity to find the Six-Tails as soon as possible."

"But... even if we got the Six-Tails..."

Black Zetsu started to speak but stopped midway.

Although the words weren't finished, Uchiha Madara understood what Black Zetsu meant.

Even with the Six-Tails, the Outer Path Golem was still incomplete. Even if he became the Jinchuriki of the Ten Tails, he would still be incomplete.

"Don't rush, take it slow. Sooner or later, there will be a great war."

Uchiha Madara chuckled and shook his head.

The mysterious ninja's target was Konohagakure, and their determination was unwavering.

Now, with that mysterious ninja growing stronger, Konohagakure had also made up its mind to fight him to the death.

From here, there were only two possibilities: either the two would fight, one would die, and the other would be injured, or one side would retreat.

But no matter which happened in the end, a world-shaking battle was sure to come.

And that would be his chance to turn things around.

The Tailed Beasts...

They weren't that important. Yes, they were significant, but not hard to collect.

What was truly difficult was Konohagakure, which was standing in his way.

What worried him was that unknown ninja.

Once these two obstacles were cleared, in this world, he would be a god.

He could do whatever he wanted.

But until then, there was no need to rush.

The Six-Tails that had already died would not come back to life.

What had already happened couldn't be changed.

Take it slow, now, there's plenty of time.

...

Otsutsuki Isshiki stood on the roof of the Kazekage building, silently watching the Konohagakure forces surrounding Sunagakure in three circles.

And the slow-moving Uchiha Raijin approaching him.

"Kangping, Go."

Isshiki spoke to a Sunagakure ninja beside him.

"Leave it to me, Jigen-sama."

Kangping responded with a cold smile, a few strands of yellow sand rising and pulling him towards Raijin.

Leave it to you...

Watching Kangping slowly disappear into the distance, Isshiki sighed helplessly in his heart.

Unless something unexpected happened, Kangping was no match for Raijin.

From Isshiki's perspective, even at his peak, defeating Raijin with his current strength would not be an easy task.

Let alone... someone like Kangping, who only possessed part of Isshiki's power?

Gozu from Iwagakure died easily.

He couldn't even last ten minutes.

"The war ended so many years ago. You Sunagakure spent so much money, so why are you making this mistake again?"

Raijin stood with his hands behind his back, not even using his swords to attack Kangping.

After all, the abilities displayed by the ninja who called himself Jigen were something Raijin had to take seriously.

If he were to disarm himself...

Forget the pain, but it would truly be embarrassing.

"What's this? You think Jigen can help Sunagakure fight Konohagakure?"

Raijin continued asking Kangping.

"Peace isn't something you can buy with money. Do you know what kind of life we've been living in Sunagakure all these years?"

Kangping, almost gritting his teeth, looked at Raijin with pure hatred.

"Oh? What? Didn't your Kazekage-sama sign the ceasefire agreement? Why didn't you oppose it back then?"

Raijin laughed lightly and asked Kangping.

"That was all forced by Konohagakure."

Upon hearing this, Kangping immediately spoke in displeasure.

"Yeah, that's right. It's Konohagakure forcing you into this. You have to fight them, right? If you lose, don't you have to pay something? Who would take a beating without fighting back?"

Raijin nodded in agreement upon hearing this.

"But what I don't understand is, are you guys out of your minds? Things are fine now, so why pick a fight with Konohagakure? It was just a matter between the three of us, and now you're the cannon fodder."

Raijin, confused, turned to Kangping and asked.

Raijin really couldn't understand why Sunagakure and Iwagakure got involved.

Wouldn't it be safer to wait for the situation to settle before attacking Konohagakure?

Why the rush?

"Cannon fodder? We haven't fought yet, and it's still uncertain who's going to die."

Kangping sneered coldly, looking down at Raijin from above.

"It seems like that Jigen has given you quite a bit of courage."

Raijin's expression changed slightly as if he understood.

"But why? Ask him if he can defeat Konohagakure. He's just a coward hiding behind his tricks."

Raijin lifted his head and pointed his chin toward Otsutsuki Isshiki, speaking with obvious disdain.

To Raijin, Otsutsuki Isshiki's only advantage was that he was one person who could use space-time ninjutsu, someone who could run away at will.

Aside from being capable of fighting and leaking few details, he was otherwise an unremarkable existence.

"Some things have to be done by someone. As the senior, we can't let the juniors pay our debts for us, right? If we did, as seniors, we'd be failures."

Kangping chuckled lightly, radiating an almost saintly glow.

"Yeah, you're right. But it's a shame that you've already denied your juniors the chance to even show up. Originally, Konohagakure might have felt bad about wiping you out, considering how much you've been paying them every year."

Raijin smirked and shook his head, speaking softly to Kangping.

"But now that you've attacked Konohagakure first, it's a different story. Kangping of Iwagakure lasted less than ten minutes against me. I wonder how long you can last."

Raijin's gaze grew dangerous.

As his words fell, Kangping's body tensed up.

The surrounding fools began to stir.

With his sand control techniques, Kangping had the advantage of the desert environment.

"I admit I'm not your match. Here, I'm stronger than Gozu, but not by much. However, I'm not fighting alone here."

Kangping raised his hand, and countless grains of sand began to gather around him.

"Oh? Are you relying on that Jigen? Will he step in? I've always wondered why every time we meet, he leaves after a short while."

Raijin nodded, slowly stating a simple fact.

At the same time, as Raijin spoke, a line of thunderclouds began to form in the sky.

The thick clouds blocked the sunlight, causing a slight chill to spread across the desert.

Since Kangping had the advantage of the land, Raijin thought he'd at least take advantage of the weather.

"Clearly, Jigen can still fight. He hasn't used many of his techniques. Why run away? I've thought about it long and hard… and in the end, I can only guess."

Raijin turned his gaze toward Otsutsuki Isshiki's direction and said loudly.

"Mr. Jigen must not be in a good condition to fight right now, right? Let me guess why. Is it because he's injured? Or is there some technique sustaining your life, preventing you from fighting at full strength?"
