Chapter 270 - Chapter 270: You're So Good with Words

Apart from these reasons, Raijin couldn't think of any other good explanations.

Otherwise, it would be impossible to explain why, despite having so many chances, and clearly not being at the point where they had to retreat, this person would leave without a second thought.

Although Raijin had already lost the advantage of foresight by now, he was still a proper Jonin from Konohagakure, the kind who passed the written exams.

When it came to intelligence analysis, he still had some skills.

"I say it, do you believe me?"

Otsutsuki Isshiki narrowed his eyes and asked Raijin in return.

Otsutsuki Isshiki was not at all flustered by Raijin coming to this conclusion. It was, after all, an undeniable fact.

And even if it was exposed, it wouldn't affect him at all.

He could still leave whenever he wanted, and fight whenever he wanted.

"Whether I believe it or not doesn't matter. What matters is what you're going to do."

Raijin chuckled lightly and said to Otsutsuki Isshiki.

Raijin had to admit that if Otsutsuki Isshiki wanted to leave a place, no one in the ninja world could stop him.

Not Uchiha Madara, and not even himself.

Since ancient times, there has never been a stable method to make space-time ninjutsu ineffective.

So, the basic takeaway from this battle was that they had made it so that Otsutsuki Isshiki couldn't use his space for advantage.

Since Konohagakure couldn't move openly, they'd maximize the advantage they had in plain sight.

Taking this chance, they would unify the entire ninja world, integrate everything that could be integrated, and challenge these people.

"Do I still need to tell you what I'm going to do?"

Otsutsuki Isshiki chuckled lightly and then said to Kangping.

"What's wrong? Do you want to keep talking?"

"Stop joking. Here, I'll just kill you."

Kangping's expression turned serious.

Kangping didn't like Uchiha Raijin, but he wouldn't underestimate him.

Even though he, who was skilled in controlling sand, was standing on this desert, he still acknowledged Raijin's strength.

"After this battle, Sunagakure will disappear forever from this land."

With the sound of a sword being drawn, Raijin slowly spoke to Kangping.

"Of course, you won't be able to see it."

Raijin, holding the Kusanagi Sword, took slow steps toward Kangping.

Even though one was in the air and the other on the ground.

"Anyone can say big words. I could say, after this battle, Konohagakure will disappear forever from this land."

Kangping sneered coldly, saying disdainfully.

A large amount of sand started gathering above Raijin's head, and in the next moment, it rained down on him, quickly attacking.

Suna Shigure! But that wasn't all. The sand beneath Raijin's feet seemed to come alive, sweeping toward him, trying to trap Raijin in place.

"You must really look down on me, huh?"

A golden-purple flame began to rise, and a golden-purple sphere slowly appeared in Raijin's hand.

In an instant, the once-turbulent sand suddenly quieted down.

The chakra that had been controlling the sand was now completely gathered into the sphere in Raijin's hand.

This was a trivial ability brought by the Tenseigan.

It was just chakra absorption, one of the basic abilities of this top-tier dojutsu.

"To defeat me, chakra alone won't work. What's wrong? Didn't your ancestors teach you any other techniques?"

Kangping didn't give up. He continued to try his best to control the sand, attempting to kill Raijin.

But this kind of behavior only made the chakra sphere in Raijin's hand grow bigger and brighter.

"I really overestimating you guys."

The chakra sphere in his hand started spinning in Raijin's grasp.

"This should be the Rasengan developed by my disciple, right?"

Jiraiya, who had been observing the situation, stroked his chin as he spoke.

"Yeah, it uses the principle of the Rasengan's rotation to increase its power."

Orochimaru nodded in agreement, but its internal structure had nothing to do with the Rasengan anymore.

"Look, this is your chakra."

Raijin stood in place, holding the rapidly spinning chakra sphere and directed it toward Kangping.

"?"

Kangping blinked in confusion. What now? "This is mine."

As he spoke, the chakra sphere Raijin was holding immediately doubled in size, and the light it emitted became so bright it was hard to look at.

"Then, add some natural energy."

As Raijin finished speaking, the chakra sphere in his hand grew once again, its size increasing another twofold.

The balance of chakra and natural energy must strictly follow a one-to-one ratio.

Looking at the scene in front of him, Kangping's eyes widened in shock.

No way...

With both hands forming seals, the entire desert under Kangping's control began to stir.

Countless grains of sand started to gather around Sunagakure, forming a protective barrier around the village.

"Then, just throw it."

Raijin moved his wrist slightly, using a clever force, and the rapidly spinning chakra sphere flew toward the newly formed sand.

It wasn't fast, but Kangping couldn't stop it.

As soon as the chakra sphere touched the sand wall surrounding Sunagakure, the entire barrier collapsed with a loud crash.

Even though so many things were added, in essence, it was still a jutsu that absorbed chakra.

How could a Ninjutsu, using chakra, possibly stop this chakra sphere?

"Then, it will..."

Raijin extended his right hand, his fingers clenched together. In the next moment, he spread all five fingers wide.

Nearby, Tsunade, Orochimaru, Jiraiya, and the Konohagakure ninjas all covered their ears.

"Boom!"

A mushroom cloud slowly rose, the explosion's center point at the Kazekage building.

Under the force of the explosion, almost every building in Sunagakure was damaged to some degree.

"No!"

Raijin stood with his hands behind his back, silently watching Kangping, who had been so high and mighty just moments ago but was now kneeling on the ground, crying uncontrollably.

Really... Did he not even notice that his back was exposed to others?

"You see, that person doesn't care about you. When danger comes, he runs faster than anyone else."

However, Raijin had no intention of attacking him while he was down. Otsutsuki Isshiki had already left. Sunagakure was gone, and all that was left here was Kangping.

Rather than finishing him off immediately, Raijin wanted to vent the frustration he had built up over time.

Really... I've had enough!

"Go die!"

As Raijin finished speaking, Kangping, his face contorted with rage, pulled out a kunai and lunged at Raijin.

"Ah... Do you know Orochimaru? He's quite a famous scientist in our village."

Raijin easily grabbed Kangping's wrist, holding the hand that held the kunai. He looked into Kangping's eyes, filled with hatred, and softly spoke.

As Raijin finished speaking, Orochimaru, who was standing nearby, instinctively cleared his throat, straightening his back slightly.

Honestly, the title of scientist sounded a little better than "disaster-bringer."

Orochimaru really liked it.

"Chakra is a product of the fusion of spiritual power and physical energy. So, when a ninja is extremely angry, their strength can indeed experience an outburst, to varying degrees."

"Yeah, he's right."

Hearing Raijin's words, Orochimaru nodded in agreement and turned to Jiraiya beside him.

"Did I ask you?"

Jiraiya gave Orochimaru a disdainful look.

"You have no shame."

"Just teaching you some knowledge."

Orochimaru shot Jiraiya an unhappy glare. This guy had no gratitude at all.

"Then thank you."

Jiraiya waved his hand impatiently at Orochimaru.

Isn't this something every ninja knows? I've already practiced it several times myself!

"But seriously, you really think you can kill me with that Kunai? Are you underestimating me?"

Raijin tightened his grip on Kangping's wrist. The sound of bones cracking filled the air, accompanied by Kangping's muffled groan of pain as the Kunai fell from his hand and landed in the sand.

"Does it hurt?"

Raijin didn't let go of Kangping's wrist, slowly walking toward him.

"Is it the pain from your broken wrist, or is it the pain of losing your home that hurts more?"

As Raijin walked, he kept talking to Kangping.

"To be honest, I feel like my actions right now are pretty low, but I can't take it anymore. I'm suffering too."

Raijin's voice, once calm, began to turn harsher, filled with gritted teeth.

"You paid money to Konohagakure. Life may be hard, but at least you're still alive, right? Didn't you start this war? Don't you have to face the consequences of losing?"

"Why get involved in this? A mysterious ninja gives you an empty promise, and you're willing to risk your life for him?"

"I fought Uchiha Madara to stop him, to prevent him from carrying out the Eye of the Moon plan. After I succeeded, weren't you supposed to benefit from that?"

"Or do you want to live in a fake world, experiencing the dream someone else has woven for you? Why get involved?"

"Do you know? It's because of you, because of that Gozu from Iwagakure. You two delayed me, allowing that Jigen to appear in Konohagakure and hurt my six-year-old son."

"He was only six! He got cursed with some unknown seal. If it was your child, would you feel the same pain?"

Not far away, Tsunade blinked silently, lowering her head without saying a word.

"You deserve to die!"

Kangping stared at Uchiha Raijin with gritted teeth, speaking slowly and with hatred.

"Yes, I deserve it. I've deserved it since the day I was born. After years of training, killing so many people, even if I'm killed by you today, I deserve it."

Raijin nodded, looking at Kangping.

"But you're the one coming after me. Aren't you good at fighting? You three come at me together, instead of picking on a child…"

Raijin faltered, unable to continue.

"Gozu is luckier than you because Iwagakure is stronger than Sunagakure, so I gave them a quick end. Now, this pain, you're the one who has to bear."

Raijin licked his dry lips and spoke to Kangping.

His eyes were slightly red, his lips curled in a smile.

"You made me suffer, so I'll make you feel the same. Watch as your village, your family, your friends, and everything related to you disappear in an explosion. How does that feel?"

"You'll die sooner or later."

"Who knows? The age of ninjas is over. Now it's the age of Senjutsu. In this era started by Konohagakure, who knows if people can achieve immortality?"

Raijin sneered and tightened his grip on Kangping's wrist.

"Ah!"

With a scream, Kangping's arm was severed.

"Have you heard of Impure World Reincarnation? I'll use the descendants of your Sunagakure as sacrifices, summoning you, Gozu, from the underworld every couple of years, so you can see for yourself—Konohagakure still exists, Sunagakure and Iwagakure haven't been rebuilt, and I'm still alive."

With those words, Raijin tossed Kangping's arm to Orochimaru.

Raijin was just trying to scare Kangping with that comment. Who has the time to summon them every day, really?

However, it was still necessary to study the bodies of Kangping and Gozu, to figure out what that white wedge on them was about and how it affected their bodies.

"You're such a... bastard!"

Kneeling on the ground, Kangping lifted his head, and once again, countless sands charged toward Raijin.

"I don't understand, kid. Why are you so dumb?" Raijin sighed and shook his head. He gently pressed his hand, and the sand around them quieted down.

"Bastard? Why am I a bastard? During the Second Great Ninja War, I crushed Kumogakure and Kirigakure. As for the third... well, let's call it a war. I destroyed Sunagakure and Iwagakure. Now, the ninja world is left with just Konohagakure."

Raijin stepped in front of Kangping and raised a finger to lift his chin.

"Do you know what that means? It means Konohagakure only needs to support a few small nations and suppress a few others, and the ninja world will enjoy a long period of peace. No wars, no death, no blood, no pain from losing loved ones."

"Can you do that? I did it."

"You can't. You still have enemies—Jigen, Uchiha Madara. Who knows if you can win?"

Kangping smiled bitterly at Raijin's words.

"Right, you're right. But they won't start a large-scale war, right? What do you think?"

Raijin chuckled lightly, saying it casually. A little venting made him feel much better.

"Yeah, but what about your son? The combination of Senju and Uchiha blood, what a brilliant genius that would have been. It's a shame, really a shame. I'll be waiting down there, waiting for your son to come. We old guys will take good care of your child."

Kangping burst into loud laughter, clearly enjoying himself.

"You're so good with words."

Raijin sneered and stretched out his other hand, a golden-purple sphere appearing in his palm.

"Next, help me fight against Uchiha Madara and Jigen."
