After all the power it absorbed, the egg was now five meters in height, gigantic, and covered completely by metal of red, gold, purple, and black, and embedded with many colorful jewels.
"Now, what are you waiting for?! Come to me, my beast!"
Crack, crack…!
And the egg started gaining many cracks just as he commanded, while the pieces started falling one after another, and something within it started emerging, tearing through the hard metal with sharp claws.
FLUOOOSH!
As it began hatching, the creature inside released a massive, powerful aura that encompassed the surroundings, making Chris and the rest gasp in disbelief.
"W-What is this?! It's a golden aura?" Chris asked, looking around.
"And red too!" Emerlinda said.
"But this is… Like some sort of Domain, no?" Gofumina wondered.
"A pseudo-domain!" Chris gasped. "Wait, don't tell me that little thing became so strong its existence alone generates a Domain?!"
RUMBLE!
As the creature tore through its eggshell, which didn't disappear but remained right there, giving Vlad the opportunity to take a few huge pieces while leaving a few, as he was sure the beast would eat its own eggshell after birth, the world around them trembled once more.
"Come and greet your new master, Guardian Beast! Show me your true appearance, beast of providence!"
As Vlad talked nonsense, the creature's complete form emerged as it smashed its surroundings with its enormous body.
It was just a "pup," a baby, and yet it was already enormous, almost four meters of height alone!
The light of the creature's aura slowly dissipated, slowly revealing what it looked like.
The Heavenly Demon smiled, thinking about what it could be.
"Surely, it could be a Legendary White Tiger! Or perhaps a Heavenly Golden Dragon?! No! Maybe a Vermillion Bird?! Or an Azure Dragon! Even a Black Tortoise! Or maybe a Quillin!"
The Heavenly Demon imagined many powerful Millenary Beasts that existed within the Realm of Murim, all of them from Chinese Mythology and Legends, powerful beings.
"Shyeeeehhh!"
The creature let out a loud hissing sound, making the ground around it tremble…
And then, everyone saw its glorious appearance.
"W-Woah…! That's…" Chris' eyes and expression changed from awe to… slight disgust.
"Huh? Wait, that's not what I imagined…" Emerlinda muttered.
"Wait a second…" Gofumina muttered.
The creature in front of them, with pale white color, beautiful golden markings across their body resembling flames and clouds, eight glorious, sharp, and long legs, eight crimson eyes, and a big pair of sharp mandibles, with many colorful jewels on top of its head and a little golden horn.
"W-What?! A spider?! How could this be?!"
The Heavenly Demon and Vlad, who were one in this moment, were left completely perplexed and flabbergasted.
They had truly imagined a legendary beast, but they got… a spider.
Not that spiders were not cool, Paul thought they were pretty neat in their own right and were among the most beautiful and graceful invertebrates.
But still…
It wasn't what anyone here was expecting.
"Right… No matter how much energy we infused, what it was going to become wouldn't be determined by it; it was… randomly chosen to be a Spider-type Guardian, huh?" Vlad wondered. "W-Well, it still looks really amazing!"
"Bah! I don't like it! I wanted something glorious! A nice steed to take me across the clouds, a powerful White Tiger or a Quillin, would've been ideal!" The Heavenly Demon complained. "What is a spider going to do?!"
"K-Kyuuh…"
The Spider suddenly felt all let down, its large body sitting over the nest as they heard the annoyed words of the Heavenly Demon.
"Oi, stop being an asshole with the little guy! Okay, deactivate transformation!"
"E-Eh? Wait!"
Before the Heavenly Demon could do anything, he quickly felt like he was taken away from his body, going back to his spiritual state.
"Haaah… Thankfully I was able to take over."
Vlad slowly walked towards the spider, grabbing a large piece of the eggshell and sharing it with the beast.
"Sorry about that; it wasn't me talking but an inner heart demon," Vlad smiled at the spider. "Do you want to eat something, little guy… or girl?"
"K-Kyuuh?" The spider's big, adorable red eyes looked at Vlad, and then while moving its mandibles adorably, it started biting and eating off his hand.
Crunch, crunch, crunch…
It seemed to have a lot of appetite, licking his hand right after eating.
"Hahaha, aren't you more like a puppy than a spider?" Vlad giggled, patting the creature's head. "Here you go, eat as much as you need; this'll be your first and most nutritious meal."
"Kyuuh!"
The spider began devouring all of the eggshell that was left after Vlad took around ten percent of it for himself. He wasn't going to take more than that, as he knew this was an important meal for the creature that just some monster corpses, blood, or normal food couldn't replace.
"I-It's really a spider, huh?" Chris walked to his side. "It's kind of cute? I guess? I've always thought of them as gross, but this one is so big it's a bit different."
"Yeah…" Vlad nodded. "I think spiders are cool. So I don't have any problem with them… The Heavenly Demon was the stupid idiot complaining about it, though."
"Pff, yeah, he really did complain a lot!" Chris giggled. "So what's his name… or her name?"
"That's what I'm about to find out…" Vlad said, glancing at the system notifications.
Ding!
