The sun dipped lower, and the last of their classmates disappeared from sight. Hinata stepped away with a confident nod. "I'll see you tomorrow, Naruto."

"Yeah," He replied, watching her walk off, the quiet rustle of her footsteps mixing with the evening breeze.

Once alone, Naruto stretched his arms above his head, his muscles flexing under his Academy uniform.

"She's interesting," He muttered to himself, an approving grin spreading across his face.

"You're collecting attention again," Kurama's deep voice rumbled in his mind, his tone a mix of amusement and warning.

"Not my fault I'm irresistible," Naruto replied casually, stuffing his hands into his pockets as he turned toward the Academy gates.

The fading sunlight painted the streets of Konoha in gold and crimson, casting long shadows that stretched before him.

The walk home was quiet, save for the murmurs of villagers closing up their shops. Unlike the old Naruto, this one didn't care for their whispers—whether they were admiring or wary. He was no longer the boy begging for their acknowledgment.

His mind, however, was busy—always turning, always plotting his next steps. He had no interest in becoming Hokage or following someone else's dream. The future he envisioned was his alone to carve, and nothing would stop him.

----

The next day

The morning sun painted the Ninja Academy with soft golden hues as children gathered for another day of training. The playground bustled with energy as groups of friends chatted, laughed, and prepared for their morning lessons.

Naruto strolled through the Academy courtyard like he owned the place, his confident steps and bright grin catching the eyes of several classmates.

"Oi, Naruto!"

Kiba waved energetically as he ran over, with Akamaru—a tiny pup—perched proudly on his head. "What kind of move are you gonna show off today, huh?"

Naruto grinned, flashing his sharp teeth in an almost mischievous way. "Can't spoil the surprise, Kiba. If you're lucky, maybe I'll let you watch and learn."

Kiba groaned dramatically, ruffling Akamaru's fur. "You think you're so cool!"

"He's not wrong," Choji added through a mouthful of chips as he and Shikamaru ambled over.

"Too much energy this early," Shikamaru muttered, yawning as he stuffed his hands into his pockets. "It's troublesome how much attention Naruto gets these days."

Naruto chuckled, casually tossing his bag onto the ground and leaning back against a tree. "I can't help it if I'm popular."

Not far away, Sasuke Uchiha stood silently, watching the scene unfold with his usual brooding expression.

A group of girls were already nearby, sneaking glances between Sasuke and Naruto—though, unlike before, there was a noticeable shift in focus.

"Na-ru-to!"

Naruto turned at the loud voice just as Ino stormed up to him, her face bright and confident. Her blonde ponytail bounced behind her as she planted her hands on her hips. "I saved you a spot next to me today in class, so don't even think about sitting anywhere else."

Before Naruto could respond, Sakura rushed forward, her pink hair almost flying in the wind. "Ino-pig, you wish! Naruto's sitting next to me!"

"Why would he pick you, Forehead Girl?" Ino shot back, stepping closer to Naruto.

Sakura's fists clenched, and her cheeks turned red as she stomped in place. "He just will! Right, Naruto?"

Naruto blinked at the two girls squabbling before looking over at Shikamaru, who sighed loudly.

"Good luck with that," Shikamaru muttered.

"Ladies, ladies, please," Naruto smirked as he straightened up, hands stuffed into his pockets. "There's plenty of Naruto to go around."

Ino's cheeks flushed slightly, and Sakura immediately shouted, "Stop acting like you're so cool!"

"I am cool," Naruto replied easily, tossing them a wink.

Nearby, Hinata appeared—calm, collected, and confident, as always. Her lavender eyes gleamed with amusement as she approached the growing group.

"Good morning, Naruto-kun," She greeted softly, though her tone carried a teasing edge.

Naruto turned to her, flashing his signature grin. "Morning, Hinata. You're as early as ever."

Hinata shrugged lightly, stepping up beside him with a small smile. "It's always fun watching you handle your… admirers."

Sakura and Ino both turned sharply to look at her, but Hinata remained unbothered, meeting their glares with serene confidence. "Naruto-kun, you're sitting with me today, aren't you?"

Naruto blinked, surprised by her boldness. "I guess that's up to you, isn't it?"

Hinata's smile widened as she tilted her head. "Good. I already saved us a spot."

Kiba let out an exaggerated groan, flopping dramatically onto the grass. "What's going on?! Naruto's like… a magnet or something!"

Choji crunched loudly on his chips, nodding. "Yeah, even Hinata's joining in. Crazy…"

"Troublesome," Shikamaru muttered again, though he smirked faintly. "Naruto's changing the whole dynamic around here."

----

By mid-morning, Iruka-sensei announced a sparring exercise, splitting the class into pairs.

"Naruto, you're with Sasuke!"

The entire class erupted into murmurs, excited to see the two most talked-about boys go head-to-head.

Naruto stretched lazily, flashing a smirk at Sasuke. "Ready to lose again, Sasuke?"

Sasuke scowled, his dark eyes narrowing. "Tch. As if."

They faced off in the center of the training field, their classmates forming a rough circle around them.

"Begin!" Iruka called.

Sasuke moved first, charging forward with controlled precision. Naruto grinned, dodging each strike with ease, his movements smooth and deliberate.

"You're too stiff, Sasuke," Naruto teased, slipping around his opponent and lightly tapping his shoulder. "Relax a little, will ya?"

"Shut up!" Sasuke growled, launching another punch.

Naruto ducked, landing lightly on his feet as he smirked. "You're just making it too easy."

The watching students buzzed with excitement. Kiba whistled. "Is it just me, or is Naruto… better than Sasuke now?"

"Better? No way," Sakura huffed, though her tone lacked conviction as she watched Naruto easily evade another strike.

Ino, however, leaned forward, grinning. "Looks like Sasuke finally has some competition."

As the sun began to dip lower, the Academy bell rang, signaling the end of the day. Students trickled out of the building, chattering excitedly about Naruto and Sasuke's sparring match.

Naruto lingered by the gates, casually leaning against the wall as his classmates passed him.

"Na-ru-to!"

Ino sprinted up, nearly shoving Kiba aside as she stopped in front of him. "Walk me home, okay? You can tell me how you got so strong."

Sakura stomped over seconds later. "Why would he walk you home? Naruto, come with me!"

Kiba groaned loudly from the side. "How come nobody fights over me like that?"

Hinata appeared once again, her serene smile drawing Naruto's attention instantly. "Naruto-kun, maybe you'd like to train with me tomorrow morning before class?"

Naruto grinned at her offer, casually slinging his bag over his shoulder. "Sure thing, Hinata. I'll be there."

As he started walking off, Hinata confidently fell into step beside him.

Ino and Sakura both stared in disbelief, Kiba and Choji muttering about how "unfair" it all was.

Shikamaru just smirked, shaking his head. "Naruto's got the whole class spinning in circles. What a drag…"

"See you tomorrow, everyone," Naruto called back without looking, his confident voice carrying easily across the courtyard.

Hinata flashed a teasing glance at him. "You're enjoying this, aren't you?"

Naruto chuckled, his bright blue eyes glinting mischievously. "Maybe just a little."

Together, the two walked off toward the village, leaving the Academy behind under the soft glow of the evening sun.
