While the Jade Dragons began to quickly make their way out of the necropolis, Netherius got up from the ground as his recent wounds healed automatically.
The necromancer seemed slightly annoyed at their escape attempt, but he was aware that he wouldn't be able to get past Dante to get to them— at least not without killing him first.
"We don't have to do this, Dante…" Netherius spoke up, calling the warlock by name.
"Why are you risking your life to save these people? We are not even from this world!" He asked, though his question made no sense to Dante.
"Why would that matter to me? Maybe if you had done this somewhere else, then I wouldn't have interfered," Dante replied, his eyes focused and sharpened.
Netherius clicked his tongue and raised his tone, telling Dante to move away before he could regret it.
"Nah. I'll stay here," Dante replied.
