There is absolutely no need for the inheritance of the Tree Ancestor's power; Tang San is now recognized by all the Elders as the patriarch. It never crossed its mind that after so many years away, its brother would become so powerful.
Tang San said with a smile, "Elders, please rise. Since the Elders recognize me, I shall accept the responsibility unflinchingly."
The Great Elder sighed and said, "Patriarch, I have offended you many times before, please punish me."
Tang San waved his hand and said, "There's no need to mention punishment. The Elders are merely considering the safety and well-being of our clan." He certainly wouldn't disrupt the atmosphere he had just built because of one selfish Great Elder. He wasn't worried about these Elders being too selfish; under a powerful enough deterrence and under the brilliance of the Tree Ancestor, they wouldn't dare make any further moves.
