Chapter 1 - Prologue

I was very religious...,

'Well..., am very religious.'

Thus I knew there would be an afterlife.

'Though it seems I messed up and somehow ended in a black void.'

Bored of the emptiness, I turned to something I was passionate about.

Developing characters, power sets, and templates of characters I would like to become, should the afterlife in Heaven not work out.

After all, with so many reincarnation and isekai stories in circulation it never hurts to be prepared.

'Not like I could do something else anyway — at least not off the top of my head.

That said... why am I thinking like I have an audience?'

Funny you should ask.

We both know I think faster than I talk or write. Not to mention I constantly have conversations with myself — it helps pass the time and develop new ideas.

So don't mind me, mind. Just keep those ideas coming.

'Guess I'll just keep bouncing ideas and thoughts off myself then.'

Speaking of ideas... something interesting happened as I finished my first character.

'First, I should describe myself a bit. I am apparently made of light, and have a humanoid form.'

So what happened was that I noticed my glow dimming ever so slightly. Moments later, a small orb of light (the part that had dimmed) separated from my body and drifted off into the void.

.

.

.

'I'm going out on a limb here, but I'm guessing that was a piece of me... sent to live a life based on that character.'

Growing excited, I continued developing characters — hundreds, thousands, I lost count.

After each one finished, I would dim slightly — a ball of light would leave me, drifting away in a random direction.

In the end, I was barely visible — even to myself.

I instinctively knew I had only one more character left in me.

'(Here's to hoping my consciousness follows this one... instead of just fading away.)'

I had made a few Giratina-inspired characters before, but they always relied on equipment or blessings tied to him — never actually becoming him.

Since I had already made a character based on Mega Mewtwo Y (my favorite Pokémon), this time I chose to become Giratina.

I left this one very vague for reasons I couldn't explain, though I did fill out the basics:

1. Origin Form Giratina True Body with a modified version of Arceus' Omnipotent Ability from Pokémon Conquest.

2. If I end up in Marvel — or a similar world — become the Mirror Dimension and Negative Zone on top of the Distortion World.

3. Absolute Personal Mastery.

With those three conditions for the character, I could develop the character further if I want to.

Having finished the base template, and considering myself done with the character, I suddenly felt my body lose its form — compressing into what I presume to be a ball.

After which, I was shot across vast distances at unknown speeds — how did I know you ask?

'I didn't ask!'

Well, because even though I felt no resistance, I did see some HUGE, marble-like balls drifting by every once in a while — I presume those are omniverses or multiverses...

'And now you are ignoring yourself.'

Not really sure which, but since this is a void I will presume those are omniverses, as something in my mind is telling me that I am right, for some reason.

'I never said that.'

Well I wasn't referring to you..., me..., Oh we know what I mean. I am talking about that weird intuition we've been feeling since we started making characters with our light.

In the end we are both thoughts — used as argumentative imagination to overcome boredom — so do not act like you "don't know" what I am referring to.

'...Fine! Jeez, I just have to find a way to kill even my own fun sometimes...

I never understood why I could act like different people, and have entire conversations with myself as those people, but it always helped kill my boredom so..., what role should I take on next?'

.

.

.

After an unknown amount of time — if time even exists in what I presume is the Primordial Void...

'How I managed to survive here, I can only imagine is a blessing from God — given before He sent me away.

Otherwise, based on what I know of the Void — let alone the Primordial Void — I shouldn't even exist.'

I finally stopped right in front of a GIANT red marble. Before I could process what I was seeing, a massive hand — made of pure light — extended from it, grabbed me, and yanked me inside...
