When Qiao An and Little Nuomi arrived, she was listless and couldn't muster much energy.
"Sister-in-law, Little Nuomi, you're here," greeted Lu Meng in her pajamas, slowly sipping a glass of milk, her mind seemingly occupied elsewhere.
She looked weighed down by worries, as though she was troubled by love issues.
"Mengmeng, how is Yunjin doing today?" Qiao An inquired.
"Yunjin is fine. He's playing with the nanny," said Lu Meng.
Qiao An, with Little Nuomi in tow, climbed the stairs to the children's room, where they immediately heard Yunjin's clear laughter.
Little Nuomi lunged forward, exclaiming, "Yunjin, little brother!"
Standing by the bed on tiptoes, she stretched her little neck and planted a kiss on Yunjin's soft cheek.
