Editing go brrrrr hehe- uh
Anyway.
Onto the edited chapter!
I woke with a yawn. It's been... I don't know... 3 or 4 months? 5? It's hard to tell. Dragon hatchlings grow quickly (Maybe Deathsong grew quicker?).
Garff and I don't sleep in the same nest anymore, we both made a new one for ourselves. It was a very nice day, especially for sunbathing! I could hunt, there was a stream I passed by a while ago, maybe I should practice hunting fish.
I started doing that a while ago, every few weeks or days, I might see a small stream or pond, and fish. I might be able to completely stop eating other dragons and start eating fish.
Today, Sephra wanted us to go flying with her. Just for fun, no hunting, perhaps stopping by the beach (One of the best sun spots!).
I stretched my wings wide, yawning again and stretching like a cat. Garff was still snoozing away in his nest, should I wake him? I probably should... But maybe just after this...
He slinked into a tunnel connecting to another exit. There, the sun shone brightly onto the exit of the cave, by the position it was probably late morning. It felt really nice on my scales, but I made sure to look away. The sun hurts my eyes A LOT more than it should. I prefer darkness, but the sun on my scales is way too much–much more than other dragons should. I have to keep thinking I'm not a rainwing (I totally am-)
After a few minutes of getting warmed up, I went back into our cave. Walking over to Garff, I nudged him a bit. "C'mon, Garff! It's time to get up..."
Graff groaned, opened a single eyelid, "Whaa..? Why...?"
"Sephra wants to go on a fly, remember?"
"Ohhh, right! I should probably get up." He sat up, stretching his wings. He fluttered them a few times before looking at me. "Okay, I'm ready. Let's go!"
Garff went to the tunnel leading to Echo and Sephra's cave. I sighed, 'Why do I always get left behinddd?'.
I quickly followed, almost forgetting Subby (I take him with me everywhere, now.). Sephra was sitting in her nest, humming to herself. "Hi, Sephra!" He called out.
"Oh!" She turned her head, smiling. "Zero, Garff! I presume you're here for the fly?"
"Yep!" Graff eagerly nodded.
"Well, I was thinking to do it at sunhigh, but you're here, it just means we can fly for longer."
"Can we stop by the beach?" I asked.
She stopped smiling, frowning for a bit. "I suppose... I spotted humans there the other day, with weapons, they may be dangerous. I would get Echo to scare them off but... he isn't here. We can do that too, while we're there."
I frowned. I HATE fighting. I was always bad at it and honestly don't like it. I'm more of a pacifist, it's more peaceful that way.
"Either way, it'll be great to stretch my wings. I haven't been doing it that lately!" Garff grinned stupidly. That big goof... I hope he doesn't get hurt...
"Come on, let's go." Sephra started towards the entrance.

After we went around the majority of the island, we finally reached the beach. I would be glowing with happiness if it wasn't for the fact we had to fight.
There were multiple human figures on the ground, a lot, at least 50, so I know they're not they're not the Riders.
Sephra landed first, letting out a fierce growl. Then Garff copied her, landing and growling. I landed but didn't do a ferocious growl. Why would I? I'm, in fact, scared for my life. Plus, I didn't even land with them, I flew off to a ledge so I could be back up instead.
The humans started attacking, and very quickly Sephra and Garff were overwhelmed, arrows, swords, even a few dragonroot ones. I couldn't watch my family get killed, nor could I just turn away, so I opted to protect.
"GARFF! GET OUT OF HERE, I'LL TRY TO HOLD THEM OFF!" I flew down, spitting one big gunk of amber on a group of hunters, leaving it liquid before quickly solidifying it after they got out of the amber puddle.
Sephra had been downed, falling over, "B-but Sephra!-"
"I can handle myself, you both leave!"
Garff looked to me, to the downed Sephra, and to me, he finally started to hurry away and try to fly. Even if I am a pacifist, I don't have to kill them, but I want to take my revenge...
All the attention was on him, I'm pretty sure one of them said how much I'll be worth. Is that rude? Or a compliment? Eh, doesn't matter.
I leaped from rock to rock. I could dodge the arrows more since I'm smaller than Garff, but some still hit. I spat big glop, hardening it on impact. It didn't take long before twenty were left, and I was in a bunch of pain, not too much, though. I turned to fly in the direction of where Garff flew, but then turned back to see them loading Sephra onto the ship and turning to leave. I could use almost all my flight energy to try to get Sephra back, and risk getting attacked, or I could go to Garff and hope Sephra got replaced with the captured male deathsong... let's go with the latter, it's the safest for now.
I took off in the direction Garff went. Finally I reached another cove, landing on the edge, I was sooo tired, man. I sighed in relief, making a few noises that sounds like if you mix roaring with squeaking. "Garff! Are you alright?"
I could see the dragon riders, or in this case, Hiccup and Astrid, pull out their weapons. I kinda glared at them, well, it was more of a side-eye, like, you can't take out a deathsong with those. And landed next to Garff.
"Zero! I thought you died! I think I'm going to die...!" Garff whimpered.
"Garff, trust me, you're okay. I mean, you're going to be alright."
"But.. But they're saying I won't make it..."
"Who..?" I pretended not to know.
"The riders!" he gestured to Hiccup and Astrid.
"Weren't the Riders the same dragons or, I guess humans that saved you? I guess they're OKAY."
"Yes, they're VERY okay!"
"Okay... But I'm really tired, Garff, I might rest a bit, even if it isn't sleeping, if I were you."
"...Okay..."
She looked at the riders, who were talking to each other. I didn't pay attetion, cause, of course, why would I give a crap?
