Chapter 201 - Chapter 201: Rias

After the cuddling, Akeno and I returned to the Underworld. The trip was brief—my main intention was to drop her off and check on Asia and Sona, who I had "de-virgined" the other day.

I felt responsible for them now, more than ever, and wanted to make sure they were okay. However, it seemed that fate had other plans for me.

As soon as we stepped through the portal, Rias stood directly in front of us, her arms crossed and a strange expression on her face.

There was tension in the air, the kind you can feel but not see. Her eyes flicked from me to Akeno, then back to me, and I could sense that something was off.

Rias' eyes locked onto Akeno's, and for a moment, I could swear they were having an entire conversation without saying a word.

There was something between them—some kind of silent exchange, and I didn't need to be a mind reader to understand that I was somehow involved.

Akeno leaned toward me, murmuring softly, "I'll leave her to you," before planting a light kiss on my cheek. Then, before I could respond, she vanished with a graceful flick of her hair, leaving me standing alone with Rias.

I turned my attention to her, trying to gauge her mood. Rias' face was composed, but her usual bright energy felt muted. I raised an eyebrow, leaning casually against the nearest wall.

"Hey, Rias," I said, my voice light and teasing. "You okay? You look like you've got something on your mind."

She crossed her arms tighter, her gaze narrowing slightly. "You didn't invite me."

I blinked, surprised by her bluntness. "Invite you to what?"

Rias' cheeks flushed a deep shade of crimson, her frustration bubbling beneath the surface. "You know what I mean, Alex. You've been... busy with Akeno, Sona, and Asia. But not me." Her voice dropped, her words quiet but sharp. "You didn't even ask."

I could see where this was going. It wasn't just about being left out—it was about something deeper, something that touched her pride.

Rias was competitive, strong, and confident, but right now, she was feeling overlooked. She was still a virgin, and despite the close bond we shared, I had never crossed that line with her.

A slow smirk crept onto my face. "Oh, I see how it is. The great Rias Gremory is feeling... left out?"

Her eyes widened, and she huffed, her face growing even redder. "That's not—" She stopped, her expression softening into something more vulnerable. "I just... I thought I meant something to you, Alex."

Her words struck me, and I pushed off the wall, walking toward her. I could feel the emotions swirling around her, a mix of frustration, jealousy, and a touch of sadness.

Rias was proud, but right now, she was showing me a side of her that she didn't let out often.

"You do mean something to me," I said as I reached out to tilt her chin up so she had to look at me. "I mean, it's not like I've been avoiding you."

Rias' eyes met mine, and for a brief moment, I saw that flicker of uncertainty in her gaze. It was rare to see her like this—vulnerable, almost shy.

"I just thought..." She bit her lip, hesitating. "You've been spending all this time with them, and I guess I was waiting for you to make a move with me. But it never happened. You didn't ask, so I didn't say anything."

I chuckled softly, leaning in just a little closer. "So, all this time, you were waiting for me to make the first move, huh? Who would've thought that Rias Gremory was shy?"

Her blush deepened, and she scowled at me, but there was no real anger in her expression. "I'm not shy! I just—"

Before she could finish, I interrupted her with a grin. "You're jealous, aren't you?"

Her jaw tightened, and for a second, she looked like she was going to deny it. But then, she sighed and looked away, unable to meet my gaze. "Maybe a little," she admitted quietly.

I couldn't help but laugh, reaching out to gently cup her cheek. "You know you don't need to be jealous, right? There's plenty of me to go around."

Rias glared at me, but there was a faint smile tugging at her lips. "You're such a tease, Alex."

"Only because you make it so easy," I teased back. Then, with a more serious tone, I added, "Look, Rias, if this is really bothering you, we can fix that. I just didn't think you'd be interested in something like this, at least not yet. But I'll be honest—" I leaned in, my voice dropping to a whisper, "I am dying to get you."
