Having gained the initial recognition of the spell, Mordred felt slightly confident, to test it out, so he called Narcissa. They positioned themself opposite each other with around 10 meters (~30 feet) between them. "Are you ready?", Narcissa asked in a stern voice. After giving her the go, she flickered her wand a little and a glowing red beam was cast directly at him, the air around it was glimmering with red sparks. Being faster than he expected, the spell hit him and his body turned limb. Falling backwards on the gras, his fall was greatly decelerated, otherwise it would have been quite hard.
Shortly after he was hit by another spell, this time Ennervate, the Reviving Charm, leading to him getting conscious again. Standing up, and positioning himself again, this repeated itself over the course of the next hour, he was hit, being to slow to cast the spell or at least failing to cast the spell in a stable form in the short amount of time it took for her spell to hit him. But after this initial hour, he got some of them in time, preventing him from kissing the dirt each time, still often enough. Of course Narcissa was holding back, if she went all-out, he wouldn't stand the slightest chance, but since this was for him learning the spell, she lowered the power of her spells by a lot.
This continued till the sun began to set and the shadows became longer and longer. The courtyard was covered in a orange-red hue, giving it a tranquil almost glow. This resulted in a stark contrast to the loud explosions sounds that reverberated every now and then, representing the clash of the spells. By now Mordred was able to deflect the spell almost every time.
"So, this is enough for today. You should be able to reflect spells on your level rather confidently by now. We can continue to training in the future, but for now it should be more important to get you some practical experience, how it is really in a fight. Since the atmosphere is a totally other, your opponent wants you dead, and want hold back at all and even use every trick at their disposal to try to get an advantage over you.", Narcissa warned. "So I would propose that I let you fight against a Ash Wisp."
Ash Wisps were smoke creatures that shoot out hot sparks or heat blasts. Even though they were not that serious of a threat, they could still harm you quite badly, for an experienced mage, they were only a minor announce, but for a muggle or wizard newbie who's unable to defend against their attacks, they can lead to serious burns, but the chances of escaping were high, since they were not the fastest creatures out there.
After ringing a bell, a green small creature walked out of a portal that just opened. The small house elf, was wearing some lumps and was dirty, looking down he asked: "Yes master?" After giving the order to take a Ash Wisp out, the elf disappeared and reappeared only moments after, bringing a small iron cage with it. The bars were a dark metallic color, covered with some red glowing runes, probably limiting the powers of the magical creature. In the cage was a small cloud of gray smoke, regularly puffing some small red sparks out of it.

After opening the cage, the smoke cloud moved out, while in the surroundings a lot of small red sparks began to light up around it. It began to throw some fiery blasts in random directions, setting some grass and trees aflame. "Currently I've casted a spell on it, letting it ignore us. If you are ready, I'm going to lift it and let it target you." After giving her the go, the Ash Wisp suddenly become a lot more agitated, summoning a few glowing embers in the air and began shooting them at him.
Quickly shouting Protego, an ephemeral silver shield appeared blocking the incoming attacks. But the Ash Wisp didn't stood still, moving around to get another angle, it continued firing the heat blasts. Struggling to protect himself against the blasts from the different direction, he disregarded his protection and dodged the next incoming beam and casted the Water Making Charm, planning to extinguish the smoke cloud. While the water stream hit, the ash wisp casted his last blast. He was a little to slow to dodge completely and the blast struck him slightly at the arm, scorching his shirt a little and letting his skin get a few light burns. But his attack also connected, letting the creature evaporate in a big cloud of steam.

While Narcissa was running over to look at the wound and heal him up, Mordred was occupied with thoughts about the fight. 'If the enemy would've been a little stronger, I could have sustained some serious injuries. I need to improve myself more, before I can fight some wizards. Even some mud-blood student after the first year could currently defeat me'.
'If I use the system, I can level up my stats and spells quite fast.', coming to the conclusion to get himself in fights often from now on, to trigger quests, he watched his skin regenerate at an astonishing speed under the influence of the healing spell. 'Learning this spell, would also be quite helpful.'
"This is it for today, congratulation on killing your first magical creature. We will continue where we left off, in the future. But tomorrow at least will be occupied buying you the equipment you need for Hogwarts. And the day after we were invited by the Rosier family."

A/N:
Since this is my very first novel/ff, I'm not quite experienced writing fighting scenes. I'm not sure if this is okay or totally sucks, so I would really appreciate if you can give me some feedback, maybe even some ideas how I can improve my writing here.
As always thx a lot :)
