Penelope paused, taking in the large tree in front of them. It's leaves were sometimes a beautiful navy, deep and powerful like the ocean, yet occasionally soft and light like the morning sky. The wayward thief couldn't help but stare wide eyed at the canopy, even as the elven guards spoke in hushed whispers to each other.
From the way they aggressively pointed at Azel, who despite usually remained in a constant state of placid boredom now found himself frowning, Penny assumed that the source of this apparent chaos was their resident squire. It was clear from the others reactions that she was the only one who remained in the dark about what was going on, and Penelope found herself desperately curious.
The lead elf had referred to him as an 'abomination'... But that wasn't exactly much to go on, especially considering she knew next to nothing about the elves and what exactly they found abominable.
