The clock struck 1 am, casting a silver glow over the darkened halls of the mansion. Romeo's eyes were closed, his feet moving with a mind of their own as he drifted towards the living room. He didn't need to see to know where he was going – his body seemed to be drawn to space, as if by an unseen force.
The door creaked softly as he pushed it open, his eyes still shut. He floated across the room, his bare feet making barely a sound on the cold marble floor. The air was heavy with the scent of old books and wood polish, and the flickering moonlight cast eerie shadows on the walls.
As he reached the piano, Romeo's fingers seemed to come alive, stretching out like tentative fingers to caress the keys. He sat down, his eyes still closed, and began to play.
