The fight intensified. Every time Bans tried to attack or defend, he found himself bombarded by relentless assaults from Kisame, Itachi, Orochimaru, and Obito. Bans was forced to retreat, his eyes filled with despair despite his efforts to hide it. The battle that had once seemed under his control was now turning against him. The Akatsuki team was slowly but surely cornering Bans.
This battle was not over, but it was clear that Bans could no longer control the flow of the fight as he had before. The Akatsuki—with their speed, strength, and ruthlessness—were gradually leading Bans towards defeat.
As Bans began to feel the pressure, the reality hit him that he could no longer control the situation, forcing him to make a desperate decision. Bans turned and tried to escape, entering a cave, hoping to find refuge in the deeper underground labyrinth.
However, Bans was unaware that while he was busy facing Orochimaru, Kisame, Itachi, and Obito, two other Akatsuki members—Kakuzu and Kabuto—had snuck deep into the cave.
From the beginning, Kakuzu and Kabuto had planned to infiltrate the cave while Bans' attention was diverted. They slaughtered silently, killing every Smiling Masked Person they encountered.
Using wire threads, Kakuzu crafted wires to attack enemies, efficiently eliminating foes with deadly precision. Every attack from Kakuzu was quick, brutal, and merciless.
On the other hand, Kabuto, with a sly smile on his face, used his medical expertise to kill with precision. The Chakra Kunai in Kabuto's hand sliced through necks and arteries, ensuring the enemies' deaths in an instant without resistance.
Along the way to the research room, hundreds of Smiling Masked People fell one by one, their bodies silently scattered in the dark corridors of the cave.
After dispatching every enemy that blocked their path, Kakuzu and Kabuto finally arrived at the door of the research room.
