Chapter 86 - Team Moves

Oscar was with Ruby as they were in training room, as Ruby looked as she spoke. "Rose Garden".

Ruby then actived her semblance, as he stretch out his hand she catcehe as the both went into the sky, as then she landed Oscar, as he did he Uses Fire Ball, Wind Slash, Water Blast, Freeze Dry and Earth Spirke together, sending the Robots back as Oscar got up, as then holds ruby and ans spins her around as she fired bullets using her scythe

Jaune spoke looking as he spoke. "So um Oscar do you have one with all of your teammate".

Oscar looked at him as he spoke. "Yeah Snowy Field with Ice, Sun Flowee Field with Yang and Shadow Cat with Blake".

Jaune raised an eyebrow, clearly impressed. "So, you've got a whole set of team-up moves?"

Oscar nodded with a smirk. "I guess you could say I'm trying to make sure we're all on the same page when things get chaotic."

Ruby, who was spinning around after being caught by Oscar, smiled and nodded. "Yep! We've been practicing! It's all about synergy."

Jaune looked thoughtful. "Well, that's impressive. You know, I've been working on my own moves too. Maybe we should team up sometime and create a combo move of our own!"

Oscar chuckled. "Sure, Jaune. But first, let's see if you can even keep up with us in a real battle."

Jaune's face flushed slightly. "I can handle myself, you know."

Blake, who had been training in the corner, overheard and walked over with a raised eyebrow. "I don't know, Jaune. I'm sure we could come up with something... but it might be hard to keep up with Oscar's speed and Ruby's reflexes."

Ruby shot her a playful grin. "Hey, we all started somewhere. Besides, Jaune's always improving!"

Yang, who had entered the room with Weiss, overheard the conversation and smirked. "You know, we could probably have our own training session with combos, but with how competitive you guys are, it might turn into a full-on sparring match."

Oscar glanced at her with a grin. "You know, Yang, that doesn't sound like the worst idea."

Weiss, always the more practical one, crossed her arms. "Just make sure we aren't blowing up half the training room, alright?"

Ruby, now eager, turned to Jaune. "Alright, Jaune! How about it? Want to try coming up with a team-up move?"

Jaune grinned, "You're on, Ruby. Let's see what I can come up with."

Oscar smiled, watching them. "Alright, then. Let's make sure we all keep improving. Teamwork's key."

Ruby then looked at Jaune. "So wanna see a different one in action"

Nora them spoke. "Oh yes"

Ruby looked at Oscar and Weiss. "Oscar, Weiss Snowy Field".

Oscar and Weiss exchanged a glance, both nodding in understanding. Weiss drew her rapier, Myrtenaster, ready for the next move, while Oscar steadied himself.

Ruby grinned. "Alright, Snowy Field! Let's show them what we've got!"

Oscar quickly activated his Agility skill, his speed increased as he darted forward, jumping into the air to meet Ruby's outstretched hand. As they soared into the sky, Weiss raised her rapier, activating her semblance to summon a storm of icy winds and snowflakes that formed a whirlwind around them. Oscar created a Fire Ball in his hand, ready to use it as soon as they were in position.

Ruby twisted in mid-air, firing several shots from Crescent Rose as they spun, creating a dazzling display of red sparks amidst the falling snow. The frozen winds whipped around her, amplifying the force of the shots, creating a near blizzard effect.

Oscar, his hand glowing with energy, used the combined elemental forces of Wind Slash and Freeze Dry, sending icy gusts of wind and freezing mist toward their targets below, creating slick, slippery ice patches all over the battlefield. As the wind and ice combined, they slowed their enemies and disoriented them, leaving them vulnerable to follow-up attacks.

"Now!" Ruby shouted, and Oscar unleashed the Earth Spire, causing jagged spikes of ice and stone to erupt from the ground, trapping their targets in place. The sheer force and ice pressure were enough to keep any opponents trapped and struggling.

Weiss, with her characteristic grace, used her semblance to summon more snowstorms around their enemies, locking them into a small area. Her ice pillars emerged from the ground, blocking any escape routes, leaving their enemies unable to move.

Jaune, wide-eyed, was impressed. "That was... incredible. You guys really have this whole team move thing down."

Nora cheered from the side. "That was so cool! I've never seen something like that before!"

Ruby winked at Jaune. "That's the power of teamwork! When you combine our strengths, we can make even the worst weather our ally."

Weiss, brushing some snow off her coat, smirked. "And when it's properly executed, it's nearly unstoppable."

Oscar landed gracefully on the ground, his heart racing from the excitement. "Not bad, huh? This is just one of the combinations we've been working on."

Ruby gave him a thumbs-up. "Yep! And we've got even more team moves up our sleeves!"

Jaune looked at the ground for a second, then grinned. "Alright, I've gotta step up my game. I'm ready for our next training session."

Nora playfully nudged him. "Better get your combo skills in shape, Jaune. We're gonna show them what Team JNPR can do!"

Oscar looked around at the team, a feeling of camaraderie filling him. "Exactly. Together, we can do anything."

Blake then spoke looking at Team JNPR. "The Only Reason we can do these fusion moves with Oscar is because of his many power's".

Jaune looked as he spoke. "Dude your semblance his broke".

Oscar laughed, once again keeping up with the lie. "Yeah thanks".

Blake raised an eyebrow, crossing her arms. "No, seriously. You've got so many different abilities, it's like you can pull anything out of nowhere."

Oscar chuckled again, trying to hide his awkwardness. "Well, it's just a combination of practice and being... creative with the resources I have."

Weiss smirked, leaning on her rapier. "Creative, huh? More like 'overpowered,' if you ask me. You're basically a one-man army at this point."

Oscar scratched the back of his head. "I guess I have a lot of tools at my disposal, but it's not like I can do everything. I still need my team."

Blake nodded, her tail flicking slightly. "True, we all have our strengths. But it's a little crazy how you combine fire, water, earth, wind... and who knows what else." She shot him a sly smile. "You're like a walking elemental disaster."

Ruby piped up, clearly proud of her teammate. "Well, he is the best at making our team moves work! All those powers combined make us unstoppable when we all work together."

Jaune, still a bit stunned, just laughed. "I think we might need to start calling you Oscar the Overpowered instead."

Oscar rolled his eyes, a grin tugging at his lips. "Okay, okay, enough with the compliments. I don't want to get a big head." He gave a wink, trying to play it cool. "But I'll take the title if it makes you feel better."

Nora raised her hand. "Yeah! Oscar the Overpowered! I like the sound of that."

Ruby gave a thumbs-up. "It's official. We have a name for him now!"

Oscar couldn't help but laugh along, the team's camaraderie making everything feel just a little bit easier to handle, even with his powers constantly under scrutiny.

"So, what's next?" he asked, eager to move on from the teasing.

Blake smirked. "We're gonna train, of course. And maybe try not to destroy the whole training room this time."

Oscar shot her a mischievous look. "No promises."

The group then started too walk as once again Blake and Oscar was behind, as they looked at Eachother.

Blake looked as she spoke. "Any new dungeon key from your system"

Oscar sigehd as he pulled out the red Dungeon key from his Inventory, as he looked at her. "Nope just this one that leads me too another special Dungeon".

Blake looked at him as she spoke. "So where is it located".

Oscar sighed as he spoke. "Where the key is telling me too go so I can open the gate, oh no where particular just right at the top of Beacone Academy."

Blake raised an eyebrow, glancing up at the towering structure of Beacon Academy. "The top of Beacon? You're not serious, right? You can't be talking about a hidden dungeon on top of the school."

Oscar sighed, holding the key in front of him like it was both a blessing and a curse. "I wish I was kidding, but it looks like that's the next step for me. The key's glowing with the coordinates, and it's pointing right to the roof."

Blake gave him an incredulous look. "The roof? That's... a bit extreme, don't you think? You've been on wild adventures before, but the top of Beacon Academy?"

Oscar shrugged. "I don't have control over where these things pop up. It's like the system's sense of humor. Every time I think it's sending me to a normal spot, it throws a curveball."

Blake rolled her eyes but then gave him a thoughtful look. "You really think there's something special there? I mean, Beacon's been through a lot, but the roof isn't exactly a place for secret dungeons."

Oscar shrugged again, his fingers tracing the edges of the key. "I don't know. It could just be another challenge or test. Maybe I'll find out more when I get there. Or it could be a dead end like the last one."

Blake's expression softened a little. "I hope it's worth it. You've been through a lot with these dungeons, and sometimes I wonder if you're getting anything useful out of them."

Oscar smiled wryly. "Sometimes I wonder too. But who knows, maybe this one will be different. It's the kind of gamble I have to take."

Blake gave him a small nod. "Well, I'm coming with you. I'm not letting you face whatever's up there alone."

Oscar gave her a grateful look. "Thanks, Blake. I appreciate it."

Blake smirked, her usual cool composure back. "Just don't drag me into a trap, alright?"

"That's the plan," Oscar said, grinning.

As the two of them walked toward the entrance of Beacon, the rest of the team was ahead, blissfully unaware of the new adventure that awaited them atop the academy. Oscar felt a sense of unease, but it was a familiar feeling. After all, he'd dealt with worse.

And with Blake by his side, maybe—just maybe—this dungeon would turn out to be something worth all the trouble.

Blake looked as she spoke. "So what level an I at now".

Oscar checks her using his gamer system. "Level 40, that is improvement from when you were level 25".

Blake looked as she spoke. "That actually brings up my question, you level up by your dungeon, but how do we normal people level".

Oscar stopped as he thought. "I don't know, Actually System".

[Yes Host]

Oscar looked at the interfaces as he spoke. "I have a question".

The interface in front of Oscar blinked with a soft blue glow.

[What is your question, Host?]

Oscar looked at Blake, who was curiously watching him. "How do normal people level up? Not just me, but others too. How do they progress like I do with dungeons or my abilities?"

[System Accessing... Answer: Non-System Users level up through experience gained from training, combat, or significant life achievements. Their progress is largely dependent on their personal efforts, growth, and external guidance from mentors or teachers.]

Oscar blinked, trying to process the answer. "So, people like Blake or the rest of Team ROWBY level up through combat and experience, not through any kind of system-based mechanics like mine?"

[Correct, Host. They are bound by their physical and mental progress rather than a direct system that grants levels or rewards.]

Blake, who had been listening intently, frowned slightly. "So, it's just... training, combat, and experiences that would make us stronger? No system-level stuff like you?"

Oscar nodded slowly, still processing the implications. "It looks like it. I guess for non-System users, it's more about putting in the hard work over time, without a shortcut like my system offers."

Blake mulled that over. "Seems a bit more... real. Not that I'm complaining about your system, but I guess people have to rely on themselves more."

Oscar chuckled, rubbing the back of his head. "Yeah, but the system does have its perks, even if it's a bit strange sometimes."

Blake smiled softly. "I suppose. But I guess that means we're all on a similar path, huh? Whether it's through a system or pure hard work, we all have to grow and level up."

Oscar gave her a serious look. "You're right. And we'll do it together."

Blake nodded, her eyes gleaming with resolve. "Together."

Oscar turned back to the system interface. "Thanks, System. I guess the answer was simple, but I needed to hear it."

[You are welcome, Host.]

With the conversation winding down, Oscar and Blake continued walking toward the roof of Beacon. Whatever awaited them at the top, Oscar knew it was something that would test them both—through experience, growth, and strength. And with Blake by his side, he felt ready for whatever came next.
