Chapter 87 - Crude Drawing

They then hearn paper being ripped, as they saw Weiss took down another poster from trh wall as she throws in the trash as she walked away.

Oscar saw the paper was crude drawing of her, as had bad words mocking her on it. "Another one huh".

Blake frowned as she looked at the crumpled poster, her expression darkening. "Who would do something like this?"

Oscar clenched his fist for a moment, his voice steady but laced with frustration. "Whoever's behind this is a coward. Hiding behind cheap insults like that."

Blake glanced at him, then back at the poster. "It's not the first time, either. They've been doing this for a while now. Why don't they just leave her alone?"

Oscar shook his head. "Some people are just jealous. Or they think it's funny to tear someone down because they don't understand them." He looked over at Weiss, who had already gone back to whatever she was working on, trying to ignore the damage caused by the poster. "But she doesn't deserve it. No one does."

Blake sighed softly, her eyes narrowing. "I can't stand how some people think it's okay to just be cruel like that. Weiss... she doesn't deserve this."

Oscar took a deep breath, thinking for a moment before he turned to Blake. "You know, we don't have to stand by and do nothing. We could help her, stand up for her."

Blake nodded, her expression growing more determined. "You're right. It's time someone said something. Not just for Weiss, but for anyone who gets targeted like this."

Oscar looked up at the wall where the poster had been, the corner of his mouth twitching with a mix of anger and resolve. "I may not have the perfect solution, but if I find out who's behind this, I won't let them get away with it."

Blake smiled, her gaze unwavering. "Neither will I."

Ruby the spoke as she sigehd following after Weiss. "Hey Weiss cool down".

Yang slowes down hee step as she comes too Oscar and Blake side as she also sigehd. "This is what the 5th one this week".

Oscar correct her as he spoke. 6th, we first thought this was just a prank".

Blake crossed her arms, her tone serious as she spoke. "But it's clearly not. It's just cruel at this point. Whoever's doing this needs to be stopped."

Ruby caught up with Weiss, her voice soft but concerned. "Weiss, you don't need to let them get to you. You're amazing, and they're just... just jealous. That's all."

Weiss paused, her posture stiff but not turning to face Ruby. "I'm fine, Ruby. Just tired of this. Tired of them."

Oscar approached, his expression serious as he added, "It's not fair to you, Weiss. We're all here for you. And whoever's behind this, they won't get away with it."

Yang nodded, stepping in beside Blake and Oscar. "We've got your back, Weiss. It's time we put an end to this nonsense."

Blake looked at the others, then back to Weiss, her eyes narrowing. "We need to figure out who's doing this, and fast."

Ruby, still trying to comfort Weiss, gave her a small smile. "We won't let them win. We're a team. We've been through a lot worse than some stupid posters."

Weiss finally turned to face the group, her expression softening just a little. "Thanks... I just don't get it. Why me? Why are they targeting me like this?"

Oscar shrugged, his voice calm. "Some people find it easier to attack others when they think they won't fight back. But I'm not going to let anyone get away with it."

Yang added, "Not on our watch. Let's find out who's behind this and make them stop."

Blake looked at Oscar with a small nod. "I agree. No more hiding behind posters."

Oscar looked at her as he spoke. "Why don't you give your best guess".

Weiss thought for a bit as she spoke. "Maybe because of my... Father, probably that is the reason and the Rumours and horror storey about the SDC, that are way too true".

Oscar nodded thoughtfully, understanding the weight of Weiss's words. "That makes sense. People love to target what they don't understand, or what they think they can use to tear someone down."

Blake, her expression serious, added, "And your family's reputation, especially your father's, is probably just fuel to the fire. It's not fair, but it's a sad reality that some people feel the need to hurt others based on those kinds of assumptions."

Yang clenched her fists at her sides, her voice filled with frustration. "People can be idiots. It doesn't matter what the rumors say or what your father did. You're not him, Weiss. You've worked so hard to get where you are."

Weiss let out a small sigh, trying to hold back her frustration. "I know, Yang, but it's hard to ignore when it feels like the whole school is against you." She glanced down, her usual confident demeanor wavering for just a moment. "I didn't choose who my family is, or what my last name means."

Oscar stepped closer, placing a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "But you do choose who you are. You're not defined by your family. You're Weiss Schnee, a member of Team RWBY, and that's what matters. None of this is your fault."

Ruby nodded, her usual cheerfulness shining through even in the tough moment. "Yeah! And remember, the rumors are just that—rumors. We know the truth about you, and that's all that matters."

Blake added, "Exactly. No matter what anyone else says, we've got your back. Always."

Weiss looked at them all, her expression softening. "I appreciate it, really. I just wish... I wish things were different. But I know I'm not alone. Thank you, all of you."

Oscar smiled, giving her a nod. "We're all in this together, Weiss. We won't let this define you. We'll find out who's doing this and make sure it stops."

Ruby grinned, her enthusiasm returning. "That's right! No one messes with Team ROWBY!" She punched the air playfully.

Weiss's lips twitched into a small smile, the tension easing from her shoulders. "Thanks, guys. I guess it's time we figured out who's behind this and dealt with them."

Yang's eyes glinted with determination. "We'll handle it. No one hurts our teammate and gets away with it."

Oscar looked at her as he spoke. "So does Isaac know".

Weiss looked as she spoke. "No if I tell him, he getting the whole Team CRIM involved and knowing my cousin he will probably turn into Ursa Grimm just too track down that person".

Oscar chuckled softly at the thought, imagining Isaac's over-the-top reaction. "Yeah, I can see that. He seems like the type to go all out when someone messes with his family."

Weiss sighed, her eyes darkening a little. "Exactly. As much as I know he'd want to help, I just don't want to escalate it. The last thing I need is Team CRIM going full force over a few stupid posters."

Blake spoke up with a hint of concern. "It's good that you're looking out for everyone, Weiss, but you shouldn't have to carry this burden alone. If you want us to step in, we will."

Yang crossed her arms, her voice steady. "We don't need to call Isaac. We'll take care of this ourselves. We've got your back, Weiss, and we'll deal with whoever is behind this."

Oscar nodded in agreement, his gaze soft but firm. "We'll handle it quietly, without making things bigger than they need to be. The focus should be on stopping this, not causing more drama."

Weiss looked between all of them, gratitude in her eyes but also the weight of responsibility. "I appreciate it, all of you. But I'll be honest, I really don't want to drag my family into this more than they already are. It's enough that I've had to live with the consequences of my last name."

Ruby stepped forward with a determined grin. "You're more than just your last name, Weiss. Let's find this jerk and put an end to this once and for all!"

Weiss looked at her, a small smile tugging at the corner of her lips. "Thanks, Ruby. You're right. I can't keep letting this get to me."

Oscar smiled back, his tone lighthearted but sincere. "It's just a few posters, Weiss. We've faced much worse, right? We can definitely handle this."

Blake added, her voice calm and steady, "We'll get to the bottom of this, and we won't let anyone make you feel small because of who you are."

Weiss finally allowed herself to relax a little, the sense of weight lifting from her shoulders as she realized that with her team by her side, she didn't have to face this challenge alone. "Alright, let's do it. We'll figure out who's behind these posters and put a stop to it."

And with that, the team set their sights on a new mission—one that was more personal than any of them had expected, but one that they were more than ready to take on together.

Oscar then looked at her as he spoke. "But if I do see another poster like that Weiss, I am personally tracking that guy down".

Weiss blushed as bit as she looked at him. "Thanks".

Oscar gave her a reassuring smile, his tone light but with sincerity. "Hey, don't mention it. No one messes with our teammate and gets away with it."

Weiss looked at him, her cheeks still flushed slightly from the unexpected kindness, but she gave a small, genuine smile in return. "I really appreciate it, Oscar. You've done more for me than I ever expected."

Blake, who had been quiet for a moment, spoke up with a small grin. "Looks like someone's got a knight in shining armor."

Yang smirked, crossing her arms. "Better watch out, Weiss. You're gonna have a whole squad ready to defend you if this keeps up."

Ruby jumped in with her usual enthusiasm, "We'll make sure no one messes with you, Weiss! And we'll take care of everything together!"

Weiss, now slightly embarrassed but grateful, shook her head with a small laugh. "Alright, alright. I get it. You've all got my back. I just don't want to make a big deal out of it."

Oscar's expression softened, and he gave a small nod. "No big deal. Just making sure you know we're here for you. And if that means going all out to deal with this, we will."

Weiss looked at her team, each one of them showing genuine care for her well-being. It was more than just the typical team bond; it was something deeper. She felt a warmth in her chest, realizing how much she truly relied on them. "Thanks, everyone. I guess I've been trying to handle everything on my own for too long."

Yang smiled knowingly. "You're not alone anymore, Weiss. You never have to be."

Oscar's smile widened as he gave her a friendly nod. "Exactly. And don't worry about those posters anymore. We'll handle it."

Weiss, feeling a wave of gratitude wash over her, took a deep breath and smiled back. "Alright. Let's make sure no one ever forgets that the Schnee family has friends who will stand up for them."

Ruby grinned widely. "That's the spirit!"

And with that, the team's resolve was strengthened, knowing that whatever came next, they would face it together.

Later that day in Team ROWBY dorm room, as Oscar was making dinner for them, it happened

Ding!

[Secret Quest Compelet: Master Chief

Rewords: Skill golden hands have been unlocked]

Oscar just Blinked as he just mentally spoke. "Ok that is just pure random".

happened. "Ok, that is just pure random."

He shook his head and went back to stirring the pot on the stove, mentally running through the requirements for the quest. "Cook for a year? Stop Ruby from burning the kitchen? What the heck kind of quest is this?"

He glanced over at Ruby, who was currently bouncing around the kitchen in her usual energetic fashion, completely unaware of the potential chaos she was about to cause. Oscar sighed. "I can already tell how that's gonna go down."

Blake, who had been sitting at the table reading a book, looked up at Oscar and raised an eyebrow. "Something up, Oscar?"

"Yeah, I just got a random quest notification from my system," Oscar muttered, still processing it all. "Apparently, I've completed a bunch of cooking-related tasks without even realizing it, and now I have a new skill."

Blake looked as she spoke. "And you got a skill for it".

Oscar looker at her. "Yeah pretty much".

Blake looked as she spoke. "Ok, now do you wanna speak any louder so that Ruby, Weiss and Yang also know about your game system".

Oscar lowered his voice as he spoke. "Yeah nope, I will check the skill later, let's just take the food to the table".

Oscar continued stirring the pot, his mind still reeling from the unexpected quest and skill he had unlocked. He could hear Ruby's laughter and Yang's voice from the other room, and he mentally prepared himself for whatever was about to unfold. He turned off the stove and began setting the table, trying to push aside the random quest and focus on what mattered—feeding his teammates.

"Okay, dinner's ready," Oscar called out, his voice a little louder now that he was sure Ruby and Yang were within earshot.

Ruby came rushing into the kitchen with her usual enthusiasm, a grin plastered on her face. "Yay! I'm starving!"

Yang followed closely behind, stretching with a dramatic yawn. "This better be good, Oscar. I've been working out all day."

Weiss entered last, adjusting her hair and walking over to the table, her usual composed self. "I hope you've managed to make something edible this time."

Oscar chuckled softly. "Hey, I haven't burned the kitchen down yet. That's a win in my book."

Ruby immediately started digging into the food as she spoke through a mouthful, "Mmm, this is great! What's the secret, Oscar? Did you actually figure out how to make this without setting the kitchen on fire?"

Oscar sighed and sat down at the table, glancing at Blake for support. She raised an eyebrow, clearly not fooled by Ruby's usual antics. "It's actually pretty good, Ruby. I think he's finally gotten the hang of it."

Yang laughed, nudging Oscar playfully. "I'd say we're officially a team now, Oscar. You've cooked us all dinner, and no one's been poisoned yet."

Oscar just smiled, his thoughts drifting back to the skill he'd unlocked. It seemed like a strange, almost unnecessary quest. But the skill itself, Golden Hands, sounded useful. Maybe it would make his cooking even better. He'd have to experiment more with it.

"I'm glad you like it," Oscar said, his tone slightly distracted as he pushed the thoughts aside. "Let's just enjoy the meal for now."

Blake nodded in agreement, taking a bite of her food. "We all deserve a break. It's been a long day."

Weiss, who was usually the most composed, allowed herself a rare smile as she ate. "This is surprisingly good, Oscar. You might just have a future in the culinary arts."

Oscar grinned, feeling a little proud. "Guess I'll take that as a compliment."

As the meal continued, the atmosphere around the table was warm and relaxed, a rare moment of peace for Team RWBY. Even Ruby had slowed down, savoring the food instead of rushing through it. It was moments like these that made all the chaos worth it. And as Oscar glanced at his teammates, he realized that no matter how random or strange the quests might get, this was where he belonged.

Later, after dinner, Oscar took a moment to check the Golden Hands skill. As he did, a small menu popped up in his vision:

[Golden Hands

Effect: Increases cooking ability, allowing the user to prepare meals with improved taste, speed, and skill. Enhances the ability to prepare dishes for large groups and provides the user with intuitive knowledge of various cooking techniques. Cooking-related tasks will be completed with 50% increased efficiency and satisfaction.]

Oscar blinked as he read through it, nodding to himself. "Alright... This could be useful."

He felt a sense of pride. Even if the quest had been random, it was still another step forward in his journey, and he couldn't wait to put his new skill to the test.

After that as Blake and Oscar were watching trh plate he explains the skill to her. "And that is everything about that skill"

Blake just looked at him with a deadpan face. "You have too be kidding me, you are already the best cook in Beacon, putting the actual guy making lunch for Beacon students to shame and now you get this, I call Hax".

Oscar chuckled at Blake's reaction, shaking his head. "Hey, I didn't ask for it, alright? It just kind of... happened. I was just trying to make sure Ruby didn't burn down the kitchen."

Blake leaned back, crossing her arms as she raised an eyebrow. "So, what, you're telling me you get a skill for something as random as cooking?" She paused for a moment, glancing at him skeptically. "And you're already this good? Seriously?"

Oscar smirked, a little embarrassed. "Yeah, I guess it's kind of ridiculous, but I'm not complaining. Honestly, I just want to keep cooking for all of you. It feels... nice."

Blake's expression softened slightly, but she still wore that deadpan look. "Well, I guess if you're going to be that good at it, at least it's a useful skill. But I swear, the next time someone gets a random system skill like this, I'm demanding a better explanation. 'Cause this is getting out of hand."

Oscar laughed softly, looking over at her with a grin. "Yeah, well, I'll take being the best cook in Beacon, even if it's a little... hax."

Blake rolled her eyes but couldn't suppress a small smile. "At least it keeps you out of trouble. Though I'm still gonna call it suspicious."

Oscar shrugged. "You can call it whatever you want, but just know, I'm totally taking credit for all future team meals."

"Fine," Blake said with a small chuckle. "I guess you are our official chef now. But just don't get too cocky. I'll be keeping an eye on you, Golden Hands."

"Don't worry," Oscar replied with a grin. "I'll make sure you get the best food every time."

Blake shook her head, but there was a hint of amusement in her eyes as she turned her attention back to the plate. "I suppose that's a fair trade-off. Just remember, don't let the fame get to your head."

Oscar smiled, feeling a little more at ease. "I won't, I promise."

As they both finished cleaning the dishes, Oscar couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction—both from the food and from the skill he'd gained. Maybe it was random, and maybe it was a bit overpowered, but he was going to make the most of it. And if it meant making life a little easier for his friends, then that was more than enough for him.
