Chapter 92: Pampering Disciple with Strength
Ye Feng didn't continue talking to Ning Fengzhi and instead walked over to Xue Qinghe.
"Your Highness, are there any bandits around Tiandou City?"
"Tiandou City is the capital of the Tiandou Empire. There aren't any thieves in the surrounding mountains, but about 400 kilometers away, there are wolf bandits roaming around. Why do you ask?"
"Give me the locations where they might be, and I'll take care of them. What do you think?"
"You're willing to help?"
Xue Qinghe looked at Ye Feng in surprise. The wolf bandits were notorious for their brutality, and he hadn't expected Ye Feng to take the initiative to wipe them out.
"Yeah." Ye Feng nodded.
"I have a few reports in my study detailing the villages destroyed by the wolf bandits. When I return, I'll have someone deliver them to you," Xue Qinghe said with a smile.
"Your Highness, how much does the government pay for eliminating the wolf bandits?" Flanders' eyes lit up as he rubbed his hands together.
"Once you bring back their heads as proof, you'll naturally receive the corresponding rewards," Xue Qinghe assured.
"Dean, are you really that short on money?" Zhao Wuji asked.
"Heh, who in their right mind would complain about having too much money?" Flanders grinned smugly, adjusting his glasses.
"Alright, it's getting late. I won't take up any more of your time. Rongrong, Ye Feng, I'll visit you again soon," Ning Fengzhi said.
As Ning Fengzhi, Xue Qinghe, and Chen Xin left, Yu Xiaogang finally understood what Ye Feng meant earlier.
Before, Yu Xiaogang had pointed out that while the Shrek team had enough combat experience, they still lacked true courage. Ye Feng had responded that their training would begin once the person he was waiting for arrived. Now, it was clear—Ye Feng had anticipated Xue Qinghe's visit to Shrek Academy. And as for the so-called training? It was the mission to eliminate the wolf bandits.
Originally, Yu Xiaogang had planned to take the students to Tiandou City and have them fight a brutal team in the arena. But Ye Feng had chosen a far better alternative—bandit suppression. Yu Xiaogang had to admit that Ye Feng's plan had more benefits.
Tang San noticed his teacher's expression and asked, "Teacher, what's wrong?"
"Xiao San… am I really unnecessary?" Yu Xiaogang muttered.
"Teacher, how could you be unnecessary? Without your guidance, I wouldn't have mastered my control over the Blue Silver Grass."

As the sun set and the sky darkened, Chen Xin returned.
This time, he had come alone. Behind him, three enormous carriages followed, each carrying a massive cage. Within each cage lay a sleeping spirit beast. Beside each carriage stood ten disciples of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect.
Chen Xin didn't say much. He simply summoned his Seven Killing Sword, and for a brief moment, the silver blade hummed in the air before he withdrew it.
Soon, the teachers and students of Shrek Academy gathered at the mountain gate, staring curiously at the scene before them.
"Master, were you looking for me?" Ye Feng asked.
Chen Xin nodded. "Disciple, it's time for you to obtain spirit rings for your Xuanyuan Sword spirit."
"Spirit rings?" Ye Feng was momentarily stunned.
Tang San examined the cages, recognizing the spirit beasts inside. One by one, he named them.
"Earthshaker Dragon."
"One-Horned Thunder Horse."
"Ten Thousand Needle Silver Hedgehog."
The Earthshaker Dragon was said to carry a trace of dragon blood. It was massive, slow-moving, but its sheer strength could shake mountains.
The One-Horned Thunder Horse had a silver horn on its head, resembling an ordinary horse but moving at ten times the speed. Its horn could unleash lightning bolts, making it extremely difficult to capture.
The Ten Thousand Needle Silver Hedgehog looked like an oversized hedgehog, covered in long silver spikes. The shocking part was that it could fire those spikes like projectiles. Normally, a thousand-year-old Silver Hedgehog would be the size of a pig, but this one was the size of an elephant.
Tang San's eyes widened in disbelief. All three of these spirit beasts had one thing in common—they were over ten thousand years old.
Chen Xin urged again, "Disciple, don't just stand there. Kill them before they wake up and absorb their spirit rings."
Ma Hongjun's jaw nearly dropped. "Your Majesty, you mean these spirit beasts are for Boss Ye?"
"Who else would they be for?" Chen Xin replied indifferently.
"Damn… Boss Ye, you've got a hell of a teacher! He personally captured these spirit beasts and brought them to you. He's not like Tang San's teacher, who only teaches useless theories. Damn, maybe I should ask His Majesty if he wants another disciple?" Ma Hongjun whispered in envy.
Ye Feng smirked and patted Ma Hongjun on the shoulder. "Fatty, I'm just warning you now—don't forget, your teacher is the dean."
"...Shit!"
Ma Hongjun froze, then slapped his own forehead. "Damn, I was so envious I forgot I already have a master!"
In the world of spirit masters, taking more than one master was considered a betrayal, and Ma Hongjun knew better. He was stuck with Flanders for life.
Tang San overheard their conversation, and a complicated look crossed his face.
His teacher, Yu Xiaogang, had indeed taught him invaluable theories… but that was all he could offer.
Meanwhile, Ye Feng had a master like Chen Xin, who personally caught top-tier spirit beasts for him.
Tang San couldn't help but feel envious.
Chen Xin broke the silence, "Disciple, start absorbing spirit rings. Begin with the Earthshaker Dragon—it has lived for twenty thousand years."
Ye Feng frowned slightly. "Master, how did you even capture them and transport them here?"
"The Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect is as wealthy as an empire. Money makes the world go round. Finding and capturing a few spirit beasts isn't a problem. These ones were sedated with a special potion—costly, but effective. Enough talk, get started."
"Got it."
Ye Feng approached the Earthshaker Dragon's cage, pulling out a sharp dagger. Without hesitation, he slashed its throat.
The Earthshaker Dragon jolted awake from the pain, blood gushing from its neck. It struggled for a few moments before collapsing, lifeless.
A black spirit ring emerged from its body, floating in the air.
Ye Feng focused, forming hand seals as he prepared to absorb it.
