Chapter 104: Academy Chief
Ye Feng raised his head and looked at the three young men standing in front of him. The leader looked to be around 20 years old, with light red hair, a strong build, and a handsome face. He carried himself with an air of strength and arrogance.
"Rules? What rules?" Ye Feng asked, raising an eyebrow.
"You seriously don't know? No one is allowed to sit next to Xiao Wu. Who gave you permission to sit here?" The young man glared at Ye Feng, his tone full of hostility.
Xiao Wu, sensing that Ye Feng might misunderstand, quickly stood up and pointed at the young man, scolding him, "Are you guys seriously still at this? Get lost already! I made it crystal clear yesterday that I have zero interest in you."
"Xiao Wu, feelings can be developed over time," the young man said, rubbing the back of his head with an awkward smile.
Ye Feng turned to Xiao Wu. "What's this about?"
"Brother, yesterday when I went out alone to buy some daily necessities, I ran into him. He said he fell in love with me at first sight and begged for a chance to pursue me. I made it clear I wasn't interested, but he just keeps following me around like a damn lost puppy." Xiao Wu huffed, looking frustrated.
"Oh, so that's how it is." Ye Feng nodded in understanding.
Xiao Wu was only 12 or 13, but her body had developed well, making her look more like a 16 or 17-year-old girl. With her slim waist, long legs, and cute face, it was no surprise that she attracted attention.
Ye Feng glanced at the young man. If he wasn't mistaken, this guy had to be Tai Long from the Power Clan.
"Hmph."
Tai Long crossed his arms over his chest, looking down at Ye Feng with an air of superiority. "I could let you off the hook, but don't get the wrong idea—I'm not scared of you. Do you even know who I am? I'm the chief of the academy!"
"Chief of the academy?" Ye Feng chuckled.
"Where the hell did this country bumpkin come from? He doesn't even know who the chief is. The chief is the strongest in the entire academy," one of Tai Long's followers chimed in, trying to explain.
Tai Long smirked and held up two fingers. "You got two options, kid. One, challenge me to a one-on-one fight. If you beat me, I'll admit you're qualified to sit here. Two, get your ass up and move somewhere else."
"A one-on-one duel? Do we really need to go that far?" Ye Feng asked, amusement clear in his tone.
"Hahaha, are you scared? If you are, just move your ass," Tai Long taunted.
"I mean, yeah, I am kinda scared." Ye Feng rubbed his chin, looking at Tai Long seriously. "Scared I might accidentally kill you. Then your family might come after me for revenge."
Tai Long's face darkened. "Oh, you cocky bastard. Fine! A duel it is! And to be fair, I won't even use my third spirit skill. Wouldn't want you crying about me bullying you."
Ma Hongjun, Oscar, and the others all shook their heads. They sighed, knowing Tai Long had just sealed his own fate. Even Tang San and Xiao Wu wouldn't dare challenge Ye Feng alone. Tai Long was walking straight into a beating.
"Go ahead, brother," Xiao Wu said with excitement in her eyes.
She wanted everyone to know she was Ye Feng's girlfriend.
Tai Long stepped forward, his spirit power surging as a massive shadow of an orangutan appeared behind him. Three spirit rings—two yellow and one purple—rose at his feet. He puffed out his chest and proudly announced, "Tai Long, martial spirit: Powerful Orangutan! Level 37 Strength-type Battle Spirit Master! Now, teach me a lesson if you dare!"
Ye Feng smirked and raised his left hand. With a single thought, five spirit rings materialized beneath him—two yellow, one purple, and two black. "Ye Feng, martial spirit: Nine Hearts Mysterious Tang. Level 59 Control and Support Dual-type Battle Spirit King."
"What?! Spirit King?!"
Tai Long's eyes widened in pure disbelief.
He wanted to argue, but he couldn't. The five spirit rings at Ye Feng's feet didn't lie. And that fourth ring—ten thousand years old—was far beyond the norm.
"You..." Tai Long was at a complete loss for words.
"Something wrong?" Ye Feng asked, his grin widening.
Tai Long felt panic creeping up his spine. A Spirit King, a Control-type no less, was completely out of his league. He swallowed hard. At that moment, Tai Long realized he was in deep shit.
"Are you thinking that my spirit power is too high, my spirit rings are too good, and that it would be unfair to fight me?" Ye Feng teased.
Tai Long remained silent, but his clenched fists and the twitching corner of his mouth made it obvious that was exactly what he was thinking.
"Yeah, I get it. You're only level 37, and you only have three spirit rings. I've got five. That's definitely unfair for you," Ye Feng continued, smirking.
Then, as if making a huge concession, Ye Feng withdrew his Nine Hearts Mysterious Tang. Instead, three black spirit rings reappeared at his feet. With a flash of golden light, a magnificent golden sword materialized in his grip.
"Twin martial spirits?!"
Gasps echoed throughout the classroom.
The only known Twin Spirit Master in the world was the Pope of Spirit Hall. And now, right in front of them, a second one had appeared!
"All three spirit rings are ten-thousand-year rings," Tai Long muttered, his face pale.
Tai Long was no fool. He knew Ye Feng was showing off. Flashing his twin spirits and their absurdly high-quality spirit rings right in his face—this wasn't just a flex, this was full-on humiliation.
"Yeah," Ye Feng said casually. "All the spirit rings of my Xuanyuan Sword spirit are ten thousand years old. Kinda overkill, huh?"
Tai Long: "…"
The veins on Tai Long's forehead bulged as he clenched his fists tighter. He had never been humiliated like this before, but what could he do? He had no chance against a Spirit King, let alone one with twin spirits!
"You know what? Forget it. I won't use my martial spirit," Ye Feng said suddenly.
"You—what?" Tai Long blinked in confusion.
"Yeah. If I used it, that would be bullying. You know what? I won't even use my spirit power."
"What?! You won't even use your spirit power?!"
"Nope. No martial spirit, no spirit power. Just a good old-fashioned one-on-one fistfight."
"Are you sure about this?" Tai Long growled, his pride stinging.
"Yep. 100% sure," Ye Feng said, completely unfazed.
"You son of a—!"
Tai Long snapped. His hands clenched into fists, his whole body trembling with rage. Ye Feng had humiliated him beyond reason.
"That's it! You're dead!" Tai Long roared.
He lunged forward, his powerful fists swinging toward Ye Feng with full force. He had activated his second spirit skill, using the combined power of his body weight and impact to crush Ye Feng in one devastating blow.
