Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: Lauren horror

Kaal left the room after giving instructions to a nearby servant for General Ruke's treatment. Noticing the blood on his robe, he decided to visit Mia and Jane.

As he approached their room, he heard Mia's voice from inside.

"Young master looks even more handsome after getting injured, don't you think, big sis?"

"That's not true! Young master always looks handsome..." Jane replied, her ears turning red.

Mia giggled and said, "It's true that he's always been handsome, but now it's even more so. And yesterday, when he took a bath… his body looked so refined…"

As Mia spoke, an image of Kaal's half-naked body sitting in the bathing pool flashed through Jane's mind. Her entire face turned bright red, making her mature beauty even more captivating.

"D-Don't talk nonsense..." Jane stammered.

Outside, a smile appeared on Kaal's face. Which man wouldn't be happy hearing girls talk about how handsome he is? he thought. Deliberately, he made the sound of footsteps.

Hearing the steps, Jane and Mia stopped talking and rushed to the door. When Kaal entered, he found them standing professionally, like well-trained maids.

"Jane, pack my things—we're returning to the clan. Mia, bring me a new robe," Kaal said with a small smile.

"Young master, we've already packed everything," Jane replied with a professional smile. When it came to anticipating Kaal's needs, no one could beat her.

In another room, Lauren was practicing the secret clan technique, , her face lit with excitement. After completing a full set of movements, she wiped away her sweat using Qi.

"It's amazing… just one day of practice and my Qi circulation has already improved. I wonder how strong Kaal and Samrat are since they've practiced this since childhood…"

Two hours later, Kaal, Jane, Mia, and Lauren boarded the spirit ship along with Elder Alvin and the Kilvish Clan warriors who had accompanied him. As the ship soared into the sky, the trees below blurred into streaks of green. They soon left Mist Valley behind. Below, the vast Death Forest stretched out endlessly, even from their high vantage point. Hours passed as lakes, mountains, cities, forests, and clouds drifted by.

Inside the spirit ship, in his room, Kaal was practicing the {Myriad of Thousand Demon Body} technique. Moments later, he stopped and rose from his lotus position.

"My body strength has increased a lot… I'll need a sparring match to gain full control over it," he said to himself.

The training room inside the spirit ship is perfect for that, Kaal thought. Thanks to the formation array, I can go all out. He began walking toward the training hall.

Jane and Mia were standing guard outside his room. When they saw Kaal heading toward the training hall, they followed silently, like the perfect attendants they were.

Upon reaching the room, they saw a teenage boy with brown hair and eyes, a sly, fox-like expression on his face. Lauren was practicing movement techniques with her sword—the movements sharp, swift, and unpredictable. She could travel several meters in a blink and return to her original position. But there was still some clumsiness in her steps. The flow wasn't natural yet, and with focus, one could still trace her movement path.

Kaal recognized it as the Shadow Void Movement Art. Drawing his sword from his storage ring, he channeled power into his legs and dashed forward, predicting the path of Lauren's sword. With precise timing, he blocked the strike.

Ding! The sound of clashing metal echoed in the room, catching Lauren's attention.

"Young master!" she exclaimed in surprise, seeing Kaal parrying her attack.

Without replying, Kaal took a step back and countered with a stab toward Lauren's shoulder. She blocked it, realizing that Kaal wanted a sparring match.

"Young master, if you want to spar, then I have one request," Lauren said. "Please use your full strength. I don't want a half-hearted match."

"You stole my line," Kaal replied with a smile. He also wanted to test his newfound strength.

Jane and Mia stood silently in the corner, careful not to interrupt.

Lauren's face lit up with excitement, but she soon calmed herself. She knew the gap between Rank 2 and Rank 3 warriors wasn't something easily overcome. But Kaal, noticing her slight hesitation, smiled and said,

"Don't worry. I won't use the full strength of a Rank 3 warrior," he said, laughing.

Some time later, Kaal exited the training hall with Jane and Mia, an excited expression on his face. He had just discovered one of the hidden powers of the Green Bead Seed soul treasure.

Back in the training room, Lauren was kneeling on the ground, her face pale with disbelief.

"I-It's impossible… How can such a monster exist in this world?"

Her mind couldn't comprehend what she had just witnessed. The sheer force behind Kaal's attacks was something even a typical Rank 3 warrior couldn't muster. His sword aura… that was something only achievable at the Foundation Realm. How could Kaal use it?

But the most terrifying part wasn't his strength—it was the way Kaal always knew where she would strike. No matter how much she changed her attack pattern, he reacted as if he had seen the future itself.

"Everyone thinks that Samrat Kilvish is on the same level as Kaal… but they're wrong," Lauren muttered. "They all underestimate him. This monster… he's more dangerous and far stronger than even Samrat Kilvish."

Let me know if you'd like to continue with Kaal's return to the Kilvish Clan, the next encounter with Samrat, or something mysterious from Bella Darwin's side!
