The Alchemy Guild works similarly to the Adventurer's Guild. Like there were monster-hunting quests or resource-gathering quests at the adventurer guild, there are also quests posted here but they are all potion-making quests.
From what I heard, there was no need to post for herbs or monster parts here. The guild would provide those as long as you have the money. Of course, they don't grow them, at least not all of them. They would post the quests at the adventurer guild.
Many of the recurring quests are courtesy of the alchemy guild or other organizations that need them.
So, the quests are to submit potions that one made through alchemy and nothing else.
