The shockwave sent him spiraling off course, pain and surprise contorting his monstrous features.

His mind raced to comprehend what had just happened.
He hadn't seen Julian prepare a spell. Not even a single word of incantation or flicker of movement—nothing that should have been possible.

He snarled, rage mixing with disbelief as he struggled to regain control.
-How could someone cast without a name? Without a chant?
Julian's silhouette closed in with relentless speed, red eyes locked onto Kyran with the intent to kill.
The realization hit Kyran like another bullet.
