"The Plate is broken!"
Irida's shout was filled with hope. If they could destroy the remaining two, maybe—just maybe—this towering titan would finally stop moving!
"Don't let your guard down! There are still two left, and breaking that first one only seems to be making it more dangerous!" Summer warned.
Regigigas' glowing red markings flared with rage. Letting out a thunderous roar, it raised both arms and fired two searing beams of energy.
Summer's warning had kept them on edge, so the moment the attacks came, the three of them dove to the side. Behind them, the lake erupted in a massive explosion, sending towering plumes of water skyward.
"That would've erased us from existence," Rei muttered, still on his knees in the snow, sweat dripping down his forehead.
"Obviously! Summer, what's next?" Irida asked, eyes locked on him.
"The Icicle Plate is easy to deal with, so we'll take down the Iron Plate first!"
Hearing Summer's answer, Irida nodded. "Got it. That means I just have to spam Ice moves, right? Glaceon!"
"We'll help too—Milotic!"
"Yeah, we can't just sit this out. Mr. Mime, Icy Wind!"
Three successive Ice-type attacks forced the Icicle Plate into activation, dimming its glow. Now, only the Iron Plate was left protecting Regigigas.
"Ogerpon, can you still Terastallize?" Summer asked.
"Bon!"
Of course! Ogerpon had been charging up on the sidelines—she was ready to fight!
"Good. Irida, Rei—this time, we hit it with Fire, Fighting, and Ground moves!"
"Understood!" They answered in unison.
"Pikachu, Aura Sphere!"
"Pika!"
A blazing blue sphere of energy formed in Pikachu's tiny paws before it hurled it forward, striking Regigigas in the chest. A violent explosion shook the battlefield, making the titan stagger.
"Now, Rillaboom—High Horsepower!"
"You too, Flareon—Flare Blitz!"
Rillaboom slammed its fists onto the ground, channeling earth-shaking power as it crashed into Regigigas' right leg, while Flareon, engulfed in roaring flames, rammed into its left.
The double impact sent tremors through its massive body, and Regigigas, unable to keep its balance, let out a furious bellow.
"This is it! Greavard, Thorned Maul!"
"GAOOO!"
Greavard let out a fierce war cry, gripping its thorn-covered club tightly.
Golden Tera energy erupted from its body as the Hearthflame Mask broke free from the crystallization, igniting in fierce, spiraling flames. The sheer heat radiating from the mask made the frigid air feel scorching hot.
"What… Summer, how many incredible powers do you even have?" Irida was speechless.
"No matter how many times I see it, it's still shocking," Rei agreed, eyes wide.
Seeing what was coming, Rillaboom wisely backed away. Even though Flareon had Flash Fire, it also made the same decision, knowing its ability would weaken the attack rather than strengthen it.
"GAOOO!"
Greavard swung its blazing Thorned Maul downward, slamming it onto Regigigas' head. Scorching flames erupted, melting the snow around them instantly. The Iron Plate shattered in the impact.
Metallic energy burst into the air—the second Plate had been destroyed!
"Yes!" Irida cheered, eyes gleaming. "Summer, what now?!"
"Simple—just hit it with everything you've got! Anything except Ice moves! Fire, Fighting, Steel, Rock—whatever you have!"
"Got it! Everyone, go all out!"
"Pikachu, Mr. Mime—let's end this!" Rei called.
Regigigas, still reeling from its loss, tried to lash out in blind fury, but the relentless onslaught of attacks left it no room to counter.
The endless barrage of powerful moves overwhelmed its final Plate. The Icicle Plate let out a faint glow before shattering completely, sending icy energy dispersing into the air.
The third Plate had been destroyed!
"We did it!" Irida threw her arms up in victory, beaming. "We protected Snowpoint Village!"
Regigigas staggered, its movements slowing… then, its entire body turned ashen, its once-bright colors dulling.
But just as they were about to let their guard down—
Its markings flashed an intense, blinding red.
Regigigas suddenly broke free from its paralysis, its power skyrocketing in an instant.
"The Slow Start… is over!"
Summer's heart dropped. A fully unleashed Regigigas was an entirely different beast.
The air around it shook from the sheer force of its presence, the ground beneath them splitting apart.
Then, it bent its massive frame low, one arm bracing its chest, one foot stomping down—preparing to charge.
"That's—Giga Impact!" Rei recognized the move immediately. "There's no room to dodge—this is bad!"
They had only one option.
"Rillaboom, we're stopping it right here!"
Summer switched his Z-Crystal again—this time, fitting in a Ground-type Z-Crystal.
He shouldn't have been able to use another Z-Move so soon. But there was no time to care about that now.
"Heaven-Trembling Earthshaker End!"
The moment Summer transferred his strength into Rillaboom, his vision blurred. A wave of dizziness hit him like a hammer, his entire body weakening as he collapsed onto one knee in the snow, his forehead drenched in sweat.
Even so, his eyes never left Regigigas.
Block it, Rillaboom!
"ROOOOAR!"
Feeling Summer's unyielding determination, Rillaboom roared, slamming its fists onto the ground.
A deep, jagged fissure split open beneath Regigigas' feet, and before it could charge—it fell in.
Rillaboom leaped into the chasm, maneuvering through the shifting terrain using the overwhelming power of the land itself.
Beneath the earth, Regigigas' glow intensified—it was preparing a Hyper Beam!
Not a chance.
Rillaboom accelerated, appearing directly beneath the titan. Gathering all its power into one fist, it punched upward, launching Regigigas skyward with the force of the entire continent beneath it.
Rillaboom shot out of the fissure, and a moment later—a volcanic explosion erupted from the ground, sending Regigigas tumbling through the sky.
It crashed down, its body hunched over, motionless.
"Did… did we win?" Rei muttered, relief creeping into his voice.
"Just stop moving… Just stay down," Irida whispered, barely daring to breathe.
Then—
"GUGAAAAH!"
Regigigas' markings flashed again, its terrifying aura surging back to life.
"THIS ISN'T FAIR!" Irida cried in frustration. "HOW IS IT STILL STANDING?! Summer nearly passed out stopping it!"
She wasn't going to let this go on.
"Everyone, we're not backing down! We'll stop it this time!"
But before she could command another attack, the ground trembled—far more violently than before.
This wasn't Regigigas' doing.
A sharp, noble cry pierced the air.
From the skies, a massive flock of Hisuian Braviary descended, led by an enormous one at the forefront.
And below them, a giant, towering Hisuian Avalugg was marching across the tundra, heading straight for the battlefield.
Irida's breath caught in her throat.
"It's the Lord of the Tundra! And the King of the Skies!"
Help had arrived.
