"Are you in there?" Nora turned to look at the door. Alric was standing with a look of concern on his face again. She knew that she was worrying him. But the chains were so strong that she could not get rid of them. Even when she was being suffocated to death. She was welcoming this pain.
"Yes, I was just… studying." Alric stared at the book Nora was holding with a smile before nodding.
Nora looked at the book and realized she had already given an economics exam yesterday. She forgot to change the book.
She watched as Alric came in and sat on the chair beside her bed. His eyes staring at the books and then moving to her face in the end.
"You seem too worried about exams. If you need any help, I can teach you. I was good at my studies." She was too. And he knew that! But he was playing the game alone and still wanted to help her with whatever demons she was facing.
Nora closed the book in her hands and sighed.
