Chapter 286 - Chapter 286: Gaia's Madness: Triggering Reincarnation in the Mythical World and Limitless Restarts for Transcendence

Gaia had made extensive preparations. In fact, Pontus was just one of the many backup plans she had put in place. This was why Hestia found it so easy to obtain the Book of Memory from Mnemosyne.

"Reincarnation."

Hades contemplated for a moment, piecing together what he knew, and calmly said, "She intends to manipulate reincarnation, to control the entire cycle of reincarnation within the Mythical World."

"Or rather..."

"She plans to use the Mythical World to initiate reincarnation and trigger an unlimited reset."

Hades's voice was soft and calm, but the implications of his words were enough to shake all the gods. This was no joke. If such a thing were publicly announced, it would send the entire Mythical World into turmoil. What did this mean? What kind of situation was this? Just the mere thought of it was terrifying.

And if this plan were to become reality...

Without a doubt, the entire Mythical World would be thrown into chaos.

Reincarnation!

The cycle of rebirth!

This was something no god wanted to experience. Even though they might face eventual death, their lives were nearly infinite. In the future, if they obediently followed the rules, they could live until the day the Mythical World itself perished.

But what if reincarnation reset everything? They would no longer be themselves. If that truly happened, the damage to the entire Mythical World would be unparalleled.

However.

In Hades's eyes, Gaia's plans, along with Pontus's schemes, clearly aimed to reset the entire Mythical World through reincarnation.

"..."

Erebus and Nyx fell silent for a moment.

Clearly.

Even this ancient god couple had not anticipated that Hades would so easily grasp the core of the issue.

Did Erebus and Nyx know about Gaia's plans?

They knew a little.

But not much.

This wasn't surprising. Gaia's plan was so extreme that she wouldn't have openly discussed it, even with her closest allies. She simply laid down one backup plan after another, using these means to slowly orchestrate her scheme.

If reincarnation could be avoided, that would obviously be the best outcome. But if it were triggered, everything except Gaia's careful preparations would be reset to the moment the Mythical World was first born.

If it truly came to that...

Gaia knew.

She would be making enemies of the entire Mythical World. If that were the case, even though Gaia was the most powerful being in the Mythical World, capable of facing all the gods alone, and even the Mythical World itself, she would still lose.

For this reason.

Gaia kept most of her plans hidden. Pontus and Mnemosyne were just two of the gods involved, but even they didn't know the full scope of Gaia's actions.

Pontus's motivations were simple. He wanted to eliminate all gods from the second generation onward, returning the Mythical World to the era of Ancient Gods.

But reincarnation and reset? That wasn't his goal.

Clearly!

Pontus only knew part of the plan. Or rather, he was just one piece of it. The true plan? There were other gods, other contingencies that Gaia had prepared.

At this moment, Hades, Erebus, and Nyx—one God-King and two Ancient Gods—fell into a deep silence. The three gods had all pieced together something, or at least suspected. They only needed to compare notes to confirm whether Gaia's plan was real and if this was indeed what she intended.

"..."

After a brief silence, Erebus spoke slowly, "Hades, there are some things you shouldn't investigate or think too deeply about. If you do, it will lead to trouble."

Erebus's meaning was clear.

Knowing something doesn't mean you should act on it. Don't provoke Gaia—it wouldn't end well.

As the Creator God of the Greek Pantheon and the Mythical World, Gaia was an overwhelmingly powerful figure. The threat she posed was simply too terrifying.

Some things.

Once known, should be left alone. If you dig deeper or pursue it further, it will only lead to disaster.

Hades quietly responded, "I understand. There are some things that are best left unspoken. If we delve deeper, the consequences could be dire."

Hades understood this well.

Gaia's plan was terrifying. Hades was also very clear on his own position—he wasn't a match for Gaia.

Or rather!

In the Mythical World, unless all the gods united, no single deity could stand against Gaia.

This was an undeniable fact.

As the Creator God of the Mythical World, Gaia had long been searching for an opportunity to transcend and become a true Absolute God, but this path was exceedingly difficult.

And!

The key issue was that Gaia wasn't alone—there were other versions of Gaia. Typically, no matter the version, Gaia was always a supreme being.

For this reason.

Gaia was so anxious. She couldn't allow another version of herself to transcend. If one of them advanced further, she would merely become part of that version's power.

This was something Gaia absolutely could not accept.

The stronger the god, the more they shared this sentiment.

Even if!

Another being named "Hades" transcended, would Hades himself be content to just become part of another "Hades's" power?

No!

Absolutely not!

Hades would never accept that. He wanted to be the unique, one and only Hades, with all other "Hades" becoming part of his strength.

This was the ultimate goal of every god.

It was an undeniable truth.

Erebus and Nyx shared this desire. In their view, if they couldn't transcend, they would have to find another path.

For instance!

If Hades could truly become the supreme Absolute God, he could use external means to help his subordinates in the underworld gods merge their essences. This was an incredibly important factor.

Even if they couldn't break through to the level of Absolute God, they could still consolidate themselves and continue working toward transcendence, greatly increasing their chances of success.

This was the fundamental core of their thinking.

Gaia's plan was equally mad. Whatever the case, knowing the truth didn't mean you should act on it. Attempting to pry further would only lead to disaster.
