The Scarlet Bunsen followed us closely. It hovered in the air menacingly as we made our trip to Noir's sect.
"Are you gonna revert him?" Noir whispered. "He's giving me the creeps."
We both glanced back at the Corrosion demon. He paid us no attention.
"I'm too afraid to revert him. What if he attacks me for trying?"
Noir frowned. "You do know summons cant attack their masters, right?"
"No!" it made sense why he didn't outright kill me when i summoned him, though.
"Why did you get a mythic summon when yure so damn dumb!"
"I'm not dumb! I literally woke up in this body fully grown . I don't even know how magic works in this world!"
Noir opened her mouth, then closed it.
"Wait, you didn't have the same thing happen?"
"No. i was reborn here. I had to grow up and earn my magic." she frowned at me. "Seems like you got an easier welcome to this world."
Guilt rippled through me. It wasn tmy fault Demiurge summoned me here! Besides, her god must have hated her if it made her have to grind for her level of magic.
We made it into a town of green temples. A pair of gold lions guarded its gate. THey were tall statues with black orb in their jaws. THeir eyes were rubies the size of my head. THough they weren't alive, I could feel their gaze on me.
"Just revert your summon." Noir hissed. "Its already going to be hard enough to let a wyrm forged ito the sect. Having that staff is going to be a problem, but keeping him out is like waving a weapon around my people."
I glanced at the Twig of Yggdrasil. If it really was a powerful weapon, why was it given to me? I looked back at Scarlet and reverted him. I stared at his card, noting the Mythic rank on the cards corner.
Two double doors opened, letting us enter the gate of Noir's sect.
Before we entered, she turend to me and siad, "Dont use any magic if you want to keep your life."
She didn't give me time to ask question.s she grabbed my wrist and led me into the jaw of the Green Lion Sect.
