Chapter 45 - Divine Prisoner

"Danny, take this containment box and look around for any valuable materials that could be used for research as well as any data that might contain valuable Intel on the enemy." Raven said as she handed me a white box that she pulled out of her backpack.

I saw a throne against the center rear wall that was made of a black metal with white support beams that made the throne go up to eight feet in height.

Beside the throne on both sides, I saw a red flag that had white skulls of four different figures on it. from left to right, the head order went undead zombie, undead skeleton, werewolf, and vampire. The heads seemed to be slightly larger as the banner went from left to right, showing the clear hierarchy system that was used by the UDC.

I then grabbed the white cube that Raven was waving in front of my face to get my attention with before I went to the only side room that I could see from this room.

"Danny, I will try to make contact with the team so that they can pick up the black mineral for us. I will also tell Trent about your successes on this mission. " Raven said to me as I walked into the side room.

When I made it into the room, I was quite astonished at how dramatically different the architectural design was from the rest of the building. The rest of the building had a kind of dark, Gothic, lord of the dead type of vibe; but as I entered this specific room it felt like I had stepped into a different region of super advanced research as I looked around.

The floor was made of a black hexagon tile set against the wall in front of me. I saw a variety of different computer screens that had data constantly going into them as if they were continuously scanning something.

I saw a door that was to my right, but it was sealed shut, and the only way to get in was using a retinal scan to prove my identity. I knew that if I wanted to get into that room, I would have to either blow up the door myself or I could use Raven's talent to transform herself for up to an hour into other beings that she touches.

So, I left the room and I no longer saw Raven in the room at all which meant that she was on her way to establish communications with the team and chose to make the journey of delivering it there herself.

Since she was not here, I was going to have to blow up the door myself if I wanted to get into the secret room that was behind the sealed door.

When I made it back to the sealed door, I placed two of my power cells on the retinal scan device of the door and magnetized them so that they would not move. Then, I placed one of the electrical elemental stones that I had in my backpack on top of one of the magnetized power cells. After I did all of this, I had made a high-powered EMP weapon to gain access to the door.

I clicked both power cells three times, which caused them to start blinking a red color every few seconds before I backed away and waited for them to activate.

After I was far enough away to be out of the range of the blast, I waited until I heard the electrical and explosive pulse activate, and after that, I noticed that the door was now open.

I did not know if my makeshift EMP would actually work but, the fact that it did made me quite happy because the fact that they had this door sealed meant that whatever was inside was of great value and importance to the undead.

"Help me. help me out of this prison. " I heard a female voice say to me in my head.

Even though I was unaware of who or where that voice had come from, I somehow felt a connection to her as if I was meant to help this person, so I did without any hesitation.

After the second voice had left my head, I entered through the side door that was once sealed. I pushed on the door, and it slid open without any resistance since my EMP worked.

As I entered the room, I noticed that the room was made of the same tile floor as the room before. The only difference was that there were two devices in the room that stood out to me.

The first thing that I noticed was a massive see-through tube that had a blue liquid inside as well as small yellow dust like chunks inside the liquid. Inside the liquid, I saw a white skinned and pale female that was completely naked, and she also seemed to be as skinny as can be. It was as if they never nurtured this being, but somehow kept it barely alive.

The second major item that I saw was a large circular white rock that handed a light green barrier around it that maintained itself.

"I can tell there is something different about you. I can sense an ancient presence that I have not seen in almost a full millennium. That tells me that you are one of her candidates." The pale skinned female said to me from inside the containment tube as soon as I approached it.

"How do you know of the Terran goddess?" I asked her as I looked into her eyes, trying to see if I could look into her soul.

"The reason I know about her is that I am the goddess of the vampires." She said to me as she narrowed her eyes and looked directly at me.

"So why did the vampires capture and possibly torture their goddess?" I asked her as I paced around the two that contained her.

"I was brought into this testing tube buy the head researcher of this world as a means to give their race an advantage in the current galactic war. It has been over one millennium sense. I have been free to move around as I see fit." She said to me.

"So, if I let you out, what will you do to those who imprisoned you?" I asked her as I made it back to where I was standing directly in front of her with a look that let her know that I was truly curious about what she would do if I was to let her out of this containment unit.

"Well first off I will be limiting the amount of divine intervention that these undead mortals will be receiving from me for at least a century because of what they did to me unless my chosen replacement deity arrives. You also do not have to worry that I will attack your people since my rage is geared towards my own people instead of yours." She said to me as she narrowed her eyes while looking at me.

"I will only accept these terms if you swear them to me in the Divine tongue since everything you say in the Divine tongue is bound to your soul." I said to her as I started to take my hand off the switch that would deactivate the containing unit.

"Jurant in gloria," she said in a deep tone.

"Then, since you have sworn in the Divine tongue on your life, that means that if you do any harm to my people as a result of this freedom, then you will die. We both know exactly what happens when a deity of a major race dies. " I said to her as I placed my hand on top of the switch without pressing it.

After a few seconds of thought I pressed the only button that was on the left side of her tube and the liquid began to drain out until she was standing on her own two feet instead of floating around inside the tube. After that, the glass began to lower until she was able to step out and move around freely.

"I thank you for freeing me from this bondage. I will see you again sometime in the near future when you become the next god of your race. In the end, I will also return this favor to you at some point on your journey. " She said to me as I looked at her, trying not to drop my jaw in amazement at how stunning her curved body was.

Even though she was originally pale as soon as she left that containment tube, I noticed that her skin began to develop some color as if the thing was making her turn pail was no longer stopping her from looking almost human.

She walked around to the corner that was to my rear left where the other major item was located and she pointed her left hand towards the item and I quickly saw some kind of projection come from her claws that caused the item to shatter.

"That is the first punishment that I will be putting into action that is geared towards the vampires. Since they no longer have their artificial moon on this world, they are unable to control the werewolves, transformations which could possibly destroy all their social structure in this world."

Then I looked away and a blinding light suddenly and enveloped the entire room, which caused her to vanish from my site when I was finally able to see clearly in front of me.

I truly hope that she would honor her word and not harm my people since it would mean the death of her own race; only time would be able to tell me the truth.

Now that I was alone, I stuck a flash drive in the side of the computer that was originally reading her vitals and waited for any possible Intel about the UDC to be downloaded. When it was complete, I made my way out of the fortress and met up with the members of my team who were waiting for me on the other side of the lava river bridge.

"You took your sweet precious time again, Danny," William said to me with a look of disappointment.

"It might have taken me a bit of time, but it was well worth it. I have gathered all the possible information that I can on the UDC from one of their computers on this flash drive. " I said as I tossed it at William so that he would finally possibly show me some respect for all my effort.

"Well, you can argue when we are finally done with this mission." Trent said as he had us all gather around him to do his dimensional shift talent once again.

I felt the same feeling as last time as if the entire area around me went white for a short while, and then I was finally able to see clearly in front of me. We were back in the cave that we were originally guarding as the only entrance to our encampment via land.

The difference between this time and the last time that we were here was that I saw a large variety of undead bodies as well as a few werewolf bodies scattered throughout the cave, but they just looked like very hairy men instead of werewolves which told me that what the goddess had destroyed was their artificial moon that was rumored to be in the UDC as she said she did.

William picked up Trent just like last time and carried him into our defensive encampment, but as soon as we reached it one of the female members of Nova's team came over to where I was and had a look of worry and depression on display for me to see as clear as day.

"What is the matter?" I asked her as I saw her starting to cry in front of me as if something very horrible had happened or was going to happen.

"Your wife has been captured by the enemy; unfortunately, we are not able to retrieve her at this time. It will cost us more men than one person is worth." she said to me.

"This is my wife that we are talking about. To me, her life is worth over a thousand of these soldiers' lives." I said angrily at her because I did not know what other emotions to feel at the sound of the fact that the enemy had captured my wife and that they were not doing anything to stop it.

As soon as I heard that I rushed into the cave and tried to make my way out as soon as I could because I knew that if I did not hurry, I could possibly lose my wife and therefore, lose the reason why I wanted to live.
