Hunter's grip was tight on the steering wheel as he pulled into the parking lot of Delilah' condo.
He had driven down there directly from the restaurant after his conversation with her. He wanted her to repeat all she had said over the phone to his face.
He turned off the engine but didn't step out immediately since he could tell Delilah wasn't home yet. Her car wasn't in the parking lot. Instead, he sat for a moment, staring at the building which had become a home to him in the last weeks.
He knew Delilah would be upset to see him since she had made it clear on the phone that she wanted to end things. But he also knew she was lying. He had heard the cracks in her voice, the hesitation in her words. She was pushing him away, but he wasn't going anywhere.
A light knock on the driver's side window startled him. He turned to find Ned standing beside the car with a curious expression.
