Following clues from Dr. Fenwick's journal, Evelyn and Mr. Blackwood navigated the labyrinthine mansion. They descended into the basement, where they discovered a hidden chamber filled with ancient symbols. In the center of the room was a pedestal holding a crystal orb, pulsing with dark energy. As Evelyn reached for it, the room grew colder, and the whispers became deafening. She hesitated, feeling the orb's malevolent power. Mr. Blackwood urged caution, reminding her of the risks. Determined to end the curse, Evelyn grabbed the orb. The house shuddered, and the shadows closed in around them.
