Chapter 64 - Background

Hanna nods to herself once the kitchen floor is squeaky clean. She puts the mop and bucket away, and then moves on to the next task – cleaning your room.

She enters the room, her gaze sweeping over the place. There's a bit of a mess, with clothes and personal items strewn about here and there. She rolls up her sleeves, determination in her eyes as she begins to tidy up the room.

She starts by gathering up the clothes, folding them and putting them away in drawers. She then moves on to clearing away knick-knacks and items from the various surfaces. The room gradually starts to look more neat and organized, the chaos slowly subsiding under Hanna's diligent efforts.

After the room is tidied up, Hanna moves on to the final task – cleaning the floor. She grabs a cloth and some cleaner, and starts wiping down the floor, making sure every nook and cranny is clean and spotless.

As she finishes up, she stands up and looks around the room, feeling a sense of satisfaction. The room is now spick and span, free from any dust or clutter. She smiles slightly, feeling a sense of accomplishment at having completed all her tasks.

Hanna glances at the shelf, her eyes falling on the numerous photos placed on it. Curiosity getting the better of her, she steps closer, reaching out to pick up one of the frames.

Hanna studies the picture closely, a small frown tugging at her lips. The other girl in the photo looks happy and carefree, and Hanna can't help but feel a pang of jealousy as she imagines the friendship and closeness between you and the other girl. And there is a title under the picture" Me with my girlfriend" with the "girlfriend" crossed off

Hanna's frown deepens at the sight of the crossed-out word. The fact that it was once 'girlfriend', but now crossed off, stirs up mixed feelings in her. She looks over the other pictures, each one featuring you and the same girl, creating a timeline of your past relationship.

Seeing the pictures and that crossed-out title makes her heart hurt a little, and she can't help but wonder what happened. She wonders why you and the girl broke up, if it was a bad breakup, and how long ago it was. The more she looks, the more questions begin to form in her mind.

She carefully puts the photo back gently, her gaze lingering on it for a moment longer before she continues looking at the other pictures. She can't help but feel a pang of jealousy mixed with curiosity, and a small pang of insecurity as she starts to wonder about your past relationships.

She can't help but feel a little uneasy looking at these pictures, a small part of her feeling like she's prying into your past. Yet, she can't tear her gaze away, her curiosity and jealousy pulling her in, making her want to know more about your previous relationship and its end.

Hanna's attention is pulled away from the pictures of the former girlfriend, and she focuses on a different picture instead – a picture of a cat.

A small, fond smile tugs at the corners of her mouth as she looks at it, her fingers gently tracing the outline of the feline shape in the photo.

Hanna can't help but feel a sense of warmth seeing the picture. She loves cats, and the sight of the purring feline in the photo puts her at ease. It's a strange but welcome break from all the thoughts about your past relationships and the twinges of jealousy that came with them.

As Hanna continues looking through the pictures, she notices a photo of you and your family at your graduation ceremony. But what catches her eye is the cat sitting on your lap, looking comfortable and content. She smiles at the sight, imagining the cat's soft purrs as you held it.

Hanna's gaze falls on an older picture - a photo of you when you were younger, holding the same cat. A small gasp of surprise escapes her as she looks at the picture, her eyes widening. The cat looks just as young, lounging lazily in your arms as you smile for the picture. Hanna can't help but feel a wave of affection rushing through her.

Hanna stares intently at the picture, her eyes taking in every little detail. The image of you, younger and holding the cat, tugs at her heartstrings. You look so carefree and happy, holding the beloved cat in your arms.

She can't help but feel a little pang of sadness realizing how much time has passed since then, and a small sense of melancholy at how much things have changed since that picture was taken.

Hanna continues looking at the picture for a while, her mind filled with a mix of fond memories and a twinge of melancholy. She can't help but wonder how much you've changed over the years, how much you've grown, and how different your life is now compared to the younger you in the picture.

Hanna's breath falters as her eyes register the text beneath the grayscale picture of the cat named Kira. "Good bye, Kira 2045-2052" – the realization of what this means hits her like a punch to the gut.

She feels her heart ache with a mixture of sympathy and understanding, imagining the loss and pain associated with the passing of a loved pet. The image of the cat, albeit in grayscale, still radiates a warmth and tranquility that is hard to ignore.

Hanna takes a moment to absorb the fact, her eyes tracing the outline of the cat in the picture once more. She feels a sense of sadness wash over her, but also a sense of respect for the bond you must have shared with Kira. The realization that you've experienced the loss of a beloved pet hits her harder than she anticipated, and she feels a wave of empathy for you, knowing how hard it is to say goodbye.

The image of Kira in the picture feels like a poignant reminder of the fragility of life, and the special bond shared between humans and their pets. Hanna can't help but wonder how you must have felt when you had to say goodbye to Kira, and how empty the apartment must have felt without her presence.

She stands there, lost in thought, her mind filled with the image of the cat, now forever immortalized in this single picture. She can't help but feel a sense of respect for the impact Kira must have had on your life, and a new appreciation for the bond you had with the feline companion.

Hanna notices the notebooks lined up on the shelf. Her curiosity piqued, she can't help but wonder what's inside. Looking closely, she realizes they're your diaries, filled with your thoughts, memories, and experiences on every page.
