While waiting for him to come out, Lin Yue had already sat up, hugging the quilt. Zhuo Xiangqiao immediately approached to tuck her in properly.
"Be careful not to catch a cold," he said.
"How could I?" Lin Yue responded. The room was well heated; how could she possibly catch a cold?
"Why did you come back so early?" Lin Yue asked, leaning into his embrace.
Zhuo Xiangqiao recounted everything that had happened at the banquet to Lin Yue in detail.
"Did he see someone? Or an old acquaintance?" Lin Yue asked, puzzled. Something must be significant enough to shock him into leaving his own birthday party early; it must involve this person and Lin Tianhao.
"Did you see that person?" she asked, nuzzling against Zhuo Xiangqiao.
"No, but your brother probably did." However, he seemed not ready to talk about it. Judging by Lin Jinfang's expression, he must have known that person.
