The mercenary had sensed that the smoke had been temporarily pushed back by Akaya's herbal concoction. To ensure his safety, he had decided to leave the initial attack to the deer-man, hiding within the smoke to wait for the perfect moment. Now, he activated two of his skills: Ambush and Backstab. The Ambush skill increased the damage dealt to an unaware target, while Backstab enhanced the damage dealt when attacking from behind. Utilizing the smoke as cover for a stealthy assassination was the most efficient, low-risk method for the mercenary to complete his task.
