Synopsis
Hatched into a world far too big for her tiny claws and scaly wings, the small dragon was not greeted by roaring thunder or fiery mountains—but by a bunch of confused adventurers. Her parental figures might wear a hat too big for their head, is an elitist nerd or a sarcastic sly woman, and their leader might have dropped on his head somewhere during childhood but they're trying their best. They call her Esmeralda. An Emerald Dragon hatchling with barely any skills and no idea how to fly, breathe fire, or behave like a fearsome beast. But what she does have is something stronger than stats: a family. Now bound to a dumb but warm-hearted swordsman who somehow became her “mom,” Esmeralda will stumble (sometimes literally) through monster-government officials, awkward kisses and cuddles, and a whole lot of bloody adventures she never asked for. This is the story of a dragon raised by (unresponsible and barely) adults. --- What to expect: - Grammartical errors - Slight bits of ecchi and suggestive - The constant repeat cycle family & fluffs > tragic & combat > family & fluff > ... - There will be no in-story explanation or exploration into the previous life. The story purely focused on the adventure they'll face. - Daily upload

Chapter 1 - Emerald Dragon

She opened her eyes to see himself in a dark and squishy room, but it's too small, she could not even walk one step without feeling like the floor was getting spherical, it was a box-like thing. By the seconds that passed, her breath was worning out, she panicked and tried her best to break out, wiggling and struggling like a small animal.

One, two, three and four. Four of the girl's fingers was pinching the box as hard as she could. The box was a gooey mess, around was all mushy and sticky, only darkness presented in front. Yet this feels familiar, like the instinct of a creature on this life. After a moment or two of struggling, a crack appeared on the surface in front of her, letting glares and pockets of lights to shine through; meaning more air coming in for breathing purposes.

"It'...co….ut" Mumbling voices of excitement could be heard outside the box.

With one more push, the box splited in two, the top half fell down as she finally got the gasp of air and panted in pain with her cheeks all red up. Taking a quick look up, she noticed a group of young men and women wearing iron, cloak, wizard hat, having weird hair colors and even pointy ears?

The first one she noticed was a blonde guy with dark greenish eyes with a tint of blue, iron armor covered his body from shoulders to toes. They were really giants in the small creature's eyes.

There were four of them—two males and two females—all in complete silence just admiring her beauty, she then tried to get up, standing on two feet like she had known this since the dawn of time, but immediately lost the footing and fell down, face flat onto the table below.

"E...i...a" She tried to say something and express the enourmous hellish pain that her nose was suffering from, but for obvious reasons her voice was really squeaky and weak.

"Before anyone asks, I'm not able to breastfeed it." A somewhat sly and light female voice said, looking up; it was noticeable that she had paler skin, with short pointy ears and long dark golden hair all the way to her lower back.

The blonde guy carefully and effortlessly picked the small thing up, her body was enough to just sit inside the guy's palm; she's smol, like a kitten or something.

"Hello little buddy..." The guy brought her closer to his body, they immediately felt a deep connection between the two; she rushed into snuggled against his chest, rubbing her face on it.

"So that's our... Emerald Dragon." A tall, blue hair man with with eyes glasses said, poking her back with his index finger.

"I think it likes you Marc." A girl, with brownish short hair and giant wizard-like hat said excitedly, standing behind the blonde guy whom she called Marc.

The dragon was standing on four limbs, each limb has four fingers with pointy round nails. Her skin was scabrous and rough. Behind her was a pair of weak also greenish wings; She tried clenching her back which effectively moved the wings very slightly.

"Hey there little guy, let's get you some check." Marc said, rubbing on the kid's dragon ears, which excited her.

They were in a giant wooden building, upon entering it was easily noticed that place is very busy, smelly and loud like a bar; people were drinking, talking at the desk and looking at walls for some post-it notes. There were waitresses and clerks always on scene.

"So we hatched a dragon, kind of. And it's attached to our dumb leader which I don't think is a good sign." The elf with dark golden hair said, holding the dragon by its tail upwards like a keychain which made her spun around slowly like a toy.

"Was he the first living thing the dragon sees?" A lady, short gingered hair with glasses, she's sitting at the clerk table scratching her head and writing down something, as well as occasionally poking the dragon's body, which she didn't know why.

"Yeah… What of it?" The female mage with short brown hair and wizard hat in the group said.

"Ma'am and Sirs, dragons will assume the first thing they saw was their mom and will get attached. How do you not know this basic information and yet hatched a dragon?"

The four stayed silent, Marc thought about shrugging but didn't let that intrusive thought take over himself.

"It's fine, go upstairs, we'll check the dragon stats. Take this with you" The lady signed something on the paper and handed it to them.

"Emerald Dragon? I'm not judging, but this race isn't really good at fighting if you people need a fighting pet." An old male sorcerer with a monocle on his left eye said, carefully using some sort of levitation on the dragon's body, which made her float without even touching.

"It's okay, but I do have a question, do we have to like, breastfeed it?" The lady elf said, with a straight face nontheless.

"With other races of course, but newborn dragons can live with cow milk and raw meat, Emerald can even eat stones, but they wouldn't like it as much."
