I smiled and looked at Song Jialun intently. I saw how worried and scared he was when I realized his true feelings about Wu Jinmai. Well, this bitch knew his feelings, actually.
Her plans are to use him when her husband decides to turn his back on her. She was smart but cunningly devious. I held his palm, and he looked at me intently. He was surprised at what I did.
"I know about your feelings about me. My apologies, but I can't give you the love that you wished from me, Song Jialun. I'm in love with the emperor consort," I sincerely murmured.
He smiled sadly. "I understand. I saw how much you love him, and he feels the same way too. That's why I have this feeling of relief. I don't have to worry that he will betray you. That's what I've been afraid of for the past years," he says. That made me smile. His love was really pure.
