I look at myself in the mirror and smile. My mother placed her hands on my shoulder. "I can't believe we will be able to see you in a wedding dress, my dear," she whispers.
A tear falls on my cheek. I shed it. It will ruin my look. "I feel the same way too, Mother. I can't believe I'll be able to marry A'Qin after the empress took a favor to him."
