" Wait, hold up for a moment." Miller spoke looking at Charllote who stood behind me." You're telling me that they are attacking a day earlier?"
" Yes, they were preparing to march when I found them." She confirmed which did nothing to ease the situation, matter of fact it made the mood sour a bit.
" But I thought Murphy said that we had a day left?" Clarke said immediately glaring at Murphy who sat meekly in his chair.
" That's what I heard okay, maybe they had a change of plans?" Murphy said defending himself.
" Alright, let me kill him." Bellamy said standing up whilst pulling out a dagger.
Murphy immediately jumped up and backed off seeing the glaring stare that Bellamy had on him.
" Hang on now bell." I spoke holding a hand up to the boy about to kill our little informant.
" Oh come on Zek, he fed us false info." He said glaring at Murphy still." How do we know that he didn't do this on purpose so that we could let our guard down?"
Sighing at the fact that he had a good point still I shook my head.
" Or they fed him false information instead hoping to do the very same." I said guessing the most plausible explanation.
" I don't think I ever asked but who was this woman that taught you their language?" I asked looking back at Murphy who at some point scurried behind Charlotte.
To that question, I saw that everyone was intrigued, even the pissed-off Bellamy. Octavia seemed more amused by the happenings and simply liked stealing glances at me.
Clarke had a concerned and worried look on her as she rubbed the watch on her hand. Miller looked about ready to cut something down at the last second.
Charlotte on the other hand simply looked at Murphy whilst keeping me in her sight at the ready.
The only person not here was Raven without the new addition of Miller, but then again I didn't want her here as much as she tried to atone.
" The girl? You want me to tell you her name?" Murphy asked confused before a sudden spark ignited in his eyes.
" If you don't kill me then I'll tell you her name, fuck I'll even introduce you to her if I ever meet her." He frantically added causing me to sigh in frustration.
" Murphy, talk already so we can move on and talk about what we came here for." I muttered getting a bit tired from this conversation.
" Okay, her name was Gaia." He said immediately I tensed.
That name sounded familiar, not from the series as I never got that far in them but from something related to them.
' Maybe a character I never got to see?' I wondered not caring.
" I see." I said staring at him before shaking my head and looking at Miller." Are Jasper and Monty ready?"
" Yeah they are, they will be managing the minefield network and I've told them to immediately tell us if any are tripped even if it's by accident." He said feeling nervous, that was a good response as any as if the minefield is breached then we'll have to move on to guns and when we run out of bullets, melee.
Everyone was outfitted with the armor I had made for bulk alongside swords, those items would grant them a boost and advantage to battle as they were made using the gamer's powers.
But if we get to melee then we have a larger chance of dying in the field, I was confident in their combat skills but I wasn't sure whether the experience would overcome their skills.
I hoped not.
" Bellamy, are the fighters ready?" I asked the man sitting at the other side of the table staring at me.
" They are, I've been keeping them rested ever since the minefield plantation. They will be ready to spring out to fight at any given time." He said with a nod causing some of them to breathe a sigh of relief, our fighters would be our last line of defense after all.
I would be in the front lines too, to keep as many people alive as possible and also to farm Experience points for my system.
I can finally level up again after all.
" Clarke, are supplies good for long periods of warfare?" I asked the girl staring worriedly around the table, she had taken up inventory work alongside doctor duties since we didn't get that many people hurt or injured anymore.
She kept inventory and managed our supplies and distribution instead of having a free-for-all-all system that we roughly had.
She stared at me and nodded." We have enough dried meat to last us a while thanks to that bear you hunted and the game you've been hunting."
At that, I finally remembered that little bit of information, I forgot about the meat of the bear as I had given it to the butchers after a while.
" But Zek, are we sure we can't find common grounds with the grounders?" She asked tiredly not even believing that herself.
Octavia snorted and rolled her eyes more from her wordplay than her tiny dislike of the woman ever since the Finn debacle.
" I don't think that's a good idea." Murphy said with a shrug and a look from me to explain and he started talking.
" I mean the common phrase as I've heard from Gaia that she uses a lot is 'Blood must have blood.'" He said with a chuckle." Quite fitting really if she can control blood."
Most of us ignored the last bit, I knew that the others even with Murphy's information weren't sold on that ability part.
Potions that gave you instant gains and even made you surpass your human limits, sure.
But straight-up blood-bending or something, they were skeptical.
" Clarke, we will only ever find peace with the grounders if we show them that we are not to be trifled with." I started staring at the blonde.
" They only see strength from what we've heard, if we want them to hear us then we must show them that." I told her and most of those around the table nodded agreeing with my views.
" So we will crush them and send the skins of their fallen to their city as warning not to mess with the 100." I said pulling as much conviction as I could and for the most part, I think I had them rallied up.
" So does everyone understand what they have to do?" I asked finalising the meeting.
They nodded with determined looks on their faces.
" Good, then let's protect our home." With that, I walked out first having Charlotte trail behind me.
