[— 3rd Pov]

As the flickering pink flames slowly receded through what was supposed to be a battlefield turned into a one-sided massacre.

Inside the camp surrounded by streams of fire and bodies, we could see 3 people standing looking outside the opened gates moments after Ezekiel and the others walked out.

" Do you think it's a good idea to question Ezekiel's orders like that?" Murphy asked staring at Clarke." Especially in front of everyone?"

Clarke looked back at Murphy with a frown not happy at the fact that she had to put up with the boy, his usefulness was running dry anyway.

" I wasn't questioning him, just advising him." Clarke replied.

" Yeah right, as if your council is needed. You're not part of the council anymore Clarke, you fucked that up already so you should stop pestering the man before he snaps." Murphy said giving his eyes own advice to the woman.

" Don't you think I don't know that!" Clarke snapped walking up to Murphy and pushing a finger at Murphy earning a slight 'oomph' from him, the difference in strength showing.

" I can't just sit around and not do anything, I know that I fucked up and if I could rewind time and do better, trust me, Murphy, I would!" She said letting her frustrations show.

" Clarke, calm down." Raven said putting a hand on Clarke's shoulder in understanding of her feelings.

" It was a good idea but I don't think Zek is in any position to listen to you or me for that matter." Raven said with a shake of her head.

Just as Murphy was about to say something else he suddenly stopped and looked at the sky.

" What the fuck?" He muttered showing an expression of shock as his jaw hung.

Immediately Clarke and Raven looked up and saw it.

Something was falling to the ground, parts were flying off and burning up but a good chunk survived and they could see it.

" No fucking way." Muttered Raven shocked as they stared at the Ark falling into earth before loud explosions rang throughout the forest alongside bangs of collision.

" Someone go get Ezekiel, fast!!" Shouted Raven and immediately a guard on the watchtower grabbed his walkie-talkie and called for their leader.

" Do...do you think they survived?" Asked Clarke, her voice a bit shallow with hope still being heard.

" They wouldn't have detached if they didn't have a plan Clarke, I'm sure they survived." Muttered Raven knowing very well that Clarke still held hope of her mother being alive.

" Or they had no choice, with the air running out and all." Murphy offhandedly commented.

" Shut up Murphy!" Raven barked at the boy while pointedly looking at him while she held the shoulder of her friend.

" Ma'am, Ezekiel said to not engage nor get out of camp. They'll be here in an hour." A guard said after walking up to them and then left.

"*Scoff* It seems that you still have some respect after all Clarke, you might not be such a lost cause." Murphy said with a chuckle.

" Say one more thing and I'll break your neck Murphy, swear to god." Raven said scowling.

Murphy seeing the seriousness in her voice immediately raised his arms and walked away, leaving the two staring at the sky.

He already was making plans on staying as useful as he could to the camp, for protection and his survival. He was under delusions to the fact that he was the weakest in the camp, he hoped that Ezekiel wasn't playing around when he said he'd offer him a fruit if they won the war.

—[ Ezekiel's POV ]—

Grabbing the head of the last of the stragglers left from the grounders at my side I quickly snapped his head and laid his head back on the floor before standing and looking back at my group of 20.

They looked at me unflinching as their swords, spears and knives were bloodied from eliminating the remaining grounders.

There had been a considerable amount of them too, which makes me wonder why the system had marked the quest complete.

My theory was that the remaining grounders either gave up thoughts of fighting us as they died in droves or that their remaining numbers simply weren't enough to win against us.

Either way I didn't care.

" Okay, I think that's the last of them." I said looking around the forest, it was quiet with only the sound of fire emanating throughout.

But just as we had been about to walk back to camp to plan our next actions and how we would deal with the bodies a resounding explosion occurred above.

Immediately I had my twin Katanas drawn, quickly I scanned through my map and found no enemies before looking up.

" Oh...." I muttered staring at what I knew to be part of the ark spiralling down from the sky.

" Is that?" One of the teens I had been leading started staring at the sky with his eyes wide.

" I can't catch a break can I?" I mumbled quietly staring as the ark broke into multiple pieces, some exploding even before hitting the ground while some stayed intact and landed far away from my view.

" Everyone back to camp now!" I quickly shouted before leading my unit to camp running.

We quickly maneuvered through the piles of bodies, flames and trees burning and managed to get into the gates of our camp.

" Zek!" Shouted a familiar voice, entering the camp I stared at Bellamy who looked worn, blood littering his armor.

I saw that all of the people sent out had come back intact, bloodied but intact.

" What's wrong?" I asked walking over to him before I paused and stared at a group who still had their swords at the ready while in a circle and inside that circle I saw a familiar figure.

Anya, the grounder commander.

I frowned as I stared at her disheveled appearance worn with wounds but still alive, bound in rope as she stared defiantly at everyone around her.

I quickly stilled my expression, frowning.

" What the fuck is she doing here?" I asked the man walking up to him and the grounder.

" Wait Zek, let me explain!" Shouted Octavia standing between me and the group holding the grounder.

" Explain what? She's a grounder, she should be dead with her other grounder army." I said stopping right in front of her.

" We can use her Zek." She said holding her ground as she stared at my waist where my hand lay on my Katana.

I stood quiet as I stared at her and Bellamy along with the others.

Miller stood on the sidelines frowning not happy about the situation either.

I had only one question though, which would determine if I actually listened or simply killed her there and then.

" Who's idea was this and most importantly, who brought her here?" I said and waited before watching Octavia sigh.

" I did." She said and I felt my frown furthering.
