Sophia held Capone back, standing two meters away from Lucca. She spoke softly, "Don't worry, we won't hurt him. Is Doug very sick? Is he on oxygen?"
Lucca bit her lip. "The doctor said oxygen is very helpful for heart disease patients. He cried earlier and had trouble breathing, so the doctor gave him some medicine and put him on oxygen to sleep for a while."
"And Lucas?" Capone asked, surveying the room. There were several people around, busy with medical tasks, including doctors, nurses, and even Karl and Candy, but Lucas was nowhere to be found.
Lucca gave a bitter smile. "He's probably in his room. He hasn't been here."
She wiped away a tear from the corner of her eye, bitterly reflecting on how, at this moment, thinking of that indifferent man still made her cry.
"I'm sorry for making you come all this way. I heard Doug is scheduled for surgery?" Sophia asked, hoping to get more information and maybe uncover a clue.
