Xander's POV,
I left his room. I couldn't stand to see the mark on his neck anymore, it hurts my heart thinking that he was marked by an alpha that is not me. I just wanted to rip his throat apart, so that the mark on my mate vanishes and is replaced by me.
I was on my way back when I saw Dad. He looked at me with worried eyes, but I just walked past him. I didn't want to talk about what had happened with Michael.
But as I tried to walk past him, he held my hand. I looked at him with my red eyes, and he looked taken aback but sighed as if he had expected this reaction from me. Does this mean he knew about Michael being marked by someone else? Another alpha?
Before he could say anything, I asked him, "Did you know about this?"
"Yes, son, I knew it. I found out about this around the first month he came here. Only I know this, he was too scared to-"
"That means he also knew that I was his mate?"
"Yes, he told me you were his mates almost immediately when he found out."
"Why did you never tell me anything?"
"Because it was not my place to tell anything, and I am sorry, son."
"You're sorry won't change the fact that my mate asked for a rejection," I couldn't help but growl at him as the thought of Michael asking for a rejection came into my mind.
"What?! I will talk to him, son. I will convince him not to ask for rejection. You guys are mates for a reason-"
"Just leave me alone." I didn't want to sound rude, but I was not in the mood to be kind either. My mate just told me that he has a mark of another alpha on his neck and wants rejection. I don't think I can handle anything else right now. I don't want to hurt someone else either because all I can see is rage, rage for the bastard who tried to take my mate away from me! My mate!
"Xander, calm down! You are growling a little too loudly. We don't want everyone downstairs to know what is happening between you and Michael, they are already gossiping about Michael's reaction on finding out that you both are mates."
"Whatever," I jerked his hand and went back to my room. I needed some time to cool off, but I also needed to find out who was that son of a bitch who dared to mark my mate.
