Odette felt better when Delilah came to see her. She'd been so distraught and down, Delilah's carefree attitude and shameless monologues were a heavenly refresher for her.
Delilah felt immense guilt for not being around when Odette went through that. She was alone when the girls gave her that gift. Delilah knew how social events made Odette anxious, but still she wasn't there, nothing could excuse that. Delilah got caught up flirting and that's why she wasn't there when it counted.
Odette never asked where she was. She never expected the people around to bend to her will and be at her beck and call. But if last night taught her anything. She is the only person she can count on. She would never let herself down.
