"Really? You must be joking," Li Zhao hit the brakes so hard that they nearly flew out of the car, thankful that there were no cars behind. "You got married?"
"Yeah," Xia Lu nodded her head, not expecting such a big reaction from him.
Li Zhao pulled the car over to the curb, leaned in close to her, "Look into my eyes, and repeat what you just said."
Xia Lu had no choice but to repeat herself, "I already got married."
Li Zhao grabbed her left hand, examining it closely, "Married, where's the ring then?"
"I was afraid of losing it, so I never wore it…" Xia Lu stuck out her tongue. Come on, that ring cost tens of thousands, losing it could mean selling her wouldn't even cover the costs; how could she casually wear it out?
Li Zhao leaned back in his seat, "Damn, why are my eyes so useless, falling for this again," he grumbled angrily.
After thinking for two minutes, he started the car again, "Whatever, I still have to take you home, can't just leave you halfway."
