"Hmm," Nadia Browne beamed, curving her lips upward, "no worries, maybe not today, but I promise, soon you'll hear my story. All I hope it won't leave your heart shattered."
She provoked Ishtar into suspense.
Unhappy, stuck in a heap of thoughts, heavy Ishtar was escorted outside of the skyscraper building and gently, Bob Lee opened the rare SUV door for her to climb in.
After sitting comfortably, "Bob Lee...," on a dull face she called him by his name, "very soon you're going to be a father, please, me and the twins need you to show us more close attentiveness."
Out of the blue Ishtar cautioned him, which caught his attention by storm. This happened in the midst of pushing the Escalade door to close so he could set her off, back home.
"Wait a minute!" Bob Lee posed and thought, "unless I've wronged you, you don't call me by my name. Have you anything to talk to me about? I mean, that I've done bothering you?" He asked Inquisitively.
With a slight beam and a silent sigh, "am just a concerned wife who wants to see my yet to come babies growing healthier with their dad beside them changing those diapers, happily playing on the house compound, enjoying diner with smiles on our faces at the dinning, and walking together as a family within the park... see them off to bed at night each and everyday of their lives, and more and more of the beautiful moments!"
Ishtar's emotions as she spoke went from just being concerned to overwhelming that a tear dropped.
"Of course you know me and you are meant to grow old together _ that's how its gonna be!" Bob Lee was so touched when he saw a tear rolling down his wife's face. He jumped up into the seat and caressed her with both hands, "what's this all about?" He couldn't wait to know her source of pain.
Ishtar, as a young lady deeply in love with her husband, wasn't strong enough to hide the jeolousy feelings after setting her eyes on a woman she conc sure knew was sleeping with her husband behind her back.
"That lady we left in Sonia's office, Nadia Browne, she's indeed beautiful," indifferently Ishtar smiled, whipping a tear mark off her face with a finger.
Bob Lee's heart raced, "does she know about my infidelity?!" Anxiously, deep in his mind a question ran with guilt.
"What exactly are you insinuating?" He leaned out from caressing her shoulders, looked into her eyes and asked.
"I don't like her...," Angrily Ishtar replied, "her disrespectful conduct in your presence got on my nerves _ how she was smiling around the whole place like she's got entitlement! Smelt fishy to me: she's not a good person."
However, this wasn't Ishtar's true concern.
Thoughtful though, as a respectful wife to her husband, Ishtar made sure she doesn't run her mouth carelessly without concrete evidence.
Bob Lee sighed with relief, concluding in his head that he's still on a safe side, his wife was still green on matters of his infidelity.
"Before wasting yourself with such hurtful thoughts, have you really considered your health and that of the unborn babies? You have three lives that are dependent on your health right now mind you! I propose you focus on those lives?" He talked madly back at her, as he stepped outside the car.
Putting on an unnecessary show, Bob Lee made a gloomy face and pushed the car door close, moodily walking away, a signal to wifey that she must be careful with the choice of battles she brings to him. Otherwise peace in their relationship wasn't to stay for long.
Inside the car, Ishtar, on a downcast face felt the impact of her quick reaction to jeolousy and immediately, "Honey...," she called on Bob Lee, but her voice couldn't penetrate the thick walls of the classic SUV which doors were already shut.
Through the tinted glass window, sorrowfully Ishtar watch him walking back, pushing the gigantic transparent door, and entering inside the skyscraper majestically without looking back.
"Where can I take you right now madam?" Her driver asked, but she had no immediate response to give.
At the same interval, just as Bob Lee stepped into the elevator to take him up back to his office, the doors of another elevator coming from up opened. Nadia Browne walked out to leave the premises too.
Both cross paths without seeing eachother.
In a hurry, Bob Lee approached Sonia's office and opened abruptly. He was hungry to meet Nadia Browne, the only lady he was much vulnerable to, who had full control over his strong heart.
"She's gone...," basing on how he bumped inside and the thirsty look on his face, Sonia knew what her boss was upto when she analyzed his situation.
He damned in a lot of frustration.
Outside the skyscraper, as Nadia Browne was walking to catch a taxi back to her apartment, inside an Escalade Ishtar spotted her.
"Hey hey hey," in a desperate panic, having her eyes out through the wind screen, Ishtar instructed her driver, "tail that taxi wherever it is going, but wisely."
Straight away, he ignited to start on the assignment.
Back to Bob Lee in his office, "no...!" With an unsettled mind he stood up real quick, traced his car key from the chest drawer and hurried out of the office.
After tailing the taxi for a while, Ishtar's SUV slows down as she maintains a clear eye outside, observing in a distance while the taxicab branches off slowly to its destination.
"Wait here!" Immediately Ishtar instructs her driver and she steps out.
Going after her like a detective on a suspect, not to let her off her sight, Ishtar hurried up, keeping a good distance from behind as she monitored each and every corner Nadia was taking on the apartment block until she entered inside her apartment.
In a distance Ishtar stood unseen, "so, this is where you reside and start snatching people's husbands, uh!" And spoke to herself jealously, "I will pay you a descent visit when am in a good mood."
With her seven months old bump, she walks back to the SUV so that she can find her way back home to rest.
But real chaos was just beginning. As soon as she had occupied her seat comfortably, her husband's red two sitter posh automobile approached and branched at exactly the same apartment block while she was clearly watching.
"What?!" Shocked, Ishtar couldn't believe her eyes, "that's my husband's car right there!" She yelled with fear.
Intolerantly, with her seven month old heavy bump, she suddenly jumped out of the SUV again, so afraid and curious.
