"Miss Bernie, would you mind telling me who is in your family?" Luther asked, staring at the man's photo in the phone.
"My parents and my younger brother," Jessica replied honestly.
"What does your brother do?"
"He is at university."
Luther hummed and scrolled through the phone, reading the older messages one by one. The more he read, the more he was horrified.
Jessica had been threatened time and again by the unknown person to bend to their will. They had even sent pictures of her parents and her brother whenever they were in public. As if to prove that they were following her and keeping an eye on her as well, they had clicked her pictures, some of which were taken in the Lawrence Group.
Luther noticed that Jessica had tried to approach the police. But every time she did, she'd receive a message, threatening her to kill her family, forcing her to give up on her thoughts. His eyes flashed with a coldness that made Jessica shiver.
