Claire's POV
I was still trying to wrap my head around what was happening. Weren't we supposed to be discussing Sissy and Damian? Then why had the conversation taken such a drastic turn?
At first, I thought about stepping in and asking, but the tension in the room was so thick that I felt like I would be stepping into a battlefield unarmed. So instead, I chose to stay quiet and let the scene unfold.
"I am still waiting, Caspian." Evander's voice was cold, barely keeping his emotions in check. His eyes were locked onto Caspian as he demanded an answer.
Caspian inhaled sharply, his whole body trembling. "As I said… I wanted to forget it all… But I love him more than anything, even more than my life… How could I possibly forget about him?" His voice cracked, and I saw the tears pooling in his eyes before they finally spilled over.
