"Hey Raymond, do you think you could show me how to use my room?" Vivian asks as she spots him relaxing on the sofa again.
"Ah, right, You're room is quite different from mine." Raymond says as he gets up and the two of them head to her room. They enter her room and see that it looks very similar to how Raymond has his, but still has her books and everything else, except the bed.
"I take it that you're sleeping is more akin to meditation, but I've never meditated, so that'll be a problem for me." Vivian says as she looks over at him.
"I know, when my Odenras took a scan of the room, they also scanned the energy, and the residue left behind. Once I excluded the data from my energy, it was quite chaotic." He explains not going into much more detail. "This means that for you, I designed your room as the exact opposite of mine. My room is designed to cause my energy to be more rampant during the night and absorb the excess energy and turn it into power when I sleep mediate. Your room on the other hand will be designed to make it so that when you sleep your energy will be calm and smooth, compared to how it normally is during the day." He explains and looks over at her and sees her thinking about what he said.
"So basically my room will absorb the excess energy from body as it tries to calm it down unlike yours, and as a result it will cause me to sleep easier, and increase my energy control basically." Vivian says as she thinks she figured out what it does for her.
"Almost, it doesn't help with sleep, it arguably makes it quite a bit worse." Raymond says with a mischievous grin.
"Ah, so it's meant for training, how fun." Vivian remarks in reply to what he said with a smile on her face. "Though I take it I'll probably hate it for the first few days, right?" She asks as she walks over to the middle of her room and looks back at him.
"Yup, if you want revenge, you can show me something that you think will be hard for me." Raymond says as he sees her relax her body.
"I'll think about it." She says as she sits down and tries to meditate to calm herself down, opposite of why Raymond mediates. Raymond smiles, and decides to leave her on her own as he heads to his room and decides to head to bed. The next morning Vivian is rather tired and very groggy, but the day goes on as normal, she heads off to her job and Raymond decides to spend the most day researching some stuff about Ubidar. The day is rather uneventful, until Raymond looks at the clock and sees that it's 26:37, near the end of Vivian's shift till 28:00.
{I wonder what her job is like, I should probably check it out, and maybe think if I need another job apart from being the landlord of this place, after all if it's going to be anything like my last life, I'll be here for while. } Raymond thinks as he gets up, and changes his clothes and gets ready to head out. He remembers Vivian saying that she works as an Office Worker, so the moment he exits Zeltamura, he waves his hand calling one of Odenras out. He looks up nearby office buildings, and then he compares the prices of the pay, and looks for building's that have their employees wear a name tag with the initial OZIM logo on it. "Looks like I'll be heading to Oziandria Media, though I should probably dress nicer if I'll be heading to such a place." Raymond says as he looks around and down at his clothes. He heads on out, and on his way he stops at a rather expensive looking tailor shop, and asks if they have any already made in his size, and he's willing to pay cash. He was lucky that they had a pair of pants in his size, but for the shirt he had to go one size up, and it still seems to fit him quite nicely. After he buys the suit, he asks if he can borrow their changing room and gets change, and even styles his hair a bit, he then notices that while the pants are in his size they aren't made for Humans, so he wraps his tail around his wait and hides it under his shirt. He smiles as he thinks he looks nice, then looks at the time and sees he still has plenty of time, and heads on out to where Vivian works. After a little bit he arrive at the front door of the building. Before entering, Raymond looks around, and fully takes in the surrounding area. {Despite how similar it seems to Feldoiya at times, it is very much a different place. Ubidar… Based off of what I've experienced so far, it seems like I'll have quite a bit in store for myself as I make way for my new life.} Ray thinks as he enters the OZIM Building. He looks around and sees that the place is heavily guarded with security. He walks up the reception desk. "Excuse me, but I'm a friend of someone who works here, do you think you could call someone named Vivian F. Nole, and see if it'd be alright if I watch her work." Raymond says knowing full well that sounds weird but there wasn't a better way to word it. The Receptionist looks at him in confusion, then simply begins clicking through her computer. They successfully managed to get a hold of her, and she gave the okay and so did her boss. With a surprised look on her face the Receptionist hands him a Key card and he heads on upstairs to where Vivian is. He walks over to where Vivian is, and her coworkers look at him in confusion. She has a nice Desk space near the window with a great view. He walks over to the window and looks outside. "Now that's a great View if I've ever seen one." Raymond says as he smiles, enjoying the view of a city from a different world, and soaks it in this time. Vivian turns to her left and looks outside as well.
"Well, it was one of the reasons I asked my manager if it would be alright if I could have my desk here instead of a cramped office space." Vivian says as she she smiles enjoying the view as well.
"I mean compared to the bedroom I just remodeled, this would be quite cramped after all." Raymond remarks as he compares it to the desk she had in her room before he changed it. She looks at her desk and also compares it to her old one.
"That is true, this desk would look tiny, especially in the new room." Vivian chuckles, causing further confusion among her coworkers. "Say, how much do you know about Media Documents?" Vivian asks as she points to her computer.
"Well it depends, what type of documents they are." Raymond says and stands beside her as she shows him what she means.
"Do you understand?" She asks as she looks up at him.
"That doesn't too difficult especially when compared to Odenra or RM-Oden, so I believe the answer is yes." Raymond says extending his answer on purpose. Vivian sighs as she can hear the sarcasm loud and clear.
"That's fair, hold on let me make a quick call to my manger's boss to see if it's alright if we can use our other computers while at work to get more work done, and if it's okay for you to help me." Vivian says as she grabs the phone on her desk and begins punching in some numbers.
"Okay, no worries." {To think that despite this world's advancement in technology and entertainment compared to Feldoiya, they're still using rotary phones… maybe that's just an office thing or something, I'll have to ask later.} Raymond says then thinks as he hears her call her boss. Just as Vivian is about to end the call, the entire building begins to shake a bit, and Raymond is able to immediately tell that it's not an earthquake.
"Well then, it seems like I really can't predict what this world will give me!" Raymond says as he snaps his fingers, causing everything in the building to become dark. He leans forward next to Vivian. "It seems like we'll probably be busy for a while because this is a Rift, and who knows how long or what it will do." Raymond says as he waves his hand summoning his three Odenras. Vivian's Flonoleru appears as well. Raymond has his Odenras scan the Rift That appeared in the center of the office. "No one Move, it's dangerous!" Raymond says, so that no one moves an accidentally enters it. Vivian explains something on the phone real quick, and after two minutes the conversation comes to a close and she sighs out of relief. She heads over to where Raymond is, joining him in the center of the office next to the rift. "So have you figure anything out about it yet?" Vivi asks as she looks over his shoulder and at his Odenras.
"Yes, it seems like this is a Dimensional Rift of category F, which means that if we were to enter it we would experience an entirely different world, yet when we eventually return, no time would pass from when we entered it." Raymond says trying his best to keep it simple.
"So you're saying that we could enter it, and experience it first hand, and come back without a problem?" Vivian asks as she tries to understand what he just said.
"Well yes, but unlike the pocket universe that is currently being used for garbage disposal, this will bring us to a different dimension just as big as our current one, smaller, or even bigger. Entering this would be even more dangerous than facing the Extrum, or anything else we experienced that day, or it could be much easier and more peaceful than that. They are extremely unknown on where they lead, so I mean if you wanted to enter it, you could, though you might never come back." Raymond says, explaining the risk in detail. Vivian walks closer to it and looks up at it. She looks into the Rift, and sees what seems to space on the other side, but with a vibrant blue and violet color gradient, that seems to be swirling around. The rest of it just seems to be nothingness, no darkness, no light, just nothing.
"So if we were to enter together, what would be the risk of never coming back?" Vivian asks as she continues to stare inside of the Rift.
"If we were do enter together with my Odenras on your Flonoleru, and knowing what I know about our fighting prowess, I'd say that unless we encounter stronger than both of us combined, we should almost certainly come back without much issue, though I'd have to scan the other side to see how long the rift would last." Raymond says as he understands why she's asking. Her eyes sparkle with pure excitement as she really wants to head through. "Hold on, I'll get everything ready." Raymond says as he begins preparing the Odenra that he's using for something.
"What do you mean?" Vivian asks as she looks back at him in confusion.
"I'm just setting some stuff up for when we come back, after all, we can't come back and forget what day and time it was, can we?" Raymond says as he finishes setting up the Odenra to stay back.
"Thank you!" Vivian says as she jumps with joy and shouts attracting attention, then hugs him tightly cracking some of his bones due to not controlling her excitement. After about ten seconds she noticed that she cracked his bounds and sets him down and begins healing him. "Sorry, I got too excited." She says as she focuses on healing him and calms down a bit. Raymond just laughs a little.
"What're you laughing for?" Vivian asks as she looks at him with concern as she heals him.
"It's nothing, just think of it as me laughing at myself, unless you really want to know." Raymond says, causing several of her coworkers to smile as they sit their in the dark, not being able to see anything, but still able to hear.
"Really? In that case I would like to hear it!" She says adamantly as she finishes healing him. Ray stands up and looks around as he claps his face and smiles after backing up for a little bit.
"It's simple." He says as he shakes his hands as he jumps up and down a few times.
"How so?" She asks as she sees him suddenly run toward her.
"It's cause you're cute!" Raymond says as he charges at her holding out his arms. He then tackles her into the Rift, causing everything top go blank for a second. Vivian stays in there confusion for a bit as they travel through the rift. Eventually she looks around and sees a gorgeous view of what seems to be the Multiverse, which looks like the Universe from afar, but quite different. Instead of Galaxies inside it looks like many different Universe are inside of it, and they constantly seem to be expanding. Suddenly, everything goes bright, then becomes dark. They exit the Rift, with Raymond now holding her in a princess carry. Forgetting what Ray just said, Vivi gets out of his arms, then looks around. She sees nothing but mountains and grass, as she looks around even more she notices that the air of this world is rich in magic.
{Interesting, if the world has this much magic residing in it, it must be a rather new world, or it just recovered from a mass extinction.} Ray thinks as he puts one knee on the ground, and touches it with his left hand. He decides to scan the planet to see if he can gouge the size of it. Vivi notices that he's doing something, and simply watches him. After about ten minutes he finishes scanning the planet to the best of his ability.
"Okay, so this planet is about a tenth the size of Ubidar." He remarks to himself as he waves his hand and an Odenra appears after exiting the Rift, the other Odenra and Flonoleru arrive safely as well. He begins typing down this information onto a document.
"Wait, what you you mean a tenth the size, how could a planet be so small?" Vivian questions as she looks at him like he just said something crazy. Raymond smiles as he is willingly to explain everything to her. He begins explaining the difference to her with much passion.
Summary:
Ubidar is around 34,686mi/55821.7km in diameter along the equator, and 34,254mi/55126.47km from the north to south pole. It has a surface area of approximately 933,236,740.5mi²/2417072062.0237km². The Land Area is approximately 235,175,658.606mi²/609102159.63km. 25.2% of the surface is Land, 68.4% of it is Water, 6.4% of it is Ice. As A result Ubidar is quite a large planet, which is an understatement since most planets don't even approach a third of that size, unless they are a gas giant.
"Huh, I didn't know Ubidar was so large…" Vivian says as she is barely able to keep up with the information that was just given to her. She thinks about it for a few seconds and comes to another conclusion. "Wait, so if there are many different sizes of planets, that also means that there is a large variety to how time flows for them, right?" Vivian says as she looks over at Raymond, and he gives her a thumbs up.
"Yes, though that isn't the only thing that can be different." Raymond remarks as he looks around and holds out his hand.
"What do you mean?" She asks as she notices his hand.
"Simple!" Raymond says as he raises his hand, and fires a Giant ball of Fire from his palm, sending it flying off into the distance, causing a giant explosion to occur mid air. A large shock wave from the explosion comes back and blows against them.
"Why was that so large?" Vivian asks as she admires the destructive power.
"It's because this//" Raymond says, and stops as the ground below them begins shaking vigorously. "Shit!" Raymond shouts as he ignore the shaking ground and flies off in the direction that he sent the fire in. Vivian looks around in confusion, but without missing a beat she immediately increases all attribute of her body, letting out deep green orbs, and she runs trying to keep up with Raymond, who's speed only seems to be increasing. He eventually breaks the sound barrier, and within ten minutes he manages to find where his fire struck. {Shit, this must be one of the worlds that have a tree of life!} Ray thinks as he comes to a gradual stop and begins using water magic on the tree, putting out the fire. By the time Vivian arrives around thirty minutes later, the tree is no longer on fire, and the Planet is still shaking. Raymond grabs onto Vivian's shoulders and looks into her eyes with a rather serious look on his face. "Vivian, can you regenerate body parts of other people?" He asks sternly.
"Yes, but in my current state, I will not be able to use magic for a while after since I'm not used to it." Vivian says, figuring that he wouldn't ask this for no reason.
"GOOD!" Raymond shouts then lets go of her and begins walking toward the Burned tree. "I will not fuck up this time! I will not repeat the same mistake I did that day." Raymond says to himself as he reaches for his right shoulder, and rips off his arm. Blood spilling everywhere, Vivian becomes shocked, but nonetheless runs toward him and begins healing him. Arriving at the base of the tree, he sets down his arm and looks up at the tree. "Forgive me!" Raymond says as he begins using his blood from the arm to draw a magic circle around the arm on the ground. After two minutes the magic circle is complete, and Raymond sighs as he begins to focus his mind. He holds out his left hand toward his other arm on the ground and begins chanting. "To The Soul That Resides Within This World, I Am Sorry. Please Forgive Me, And Take This Arm Filled With The Energy Of Life To Heal Yourself." Raymond says and after about a minute of silence, a brightly light appears from the circle, causing the Planet to stop shaking. The blood coming out of the arm, begins flowing to the burnt tree. Slowly, the blood climbs up and around the tree, covering it in the shape of a vine all around it. The bright light continues glowing brighter, glowing gold as it begins to pulse through the blood. This continues for around a half hour. After that time has passed, the light becomes blinding, causing Raymond to cover his eyes, everything going blank. Vivian collapses after she finishes healing his arm, while Raymond passes out from using too much Life Magic. The Tree that was previously burnt is now Vibrant and full of life. Though it is not the same as it was before. The bark now has a deep blue hue, and the leaves seem to have become a soft rose. There also seems to be a large flower bud that seems to be growing from the base of the tree, where his arm was. After about three hours, Raymond wakes up. He gets up and looks around, he sees that the tree is alive once more, and smiles. Raymond looks over to his right and sees Vivian still passed out on the ground and his arm fully regrown. He still senses life from her, and smiles, with tears flowing down his eyes. {I succeeded this time… I didn't let anyone die…} Raymond thinks, sighing out of relief. He looks up at the sky, seeing that it's still day time. Ray looks over at her on the ground, sweat all over her face with a slight pained look. Without realizing it as he sits up, he rubs his fingers across her face to wipe away her sweat. {I really need to decide what I want to do with myself and my future…} Raymond thinks as he smiles softly, moving over to lean on the World Tree. He begins to think about what to do with himself as he relaxes a bit. Two hours go by and he smiles, looking up at the sky once more. Vivian moves a little bit, causing him to look over at her. She stretches a little bit before she rubs her eyes, sitting up, yawning. "Welcome back to reality." Raymond says happily with a bit of a teasing smile. Vivian looks around, wondering where she is, until she realizes that she's still in the other world.
"Your Arm!" She Shouts as she quickly gets up, almost as if she was never tired, going over to him. She grabs his shoulders, taking a closer look at his arm.
"Last I checked, seems like it healed just fine to me." Raymond says in a bit of a teasing manner once more.
"Thankfully it healed properly!" She says letting out a large sigh of relief as she falls back, sitting down on the ground. "That could've been bad!" She remarks as she looks at him, only to see a serious look on his face.
"Thank you Vivian, I'm sorry I made you do something you weren't fully experienced or comfortable with. Seriously, thank you!" Raymond says as he bows his head. Vivian, not knowing how to respond to such a statement simply, pats his shoulder. She thinks about it for a few seconds and manages to come up with something.
"It's okay, based off of how everything turned out, saving this tree and planet was far more important than your own arm. It also was a good learning experience for me." Vivian says as he looks up at her.
"How so?" He asks, slightly tilting his head to the side.
"I now know how to apply healing magic on a person, even if it takes a while, though I'm not sure if that was because of my inexperience or your body rejecting the way I was trying to heal you." Vivian says, explaining it simply. She smiles as the two of them begin chatting for the next two hours as they bicker and forth, explaining to each other a bit about how their magic works. As they chat Raymond understands the basic principal behind her magic, while Vivian doesn't grasp much of how his magic work. Vivian sits there in confusion as she tries to understand what he explained to her.
"I'll make sure to explain things in more detail once we begin some basic training, how does that sound?" Raymond suggest, seeing her clear confusion.
"That sounds fair, let's do that then." She says, nodding as she moves on from their previous conversation.
"Well then, shall we head back now?" Raymond says as he stretches his arms in the air.
"Wait, we can go home this quickly?" Vivian asks surprised by this sudden news.
"Yes, it does depend on each world, but since this Dimensional Rift was able to get analyzed quickly, we're able to leave sooner." Raymond says as he stands up. Vivian stands up as well and stretches her arms as well. They nod at each other, eventually making their way back to where they entered from. Raymond stops just before they enter the rift and takes out one of his Odenras.
"Why'd you take out an Odenra?" Vivian asks as she looks back at him to see what he's doing.
"Well… It's simply a habit of mine…" Raymond says as he lets the information hang in the air for a few seconds. "I always leave behind an Odenra as a way to not only see the development of a planet in the future, but as a way to know that I've been to these worlds before if they appear in front of me. I set them to be invisible and scan the planet until it detects my presence again, and returns to me automatically." Ray says as he smiles somberly, finishing up the set up process.
"I see… in that case, this Odenra will be missed!" Vivian says as she gives it a quick salute. The two of them watch as it turns invisible as they back into the Dimensional Rift, vanishing from this old world.
